Reparations demands are spiking and Democrats
have this astonishing reaction

"It's time to pay." Those four words from Missouri Democrat Rep. Cori Bush are being heard a lot by Democratic politicians across the country this month. For Bush, the debt amounts to $14 trillion in reparations for Black Americans. In California, activists are demanding as much as $5 million per Black resident and asking Gov. Gavin Newsom "where's the money?" One member of Newsom's Reparations Task Force demanded that the state pay its "sin bill" In New York and Chicago, mayors are balking at towering costs from migrants being shipped from the border to their "sanctuary" cities.

Comments:

It was Democrats who historically supported slavery, the confederacy, and Jim Crow. If they want to pay reparations, let them pay out of their own pockets. Maybe Soros can help.

Why reparations now. Just look at every communist democratic run city in the country and you'll know why. The people are total illiterates. There is no education in these cities. People can't read or write and can barely communicate with anyone. The public schools are nothing but war zones and the communist democrats refuse to allow school choice to those few who want it. And jobs are not the answer because people don't even have the basic skills to hold any kind of job. You see, communist democrats have done their job, the total destruction of the black community. Crime, drugs, car jackings, assaults and protests, the common theme in every democratic run city. And people still don't get it.

Why does this generation of blacks deserve reparations. They weren't slaves and they have Affirmative Action jobs. Who will pay the next generation after this generation has tossed their reparations away in dope and alcohol and mansions they wil trash. The fact is that we (white Americans) have been paying reparations for years, we have tried to educate them so they can be gainfully employed, we have placed them in our schools and watched them destroy the educations of our own children. We have watched the kill each other in our cities. What good is handing money to people who do not know what to do with it?

The idea that people who never owned slaves must, 160+ years after slavery ended, pay large amounts of money to people who never were slaves, in a state that never had any slaves, and never had slavery......is completely irrational, and going to beat the heck out of Dems. They have set loony, ridiculous, completely unworkable "expectation" among one of their key constituencies....the black welfare grifter class. This is going to be fun to watch. The grifters screaming louder and getting angrier over a non-existent thing which absolutely cannot happen. Enjoy the firestorm you have created Dems.

Re #13. They have indeed raised the expectation of the ghetto class community and we will now see riotsthat will make the BLM riots look peaceful in comparison. California and the cities don’t even have the money to send these people a five dollar gift card much less a five million dollar check. When they don’t get it, they will proceed to loot stores, rob banks and kill innocent citizens. This reparations business by race would be blatantly unconstitutional and will die quickly if it got to SCOTUS thus further enraging the black underclass. The Dems have let an evil genie out of it’s bottle and they won’t be able to put him back.

If hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese boat people and East Asians can come to this country and make it within one generation, five generations of another culture should be able to at least claw way up to middle-class respectability, given a century and a half of opportunity, and tons of federal entitlements, just for them. It’s easy: respect the law, find employment, don’t have kids until you can afford them, don’t be violent and stupid. Almost a half-million dead in the Civil War and trillions of dollars since President Johnson’s Civil Rights Act, America has sufficiently paid up. What kind of prideless person would take this money? "Grievance" is the only reason people vote Democrat. That is no "glue" to hold your party base together, and no platform to sell as a vision for the nation. They've switched allegiances over the years to capture the ever expanding disgruntled hate groups in America from Unions to blacks to Hispanics to college-loan-debt-ridden youth to Muslim immigrants and now they bring under the tent, sexual deviants+pedophiles+perverts who have, according to Demonrats, been underrepresented and voiceless in the "halls of power." Is this all the Democrats have? Has their vision for America devolved to comport with the lowest creatures in the national zoo? A full-on embrace of criminality to the point of Hedonism is their new Party Pledge and Platform? God will judge this nation accordingly, and it won't be pleasant.

We have already had over half a century of "reparations" in the form of preferential treatment of Blacks in college admissions, grading, hiring, promotion, and government contracting. Furthermore, all the "systemic racism" bandied about was rendered illegal by the civil rights and voting rights acts of 1964 and 1965. Anyolne still behind after all that has only themselves to blame. Didn't get that grade you wanted? Work harder. Didn't get that promotion you wanted? Work harder. Watch for the Supreme Court to issue an opinion this month ending affirmative action as unconsitutional, using language that makes it clear that racial "reparations" would also be unconstitutional, telegraphing that any racial "reparations" case brought before them will be struck down as unconstitutional as well. "Reparations" is notbeginning. It's over.

If you want a good indication that conservatives are, at long last, scoring a few actual victories these days, look at the apoplexy it’s causing those on the left. A prime example is a piece written by Jill Lawrence, a former editor at USA Today, which posted on July 4 on MSNBC and carried the scary title: “Seeing the erosion of our freedoms makes it hard to celebrate this Fourth of July.” It is a remarkable display of fearmongering, incoherence, and illogic. “The Supreme Court, conservative governors and gerrymandered state legislatures are racing to shrink fundamental rights and freedoms,” Lawrence writes. “The result is that tens of millions of Americans

Democrats lost significant ground among minority populations over the last decade. Between the 2012 and 2020 presidential elections, black voters moved six points towards Republicans and Latinos shifted eight. The exception to this trend was Asian American voters, who inched one point towards Democrats over those eight years. In 2022, this silver lining dulled appreciably. New data from the analytic firm Catalist shows that Democrats struggled with Asian American voters in the midterms. The demographic lurched seven percent towards Republicans in just two years—more than any other major ethnic category. The president is trying to navigate a narrow path between two potential disasters. Each one could prove fatal to his tenure, but if the twain shall meet, he doesn’t have a prayer. And it’s a near certainty they will meet because the facts we already know are overwhelmingly stacked against him and more damaging information is coming soon. One track of his predicament stems from general public unhappiness with his performance.
