Joe Biden made several of the wrong sorts of headlines during his recent trip to England and then to the NATO summit. First, there were the awkward interactions between the President, the Welsh Guards, and King Charles III. Then there were more bad visuals during the summit in Vilnius. As Karen already discussed yesterday, one of the agenda items that had a lot of people talking was Biden’s decision to skip the leadership dinner and return to his hotel room in Lithuania. A few different reasons were offered for that. There was the public excuse given by his staff who said that the

A Republican POTUS with similar behavior wouldn’t make it very long before leakers within his administration gave up details. Democrats protect their own with discipline and loyalty a Republican could only dream of.

In my mind, the reason WHY he was absent is less important than the fact he was absent. Period. No joke. And these stories don’t bother me any more. His health and mental acuity (or lack thereof) are getting to be tiresome subjects.

Pink isn't well. He stayed back at the hotel. Biden's handlers can't send him out on stage. The meds don't last 24 hours but giving him more could OD him. That's how so many rock stars end up dead. Biden's handlers are walking a fine line.

I just saw some video at airport of Joe getting ready to depart Helsinki (I think) and there was a woman with a baby in the crowd and good ol Joe comes over and he's practically trying to plant his lips on the baby's lips. And the mother is holding her baby girl and she is all smiles. What is wrong with these people?

I wonder how many of the other leaders noticed he was missing. In every photo I've seen of biden with other leaders, he seems always to be off to the side, almost as an afterthought. President Trump was always front and center when he was in a room with world leaders. What a contrast!

Hey, Jazz Shaw, WHY are you so partial and complimentary to old Joe, as you call him, when all he has done is destroy the country for money?!? Mental decline is nothing new and something must of us will eventually have. He's no different, so stop kissing up in order to appear polite: he deserves no pity whatsoever. He always wanted this job. He has created no jobs for anyone except for politics. He never built anything in private practice. He has been sucking off the public sector money his entire life. He should be hauled off the stage and placed somewhere we don't have to suffer his wicked sarcasm and senility anymore. And he probably didn't go to the dinner because the venue had no Depends.

For colleges and libraries seeking a boldfaced name for a guest lecturer, few come bigger than Sonia Sotomayor, the Supreme Court justice who rose from poverty in the Bronx to the nation’s highest court. She has benefited, too — from schools’ purchases of hundreds, sometimes thousands, of the books she has written over the years. Sotomayor’s staff has often prodded public institutions that have hosted the justice to buy her memoir or children’s books, works that have earned her at least $3.7 million since she joined the court in 2009. Details of those events, largely out of public view, were obtained by The Associated Press through more than 100 open records

The First Amendment is under assault by the very people entrusted to protect it. The Biden administration and the corporate media removed any doubt about this after a July 4 ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughty. Evidence revealed during the discovery process in Missouri v. Biden convinced the judge that administration officials illegally pressured social media platforms to censor disfavored views. Doughty issued a 155-page opinion and an injunction prohibiting federal officials from “pressuring or coercing social-media companies in any manner to remove, delete, suppress, or reduce posted content of postings containing protected free speech.”

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, President Biden falsely claimed that Russia is at war with Iraq. Russia is at war with Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin is “clearly losing the war in Iraq,” Biden told the press pool, “losing the war at home. And he has become a bit of a pariah around the world.” On Tuesday, during an unrelated fundraising event in Chevy Chase, Md., Biden made the exact same slip-up, mistaking Ukraine for Iraq. “If anybody told you … that we’d be able to bring all of Europe together in the onslaught on Iraq and get NATO to be completely united,” the president said,

Joe Biden is Inspector Jacques Clouseau. We don’t know whether to laugh (Clouseau) or cry (Biden). In fantasy, Clouseau bumbled his way to success. In reality, Biden is a failure; worse, a danger to himself and to others. He is America’s nightmare, more hazardous to the world than climate change. The dark comedy of Biden’s mental decay/physical decline is evidenced daily when his caretakers let him out, after dosing his secret, volatile medication. Sleep apnea, previously undisclosed, is the latest alibi for his dysfunction. His medical records are no more transparent than Hunter Biden’s tax returns, and the president’s doctor won’t come clean.

As expected, the Supreme Court ruled on Friday that President Biden doesn’t have the constitutional authority to “forgive” $430 billion in student loan debt. The decision, written by Chief Justice Roberts, drove the point home by quoting former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s 2021 statement regarding Biden’s power to do so without the consent of Congress: “People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not.” Yet, Biden defiantly insisted Friday afternoon that the Court’s decision was wrong and that he plans to keep pushing for his massive giveaway scheme under the aegis of the Higher Education Act (HEA).

In the past five days, Comer stated, more bank records have come in revealing “more bank accounts, more shell companies and more Biden’s.”

A former business partner of Hunter and James Biden, who worked directly with them on a 2017 China energy deal, was never asked to testify to a Delaware grand jury investigating Hunter Biden, two sources familiar with the discussions tell CBS News. Tony Bobulinski, the former business partner, was open to testifying, and his attorney reached out to the office of Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss. Weiss did not return their calls, the sources said. Weiss' decision not to bring Bobulinski is the latest indication that prosecutors investigating Hunter Biden may have avoided investigating allegations about his father, President Joe Biden. In October 2020, Bobulinski was invited by the Trump campaign

A federal indictment, on top of a local prosecutor's indictment in New York City, seems not to have affected Trump's national poll numbers at all. By the old standards of politics, it makes no sense. The Biden administration announced Friday that it would forgive $39 billion in student loans for 804,000 borrowers, explaining it had pursued certain fixes to existing income-driven-repayment plans. “For far too long, borrowers fell through the cracks of a broken system that failed to keep accurate track of their progress towards forgiveness,” Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a written statement. These income-driven plans set a forgiveness threshold of 20 or 25 years. Borrowers must make payments that qualify over this period — payments that can be as low as $0 based on an individual’s income and family situation. “By fixing past administrative failures, we are ensuring everyone gets the forgiveness they deserve,

Last night, Fox News host Jessie Watters, like the rest of the nation, couldn’t stomach the United States Secret Service’s conclusion that it couldn’t figure out who brought cocaine into the White House. The law enforcement agency has the names of 500 individuals in or around the vestibule where the drugs were discovered, but supposedly no video evidence that can zero in on a person of interest. Due to the lack of a solid suspect, the agency is closing its investigation. Katie had more on this yesterday. She included the statement from the Secret Service:

Ron DeSantis’s once-vaunted presidential bid is in freefall. In the latest ominous sign for the Florida governor, Rupert Murdoch’s media empire appears to be distancing itself from his candidacy, with once-supportive outlets from Fox News and the New York Post to The Wall Street Journal highlighting his flagging poll numbers, his policy inconsistencies, and his cringeworthy attempts to connect with voters in key primary states. Should the DeSantis campaign fizzle out, comparisons with previous GOP stars-turned-flops like Jeb Bush, his predecessor in Tallahassee, are inevitable. But a more revealing analogy for DeSantis is to the most disappointing candidacy in the 2020 Democratic field: that of Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
