Just minutes after misfired tear gas canisters drove police back into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the retreating officers left unsecured the sets of double doors in the Lower West Terrace tunnel, giving protesters easy access to the entrance and sparking several hours of brutal violence, videos reveal. Cell phone video entered into evidence in a recent Jan. 6 criminal case shows that protesters walked right through the sets of double doors (snip) For months, questions have been raised by defense attorneys and case observers whether the doors at the tunnel entrance were locked and secure. Prosecutors contended in court filings that the doors were locked

I refuse to give a hit (so valuable to advertisers) for any biased evil editorial that includes "...sparking several hours of brutal violence... in the opening sentence!!!!! The only violence on that day came from evil Capitol Police officers who attacked and killed 2 peaceful protestors!!!!!!!

FTA: The easy defeat of the tunnel doors led to more than two hours of the worst violence recorded at the Capitol on Jan. 6. It led to the death of Rosanne Boyland, 34, who was trampled by the crowd after police deployed gas in the tunnel, and was later beaten by an MPD officer armed with a walking stick. The tunnel was also where Jan. 6 defendant Victoria White was beaten by Bagshaw and other officers with expandable steel batons and fists. So much for a “biased, evil editorial”. Those who refuse to read very often look ridiculous. And the notion that there were no misbehaving protesters is the same kind of bias we abhor in the “lieberals”. The gist of this article is that a police error caused a break in their line. The remainder panicked and headed into the Capitol. The tunnel became a death trap for some. Had the doors been locked...

Former President Donald Trump will yet “save this nation from the barbaric left insanity” despite the current indictment “lie,” according to Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, who slammed the Biden administration as a “joke” and “disgrace,” as he urged Americans to vote for Trump in 2024 to make America “the greatest country.” In a roughly two-minute clip posted on Monday, the Hollywood legend began by describing “the worst nightmare” Americans have endured over the last several years, including the thousands of loved ones lost due to the pandemic as well as “the unrighteousness of gun violence due to unfit mentality.”

In the hypothetical showdown between the two, Trump leads 47 to 40 percent of likely voters, with 11 percent saying someone else and two percent not sure. Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records. Trump was indicted by a New York grand jury following a probe by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The 16-page indictment, released on April 4 after Trump was arraigned, says that Trump falsified records related to multiple payments made to keep concealed negative information about him. That includes the payment made to Stormy Daniels, an adult film actress who has claimed Trump had an affair with her, according to the charges.

My introduction to San Francisco came in the late 1970s, when I spent a lot of time there as a young lawyer. For a Midwestern guy, the San Francisco of that era was a revelation: great restaurants, famous hotels on Nob Hill, fog drifting in off the Bay. But today’s San Francisco is, sadly, something else. The San Francisco Chronicle has a long, long article about the city’s demise: “Downtown S.F. on the brink: It’s worse than it looks.” And it looks really bad. The numbers are grim: "Don’t be fooled. The downtown area, the city’s primary economic driver, is teetering on the edge, facing challenges greater than
