Jill Biden will lead the U.S. delegation to King Charles III’s coronation, representing America at the investiture of the new British monarch instead of President Joe Biden, who will not attend.
President Biden called King Charles on Tuesday to say the first lady would be going on his behalf, a source familiar told DailyMail.com.
She will attend the May 6th ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London, where coronations have taken place for nearly 1,000 years.

Hope she dresses appropriately. Leave the fish nets and stilettos behind, dear. Joe is too old for this job mentally. He is an old 80. How can he run in 2024 if he’s not up to two trips in a multi week span?

The first sofa wouldn't miss this. So she's ditched the old guy, leaving him to his handlers.

I'm sure C&C are relieved. They won't have to listen to Biden audibly break wind and smell his filled depends during the most important day of their lives.

Why her?
Either go...send the VP, or send the Sec State.
SHE has no official role, particularly in State Relations. If "Tradition"dictates a State presence at a foreign State event? Someone official needs to be there, even if it's just the Ambassador.
It's not an event where your wife can play "Red Carpet Tourist" and have the expectation of "Royal" acknowledgement. I hope the give her a single seat at the back of the room, near the SRO for servants.

Recall that Biden broke wind in a long, loud fashion while conversing with Queen Camilla last time he visited. They’re probably hoping to avoid a replay of that.

As we speak, the fake doctor is probably at the Goodwill Store picking out an outfit to wear. In her case, that would be an upgrade. I bet Brandon would be able to go if Zelensky was waiting with his 10%.

I'm grateful ol' Joe is staying home. Cuts way down on the national embarrassment.
At least we can be sure that Jill Biden will not play with her tongue during the coronation like Joe did at Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

Aren't weddings, funerals and coronations part of the VP's job description? Kamala is a joke but unlike Jill, Kamala actually ran for office. Jill's just a busybody spouse.

I'm sure Dr. Jill will make a stunning impression at the coronation. She is sure to wear one of her famous tablecloth, big flower print dresses, with those drop dead ankle length boots. Always so stunning. And maybe, just maybe she will have a hat to match. We old people remember Minnie Pearl. I'm thinking that hat should have the Minnie Pearl look with big fake flowers. Maybe Anna Wintour will put her on the cover of Vogue. (Sarcasm on.)

I have a difficult time imagining a phone call between "King" Charlie and "King" Biden.
Mumble mumble .... Mutter mutter ...
Oh, Jill then, lovely. What kind of Jello does her highness prefer that won't clash with her costume ?

Biden: Yeah, uh, is this that guy who's some kinda Monarch Butterfly?
King Charles: This is His Royal Highness.
Biden: Well, Chuck I can't make it to your Carnation Celebration, but I'm sending the First Lady to show off her collection of Lot Lizard Truck Stop Shower Curtain and Upholstery clothing line.
King Charles: Uh, I don't recall inviting you since the last time you broke wind causing my wife to blow biscuits. Besides, we already have people to work the spoons and ladles at the Royal Buffet.
Biden: Well, let me send Kamala to work the salad bar.
Exasperated King Charles: Oh bollocks! Fine, send the slut!
Biden: Which one?

King Charles, feelings hurt, is reaching out to Brandon Falls, Delaware, hoping Brandon will change his mind and make the trip. NOT!!! After Brandon's award winning performances in the presence of Camilla, Queen Consort (flatulence) and the Pope (shatulence), the Brits don't want a repeat performance. #10's comment about Joe's playing games with his tongue brought back memories. What an embarrassment to America he is.

Maybe this will be ok as long as Jillie doesn't wear another one of those shower curtains made to look sort of like a dress.

The Coronation of Britain's new Monarch is not a universal celebration. It is a High Mass for the people of Great Britain. Don't look for Oprah or Hollywood.

He is too old to sit still in a public place, like Westminister Abbey loaded with people for a couple of hours, without his bodily functions, both mental and physical, going haywire. This decision is more evidence that these days that “the big guy” is essentially a controllable political figurehead for the leftist Democrats. Who will use his lack of attendance at this upcoming historic British ceremony to appeal to some Irish-American voters who are still living in the dark ages, that’s a sure thing, as everything “the big guy” gets involved with is 101% partisan political.
