Incumbent Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski is in danger of losing the seat she has held for two decades to a challenger from her own party backed by former President Trump. A Republican has roughly a 99% chance to win next month's Alaska senate election, with Republican challenger Kelly C. Tshibaka considered mostly likely to emerge with the victory at 53%, according to election forecaster FiveThirtyEight.
Tshibaka, a Trump-backed Republican challenger who previously served as a commissioner of the Alaska Department of Administration, is currently locked in a tight battle with Murkowski after the incumbent senator generated controversy by supporting the impeachment of former President Trump

First Lady Kamala Harris on Monday marked the celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day on social media, but she ignored Columbus Day.
“On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we pay respect to Tribal Nations and indigenous history,” Harris wrote on social media. “Today and every day, let us continue to celebrate and uplift the rich contributions of Indigenous peoples — their leadership has made our country stronger.”
At the time of publication, the vice president did not post anything on social media about Columbus Day, as most leftists typically condemn the holiday as racist:

Concerns over President Joe Biden’s recent very public displays of possibly age-related mental impairments have jumped among voters since mid-summer, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. And these worries aren’t partisan, with a majority of all political groups, including Democrats, now expressing concern.
In early August, we asked Americans: “Some people are concerned about President Biden’s mental health. How concerned are you about President Biden’s mental health?” At the time, a number of public displays of unsteadiness, confusion, and verbal gaffes seen in the media suggested to many that the nation’s commander-in-chief’s mental acuity was questionable.

The United Nations is considering sending armed troops to Haiti following a request from the country's government, U.N. officials confirmed on Sunday night.
U.N. chief António Guterres said the agency is considering deploying armed forces "to help the country address immense humanitarian concerns."
Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry made the request for help to the larger international community as a whole over the weekend because of "the risk of a major humanitarian crisis." Ariel asked for a "specialized armed force" to intervene.
Guterres sent a letter to the U.N. Security Council outlining various options for enhanced security support. Haiti is dealing with rising cases of cholera

PayPal stock tumbled Monday after reports circulated that the company’s updated acceptable use policy would fine users $2500 for spreading “misinformation.”
Shares of the online payments system operator were trading 5.74 percent lower at $84.99 as of noon on Monday. On Sunday, it was reported that PayPal changed the language of the restricted activity section on its AUP to include a clause threatening to impose a $2500 penalty “debited directly from your PayPal account” for an expanded list of prohibited activities.
The new conditions were supposed to launch effective November 3, the Daily Wire first reported. Changes included a ban on “the sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials”

Jeb Bush slammed Donald Trump for claiming his dead father had taken White House materials to a Chinese restaurant combined with a bowling alley in a confusing defense for removing classified documents when leaving office. During a rally in Nevada on Saturday, Trump called for investigations into deceased President George H. W. Bush, who served from 1989 to 1993, as well as former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush questioned on Twitter 'what the heck is up' with Trump, and said the comments about his father were confusing. 'George H.W. Bush took millions of documents to a former bowling alley and a

Top House Democrats recently embarked on a swanky Euro-trip to fundraise for the looming midterm elections back at home, it was reported over the weekend.
Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, the head of House Democrats' campaign arm known as the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), was photographed in Paris earlier this month along with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff.
A 'cocktail reception and dinner' to benefit the DCCC was held in Paris, France on October 1, according to invitations shared by the New York Times.
A similar invitation was sent out for a fundraiser in Geneva, Switzerland on October 3.

The Cleveland Indians are the most exciting team in baseball. They have 10 rookies on their 26-man roster. Six others were rookies last year. They play small ball and win. They are managed by Tito Francona Jr., a grandpa who led the Boston Red Sox in 2004 to their first World Series championship in 86 years.
Fans in Cleveland shun the Cleveland Indians this year.
That's because the team is not the Cleveland Indians. Management caved in to Woke Know Nothings and changed the name to Guardians this year. Attendance was 25th among the 30 major league teams.

The Democrat media, in conjunction with their allies in the polling industry, have driven the false narrative that the Democrats are likely to defy both history and their historically awful record and do fairly well in the midterms, particularly in Senate races.
To borrow a word from Mr. 10%, this has always been malarkey. We go through this same dance every cycle where the polls miraculously start to shift towards the Republicans in the last month, as polling outfits grudgingly start moving towards something resembling reality to avoid copious amounts of eggs on their face.
But, even at that, the polls during this cycle are likely the worst

In a move sure to raise a few eyebrows, Colorado has “accidentally” sent out 30,000 voter registration cards to non-citizens. That’s according to a report from Colorado Public Radio.
According to the outlet, the 30,000 cards were sent to non-citizens because of a mix-up with the formatting of the query involving DMV records. In Colorado, illegal immigrants are able to obtain a driver’s license, which was apparently the nexus of the issue.
The postcards were mailed to residents last week who had non-citizen Colorado driver’s licenses. The state sends postcards every two years to Coloradans it believes are eligible to vote but not yet registered.

The impact of hormone therapy on the heart health of transgender men and women has been the subject of several studies published within the last year. But medical experts and researchers aren’t ready to sound the alarm just yet even do there are more than enough cases where people are not looking good and have health issues.
One study found that transgender women who take hormones were more than twice as likely to have a stroke and deep vein clots compared to cisgender men and women

Jaguar Land Rover U.K. announced Monday it will be partnering with Plugsurfing to give Jaguar and Land Rover owners simplified access to over 300,000 charge points across 27 countries.
To streamline access to charge points customers purchasing Jaguars and Land Rovers will receive the Jaguar or Land Rover Charging app, which will allow them to pay at various charge points by simply tapping an RFID key.
Multiple options will be available for customers with the Pay-As-You-Go free package offering prices according to the current variable rate at each charger. For a fee of $4.71 per month, including value-added tax, the Gold Tariff will offer fixed rates for charging.
Comments:
Those $13 BILLION are coming out of American consumers' wallets, voluntarily using this stuff despite the laws and law enforcement cascading down to the local levels. And the public wants to stop this with what? More laws? More severe penalties? Just say no? The usual line-up of failure that costs taxpayers billions to no apparent effect. It would appear that supply will always be able to keep up with demand...which shows no signs of flagging. Blame Biden, but this market was substantial before he arrived, and has been for more than half a century already.
