The new face of Budweiser: A grown man
who looks remarkably like the girls Biden adores

We never had Budweiser beer in my house when I was growing up. (snip) With its Dylan Mulvaney ad campaign, its newest market seems to be Joe Biden: A man whose fantasy, as played out in public, is accessible little girls. Mulvaney, for those who don’t know, is that marginally talented 26-year-old Broadway performer who carved out a niche for himself by putting up daily videos showing his journey of “girlhood.” Every day, he’d do a “girl” thing, which was usually something that stereotypes women circa 1950

I know nothing of the world of beer and the companies that manufacture it. I don't think I'm off-base to assume that beer is mostly a male thing, so why was this weird choice made? It certainly didn't happen without top execs' knowledge. If there's any here among us who can explain it to me, I honestly would appreciate it.

Someone should suggest to Budweiser's advertising team that the Clydesdale stallions join the trans movement and be fitted with fashionable pink girdles hiding their boy parts. Make them female. Oh, you can't? Then hide their masculinity; things that dangle are not fashionable anymore. About forty years ago I drank Budweiser. (Bud Light tastes like mink urine.) Then I upgraded to Heineken, and still later super-upgraded to Dos Equis, which is my main brand now. It's the best beer. Budweiser just made a move even dumber than New Coke, if you remember that misplay, or Gillette's ads against toxic masculinity (which caused me to switch to Schick and Bic). Most Americans will be offended by the Dylan Mulvaney ad, and will not do business with corporations that merrily offend their values. This offense against good taste and morality is done so deliberately. Make 'em pay. Their beer ain't that good. Give me Dos Equis or Sam Adams.

Ok, I admit I actually watched this ad. The guy is in a bubble bath while wearing clothes to cover up his male chest. When he takes a sip of beer, he is holding the can using a male type grip. So he can put on lipstick and toss his head around in an exaggerated imitation of a female, but that hand movement is male. His hips have considerably less curve than even Giselle Bunchen, but fortunately you don't see them in the ad.

Budweiser is alienating 99% of their market to appeal to the 1% of which probably very few drink Bud. I get that they’re trying to be Woke but who are the morons who come up with these stupid business decisions? And why does Management agree to it? The vast majority in this country do not accept or sanction transgenderism and this ad will change zero minds.

I am amazed at the corporate decision making these days. They have always tried to follow trends, of course, but never tried to alienate over 90 percent of their customers. Twenty-five years ago, I worked a contract job for Coors in the Quality Control Department. Coors was a great company, and we were focused like a laser on making sure our products would arrive with a consistent taste so as not to offend a customer. The theory was, if you lost a customer, you didn't get him back. And we knew our customers: 25-55 year old men. I don't think the beer business has changed. Nice job, Bud Light.

Advertising is intended to reach potential/actual buyers of the product to promote consumption. In this case, Bud Light sees itself expanding by attracting women and homosexuals...not beer-swilling "men". Don't like the ad...don't buy the beer, or whatever product is promoted. Buying an "American" beer is nearly impossible these days. The brewing business is a web of ownerships and licenses. You think Coors is "American", yet owned by an American-Canadian company, MolsonCoors. As a native Milwaukean, raised largely on (long defunct) Gettleman $1000, I drink High Life to support my homies...and it's inexpensive.

Romney, who is no fan of Trump, said in reaction to the indictment of Trump:I believe President Trump’s character and conduct make him unfit for office. Even so, I believe the New York prosecutor has stretched to reach felony criminal charges in order to fit a political agenda. No one is above the law, not even former presidents, but everyone is entitled to equal treatment under the law.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg reportedly asked Judge Juan Marchan to hold the trial of former President Donald Trump in January 2024, which happens to be the middle of the presidential primary season. Fox News reporter Jake Gibson, who was in the courtroom, said that prosecutors had asked for the January 2024 trial date. The Iowa caucuses — the first contest in the Republican primary — will be on February 5, 2024.That means prosecutors want a trial that would undoubtedly affect the race for the Republican nomination, both by distracting the current frontrunner, and by tarnishing him relative to other candidates in the race.

This weekend, Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears (R-VA) and Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher. When Maher asked them about President Trump’s indictment, both skirted the topic. Sears said they hadn’t seen the charges and didn't comment any further. Sununu called the indictment a circus but immediately proceeded to attack Trump, claiming he didn’t think Trump will be the GOP nominee in 2024 and that Trump can’t win the general election. `Maher’s show was a great opportunity for Sears and Sununu to explain Democrat voters how Trump is being targeted, but alas it was squandered as they opted to sit on the fence.
