Trump’s indictment creates a new era

The indictment and pending arraignment of Donald Trump signal a new era for the Republican Party. The move by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, not coincidentally timed to push aside discussion of documentary proof of bribes funneled by China to Biden family members, has clarified the nature of the actual political system we live under today. (snip) The Swamp wing of the party, strongest among DC-based politicians, particularly the Senate, will be bypassed and rendered irrelevant if it does not follow the lead of predominantly state and local officials, who are well-positioned to utilize the tool that Democrats have now legitimized.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) the planner and executor of the 9/11 attack told his interrogators. We will use your laws to destroy you. What is going on in Manhattan is exactly the same. But far more insidious and dangerous.

The WSJ says, "Mr. Bragg, the provincial progressive, is unleashing forces that all of us may come to regret." No, no he's not. Bragg is merely a tool in a safe jurisdiction for the prosecution of FPDT, a former resident of NYC where his Trump Organization is headquartered at Trump Tower. The real forces are ones that many Americans deny exist, and just cannot fathom...because they are un-American and it just can't happen here. The UNIPARTY is merely he political arm. And while many common Americans complain, they maintain party loyalties and vote en bloc for those tying them with every executive order or bill passed. And they obey. Trump was supposed to be gone after '20. He's trying to come back, and the next few months leading to '24 are to bring his "suerte suprema", that moment of truth in a bullfight when the bull fatally meets the matador's sword. The real question is when will the American public recognize their sinking liberty situation and care enough to act. Frankly, they've got their bills to pay and little stomach for any real political fighting. And "conservatives" will merely continue to appear to "fight" while dragging their feet before accepting "progress". Meanwhile, the profiteers profit.

Republicans make a big deal about sticking to principals, tradition, honor and civility. Democrats on the other hand have one principal, to aquire, gain, maintain and exercise power. They view our principals as adorable weaknesses to exploit. Until the Republican party wakes up and learnes to use every political weapon at its disposal, it will find itself further and further marginalized until it's outlawed. We are not going to take back the country buy clutching our pearls declaring "well I never". This is exactly why Trump and DeSantis are so popular among the base. Both of these men "get it".

Found a complimentary article to Thomas Lifson's fine piece in The American Mind - American Banana Republic, March 31, 2023: FTA: ". . . As the threat concerns the fate of the Republic, not just the Republican nominee, Americans must not only grasp the stakes but act with commensurate courage and speed. Even if officials in Washington find it within them to rebuff and rein in the regime, the decisive field is at the state level, . . ."

I am not so sure about DeSantis #4. I think he gets it but I don't think he believes he will be subjected to the same abuse that Trump and his family has endured. And maybe he won't be subjected to the same abuse and that will tell me all I need to know about DeSantis. Sorry but his cheap shot at Trump about not knowing the details about paying hush money to a porn actress still sticks with me. He's an attorney so he knows darn well that every person who signs a NDA in a settlement (getting paid to shut them up) with their employer, private individual, company, etc is the same as hush money. Maybe DeSantis and his handlers thought that was a clever play on words but we do not need another attorney who is fast and loose with words.

WSJ says, Once a former President and current candidate is indicted, some local Republican prosecutor will look to make a name for himself by doing the same to a Democrat. U.S. democracy will be further abused and battered. I say, BULL! FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE. These Commies only understand POWER and CONTROL. They ABHOR weakness and when someone, a republican backs down or shows any sign of "go along to get along", these Marxists smell blood and go in for the kill. So we say, hey anyone, someone, a Republican Prosecutor, start suing these crooks in this administration. You will have the forever love of the MAGA crowd!

The reaction to the unprecedented indictment of President Trump was predictable. (snip) Pelosi wrote: “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence.” This is nothing short of a shocking statement, especially from a lawmaker with many decades of experience. The presumption of innocence is the standard in any civilized democracy (snip) It is unlikely that Pelosi isn’t aware of the legal standards in the U.S. Perhaps her feeling of schadenfreude got the better of her, or maybe this is a warning for others who support the MAGA agenda.

The indictment of President Trump is unprecedented; no President, former or current has ever been indicted before. There is no laughter, though, when trying to decipher the biological sex of the school shooter who killed three children and three adults in Nashville (snip) She was, quite simply, a completely evil woman, although I’m certain that her sense of victimhood due to her untreated mental illness exacerbated the sense of ill-usage that drove her to slaughter children.

The timing of the tragic Nashville shooting, in which a MUSS (Made-up Sexual Status, aka “transgender”) individual killed six at a Christian school, is a bit odd. National Public Radio had just recently done a piece on how MUSS and other “LGBTQ” people are buying guns because, the story goes, they believe they’re imperiled by conservatives. They don’t want you to have one, either. This is why, shamelessly, they often hide Hale’s MUSS status and instead focus on guns.
