Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) suffered setbacks on Tuesday night, losing a major policy bill that was set to be included in the annual defense legislation, as well as watching his outsize influence over the party wither away after Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) won reelection in Georgia.
Over the last two years, Manchin has acted as somewhat of a gatekeeper within his party, often using his vote to negotiate and boost his own priorities in exchange for support on a Democratic bill.

He should come over to our side. He would be a key vote and get some influence back.

I wonder, what ever happened to elected representatives representing the people who elected them?? It's always about 'negotiate and boost his own priorities'.....when was the last time your Rep or Senator sent you a questionaire about what you think/want? Been a loooong time here in Indiana....

He's no republican. But it would be hilarious if he switched parties. If he did, he could better represent his state.
He Joe.....you do know that the democrats hate you!! Switching parties wouldn't make them hate you any less.

Manchin is probably going to lose if he runs as a Democrat in 2024. Now maybe he's planning to retire and not seek another term, so he doesn't care.
If Walker had won, I would have expected Manchin to switch parties. But now, he probably will stay put. Although moving now brings the Senate back to 50-50. If Manchin wants to run in 2024, running as a Republican might be a wise move.

When does a fool like this understand that his party, the democrats eat their own. When will he realize you don't make a deal with the devil. How Manchin remains a democrat is appalling.

How does Manchin remain a D? The party that wrote the law requiring Epi Pens mandatory in schools and public buildings while Manchin’s daughter was a big wig at the company that made them, and increased their cost from affordable to extortionate upon the bill’s passing?
The party that made his family multi-generational wealthy? That guys motives are suspect to you?
Here’s a hint……ANYONE with a D after their name will kill you and walk on your body for a nickel.
They. Are. All. S cum.

soon to be known as Lonely Joe, Manchin this idiot is still of the opinion that he has value for the demcommies - he doesn't and now that that Warnock has 6 years ahead of him Manchin is like extraneous baggage to the demcommies
- Sinema is next unless the buckles down and toes the line, once she steps on Schumer's toes, she's history

ONE MORE TIME: His LIFETIME voting record is 23% conservative (Am. Conservative Union). A true 'moderate' rates between 40% and 60%. Couldn't happen to a nicer traitor.

Joe, besides retirement, you have one move left. There is a certain senator from AZ who is also getting bad treatment from the Dems. The two of you changing teams shifts the balance of power in the senate, wipes the smirk off of Biden's face, and gives Schumer back the knife he stuck in your back.

Jump, Joe, Jump! and Bring Sinema with you! What a Huge Shakeup that would be in the Senate. It would blow things sky high!! If those Two would Switch Parties we would actually have a chance to shut down Biden! We would have a chance to change the way this country is headed under his Rule. PULLEEEZE Jump! You would be a Hero! If you stay in the Democrat Party you will forever be a Nobody!!

Joe's finding the going a little rougher now that he's not the lynchpin in the Senate. Payback is generally swift. Wonder what basement office Schumer will assign him. Will he switch parties? Could happen. Shades of Jumpin' Jim Jeffords!
