Country music star John Rich just became Garth Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood’s worst nightmare after delivering a brutal roast that leaves the couple absolutely trashed after the two posted a video supporting Ukraine. Many who saw the video from the two country superstars thought it was, well, a little bit creepy. And, to be honest, it absolutely is.
Also, the fact that billions and billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars are being sent over to Ukraine while our economic woes continue to fester and negatively impact every American family, especially the middle class, makes these out-of-touch, rich celebrities posting videos like this even more despicable.

It seems like Garthff could at least provide some facts, like how much money the Big Bidet family looted from Ukraine and whether evidence of any crimes is safe.

Whenever Garth sings I hear the voice of Pat Buttram. Yeah, look it up.

FTA: “ Kay Smythe, a writer for the Daily Caller, noted that mocking Garth Brooks is usually low-hanging fruit; however, John Rich went far above and beyond the call of duty and slammed the superstar while also calling him out for the misuse of tax dollars in one simple tweet. And that, my friends, takes a whole lot of talent.”
Creepy smarminess drips from phony Garth Brooks. Trying to play both sides by saccharine sweet “butter wouldn’t melt in his mouth” attempts to equate evil with good. Michael Cantrell’s displayed some very satisfying talent in this piece as well.

I thought he retired, if not he {Garth Brooks} should. Another case of someone throwing his base into the water under the elitists.

Re #4, and facts to support your assertions?
Let's see....if the US government were corrupt, and run by communists ---- AND IT IS. Would that mean that if Russia wanted to invade us and take us over it would be OK, because, hey - our government isn't perfect, and so what the heck - being invaded would be a good thing, right?
I support Ukraine's right to fight for their independence from the evil imperial Russian war machine, as I would support Poland, or Lithuania, or Finland or any other country - regardless of my opinion of their governement. Countries have a right to NOT be invaded and subjugated. I am not willing send US soldiers to fight and die, but sending weapons seems like us paying it forward for France helping us to fight against a similarly imperialist British king several hundred years ago.
I'm amazed by the folks who live in a country that is still at least somewhat free because a superpower of 1776 era sent arms, ammunition, and even whole armies and a squadron of their navy to help us win our freedom would deny even LESS support, no troops, no navy, just weapons to another country struggling for their freedom.

Re #8 - so let's invade Mexico, Central America, and all the other countries where these invaders are coming from but no - we have to protect Ukraine from what exactly? Russian imperialism? Seems Russia can do all sorts of things: Get Trump elected in 2016 but not in 2020, hack all our IT systems when it really is the CCP doing the serious hacking but it just can't seem to win its war with Ukraine. Wow-what a mighty war machine Russia has.

It is so refreshing to have very, very wealthy people telling the average, hard-working American citizen what to do. Not. If they are compelled to send money to Ukraine, so be it. I will donate my money locally. . .

The need to protect laundered money is strong in the rich. Let’s send more money to the single most corrupt country in the world… US out of Ukraine. Out.

From what I've seen of Garth Brooks lately, he belongs in an old folks home sitting in a rocker - next to our President.

It is comforting to know that if Ukraine is overrun and subjugated, it's democracy ended, it's factories and mines and resources plundered, and it's children subjected to militarized nationalist indoctrination, that our economic problems and our immigration problems will all magically improve.

Agree #8
After 9/11, Ukraine committed a brigade to our cause, although the weren't obligated by Article 5. That makes them an ally. They were there for us. Now we're going to complain about sending them...stuff? Things? Object's?
At a cost that equates to less than 40 cents a day per taxpayer?
For 40 cents a day I can disabuse an authoritarian police state of its delusions of grandeur and tell them in no uncertain terms that NOBODY wants the 20th Century back? That they should accept their role as a larger, more shabby, more alcoholic version of Norway?
This is some of the best money I ever spent.

#8. first para: strawman
second para: ethnic Russians in the Donbas wanted what they were promised in the Minsk Agreement - a free vote on whether to stay in Ukraine or not. What did they get? Attacked by Kiev regime and about 14,000 dead. Could make the case that those "evil Rooskies" intervened to save freedom fighters looking for independence. Isn't that the USA/NATO's normal excuse for starting color revolutions.
third para: another specious argument. I dare say most of those that supported US independence regret that decision today. However, their reasons then were to weaken an enemy. Similar to us today but with other undercurrents. US/NATO don't give a toss for the dead Ukrainians. They are just cannon fodder to climb over to pursue Neocon hatred of Russia or Mackinder/Brzezinski Doctrines or banker, BLK, JPM greed or "when all else fails we take them to war".
For those so gung-ho to support Ukraine, put your life where our money is and go join them in the meat grinder.

Re #19, no I do not plan on fighting in Ukraine, and have never recommended that any American troops be sent there. I know two young American civiilans who went there in 2016 to fight, and I gave them a bit of money to help them with medical supplies. I had a nephew die in combat in Afghanistan, and that was sadly for nothing. I didn't really see that Afghanistan was worth more than perhaps a few nukes, and we'd never do that, so it was highly questionable from day one.
I am happy to send my 40 cents a day to help them fight for their OWN country.
Pushing off ideas on me that I never espoused, like another poster has done is just dishonest. I have NEVER said any Americans should be sent to fight, or that I was willing to fight and possibly die for Ukraine. There is only one country that I'd be willing to do that for.

Just think, #17, for the low, low, low price of 40 cents a day, we can do for Ukraine what we did for Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam.
And who wouldn't want that? Money well spent, indeed.
It might be worth disabusing oneself of the quaint but idealistic 20th century notion that money spent on foreign wars actually buys anything beyond prolonged misery, destruction, and death . . . as well as Italian villas, Swiss bank accounts, and ever-increasing power for a dark cadre of the global elite.
