A federal judge wants to know if ex-President Donald Trump plans to attend a New York trial this month resulting from a columnist’s claims that he raped her in a department store dressing room in the 1990s.
Judge Lewis A. Kaplan issued an order Monday directing parties in the case to notify him by April 20 whether they will be present throughout the trial, scheduled to start April 25 in Manhattan federal court.

Whatever. The only people concerned about this are those who want it to be a problem for President Trump. And, this woman is a raving lunatic.

Is this the one where the most recognizable man in NYC "raped" a women in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room after a chance meeting? Why, oh why, would anyone doubt her?
If only Juanita Broaddrick had as strong a case.

As though this man had to rape a woman in a department store dressing room? The absurdity is staggering...

This makes the obvious anti-Trumpers salivate, but is there no statute of limitations on claims like this? Did she report it to police? Rape kit? If not, why not?

Missed this below the ad:
“The rape claims were made immediately after a temporary state law took effect allowing adult rape victims to sue their abusers, even if attacks happened decades ago.”
What is a “temporary state law”?

As I remember this, her description of the layout of Bergdorf Goodman was inaccurate. Meaning she was lying.

So someone who can't remember when a rape occurred, never reported a rape, was allegedly raped in a store dressing room but nobody noticed, and only three decades later suddenly remembered to report it after a "temporary law" (whatever that is) came in to play is to be taken seriously? If the alleged attacker were not Donald Trump, this woman would have been laughed out of court for lack of specifics. However, since it involves Trump, the allegations must be true! If the claims were against someone like Bill Clinton or JFK, then the woman is just a crazy part of a right wing conspiracy.

This may fall under the ex post facto provision of the Constitution. Associated Press did not explain the difference between criminal and civil trials. The article is misleading.

Whole bunch of Legal beagles thinking they are Cool...like Fonzie.
Happy Days!
The final season was nothing but teasers for the final Shark Jump, most people had tuned out already.
They are all only Harry Winklers, never a cool dude in real life, and looking for that "Role of a Lifetime".
They are all being cheered on and supported by a bunch of would be Woodwards, media members hoping that they too will become a household name via a series of govt leaks, politically driven....rather than any genuine investigatory/writing talent.

Insanity aside, hasn't the statute of limitations kicked in on charges like these?

The way I figure it, this is her revenge for him brushing her off when she threw herself at him all those years ago. Trump has never ever needed to use violence to be with a woman. He has had them throwing themselves at his feet since he was married to Ivana all those decades ago.

Another NYC fuse is burning...and let's not forget that the evidentiary standard in a civil case is the preponderance standard, meaning the burden of proof is met when the jury finds that there is a greater than 50% chance that the claim is true. What do you think the odds are? Can you see the headlines?
