Democrats’ Insidious Assault on ‘Our Democracy’

Original Article

At least as far back as the inauguration of President Donald Trump in January 2017 and the “Women’s March” that followed the next day, Democrats and left-wing activists have invariably complained about the imminent perils threatening “our democracy.” Time and again, Democrats have depicted virtually any action they do not approve of — from uncouth Trump tweets to state-level GOP-led election-integrity initiatives to standard originalist Supreme Court picks — as ushering in proto-authoritarianism or “democratic backsliding,” to use the corporate media’s favorite term of art.

Our Democracy is held together by a 'societal glue' that has, up till fairly recent decades, held pretty well. But in trying to appease ever smaller factions of segregated peoples, (some segregated by truly ridiculous measures of how they set themselves apart) our glue has absorbed so many impurities and dilutions, that it is losing its ability to keep us together. We no longer believe in the same things, nor hope for a same future.

Aren’t we a Representative Republic? To me, the word democracy has no meaning anymore. It has been so smeared and bastardized by the the dems that it has no meaning or impact when dems use the word. Definitions to so many words have been changed by democrats lies and slander.

I forget which lamebrain democrat first coined that term, Schmucky Schumer or Ninny Pelosi, but it certainly resonated with the media. It covers our every attempt to remind those dolts that there is a Constitution and Bill of Rights that backs us up every time we identify one of their criminal attempts to act outside those carefully-created documents by breaking rules of morality and civilized society. We call out instances of murder, child grooming and mutilation, abuse of power and we are slapped with the "Our Democracy" curse.

Will Asian Americans Retreat from Democrats? 7 replies

Democrats lost significant ground among minority populations over the last decade. Between the 2012 and 2020 presidential elections, black voters moved six points towards Republicans and Latinos shifted eight. The exception to this trend was Asian American voters, who inched one point towards Democrats over those eight years. In 2022, this silver lining dulled appreciably. New data from the analytic firm Catalist shows that Democrats struggled with Asian American voters in the midterms. The demographic lurched seven percent towards Republicans in just two years—more than any other major ethnic category. And while Asian Americans, who make up around four percent of the voting electorate

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., is taking aim at the Pentagon over its opposition to her bill that would combat sexual assault in the military by requiring service members to take monthly self-defense classes. The bill, H.R. 1434, or the Stop Our Sexual Assault in the Military Act, comes as the annual number of sexual assaults in the military has increased. According to a 2021 Pentagon report, more than 4,000 assaults occurred in that year alone, an increase of 26% from the previous year. "The DOD’s response to my office says all you need to know about the state of our military right now. It seems that the DOD prioritizes wokeness

In news that is shocking Hollywood and the mainstream media elite world, Angel Studios’ movie “Sound of Freedom” beat out the latest long-promoted Indiana Jones sequel on July 4th, despite having a tiny fraction of the budget and media attention. The Sound of Freedom, starring Jim Caviezel and Eduardo Verástegui, is based on a true story of a former special agent, Tim Ballard, and his mission to rescue hundreds of children from sex traffickers. CPAC hosted a special screening for “Sound of Freedom” at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, a couple of weeks ago to bring awareness to the crisis and announce the unveiling of CPAC’s

As a long-standing free speech advocate, the last few years have been alarming and, frankly, depressing. The censorship efforts of the government are, unfortunately, not new. However, what is new is the support of the media and the Democratic Party in such censorship. That was on display on various channels after the recent opinion finding that the Biden administration had violated the First Amendment in "the most massive attack against free speech in United States history." However, the New York Times immediately warned that the outbreak of free speech could "curtail efforts to combat disinformation." Yet, no one expressed it more simply and chillingly than CNN Chief White House Correspondent

Stein’s Law holds that “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.” The late Herbert Stein made the observation about economic trends, but his axiom perfectly describes Joe Biden’s shaky dance with political death. The president is trying to navigate a narrow path between two potential disasters. Each one could prove fatal to his tenure, but if the twain shall meet, he doesn’t have a prayer. And it’s a near certainty they will meet because the facts we already know are overwhelmingly stacked against him and more damaging information is coming soon. One track of his predicament stems from general public unhappiness with his performance.

Americans weighed in on whether President Biden was living up to his demand for "honor and decency" in the White House following the discovery of cocaine in the West Wing and after activists went topless on the South Lawn. "Nah, cocaine, cocaine in the White House, that never happens," one man told Fox News. Biden tweeted during the 2020 presidential election that "we need to restore honor and decency to the White House." Meanwhile, over the weekend, cocaine was found in a part of the White House that visitors can't access unless they're receiving a tour from staff.

Imagine if we learned Biden Administration officials had secretly jawboned the New York Times on trans issues. Or told baseball teams they should fly pride flags - or face antitrust hearings. Or complained to the History Channel over a documentary depicting the discovery of crude oil positively. The First Amendment concerns would be obvious. We’d all wonder why government officials thought they could tell private companies what opinions and news to carry. The American government is hugely powerful. Not even the biggest company can ignore a call from the White House. If the executive branch has something to say, it should do so with press conferences and open advertising

Multiple liberal outlets have trashed the new film "Sound of Freedom" as "QAnon-adjacent" and "fit for QAnon" in recent days, descriptions that relegate the film about human trafficking to fodder for conspiracy theorists. Both U.K. publication The Guardian and website Jezebel claimed that the film starring Jim Caviezel, which was based on the true story of a U.S. Homeland Security agent rescuing two young children from human traffickers in South America, was attached to QAnon, a right-wing community that has been accused of buying into fringe conspiracy theories. Although the film, produced by Angel Studios and released over the July 4 holiday, never engages in such conspiracy theories while exposing

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., is calling on the head of the U.S. Secret Service to give Congress more information about the bag of cocaine found inside the White House in recent days. He blasted the illicit discovery as a "shameful" moment for the White House in a letter to Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle, demanding a staff-level briefing on the matter by next week. "This alarming development requires the Committee to assess White House security practices and determine whose failures led to an evacuation of the building and finding of the illegal substance," Comer wrote, adding that his committee would need "additional information."

Growing up in the Jim Crow South, my parents grew up dreaming of a world where they didn’t have to use “colored-only” restrooms, sit in the back of the bus, attend segregated schools, and could sit in restaurants together with other Americans – regardless of their race, creed, or nationality. They dreamed of equality for all. Yet, almost 70 years after the Supreme Court struck down “separate but equal,” the recent decision to strike down affirmative action makes it clear that many black progressives like Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson – who benefited from the Brown v. Board of Education decision – still view the issues of race and equality through

The headlines were stark and specific. Reuters claimed, “World registers hottest day ever recorded on July 3.” Well, “ever recorded” is misleading since the records have only been “recorded” since 1979. But what kind of a headline would that have been? At least the BBC was honest about their scare headline: “World’s hottest day since records began.” The bottom line: We’re all going to burn up and we’re all going to die unless we throw an hysterical climate change tantrum and demand that our government take panicky steps to save us from the climate change demons. There’s no doubt that this Independence Day was hot. It was very hot. It was uncomfortably hot

An archbishop in the Church of England said the opening of the “Lord’s Prayer” is considered “problematic” to some people because the 2,000-year-old prayer starts by addressing God as “Our Father.” Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell told the General Synod, the legislating and ruling body of the Church of England, that referring to God as “father” might be offensive to some people because of the negative connotations of patriarchy. “I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have labored rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Cottrell said,

Major legal rulings that dismantled the use of race in college admissions, undermined protections for LGBTQ people and tossed out President Joe Biden’s student debt relief program marked the end of a Supreme Court term in which the conservative supermajority continued to exert its dominance. The majority also doubled down on a controversial legal theory that limits the power of federal agencies to take unilateral action. Meanwhile, the justices rejected a far-fetched argument that would have limited the role of state courts in election disputes and turned away an aggressive attempt to challenge Biden administration immigration policy – both areas in which lawyers on the right might have overreached in their arguments.

New York Magazine’s “Intelligencer” feature ran a fawning portrayal of President Joe Biden Friday, which mostly focused on his ice cream habits, cute text arguments with wife Jill, and his aching desire to be home in Delaware. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was slammed for bowing multiple times when she met with China's vice premier He Lifeng, as some critics say the protocol error is a sign of American weakness. Yellen, who served as chair of the Federal Reserve before becoming Joe Biden's top financial official, wrapped up her first visit to China as treasury secretary on Sunday. Moments after bowing at least three times, Yellen then stumbled over He's name, calling him 'Vice Premier Hu.' Both Washington and Beijing said the meetings during her four-day trip were fruitful, although the visit - designed to help smooth a rocky relationship - did not generate any concrete agreements.
