Trump Keeps His Eye on the Ball, Rants

The day that Donald Trump proclaimed he’d be arrested is upon us. Will he or won’t he be processed and taken into custody on a weak attempt to relitigate the Stormy Daniels payoff? All we can do is wait, and since there is no timeline for grand jury deliberations, that wait could drag on. In the meantime, Trump is keeping his eye on the ball in the face of possible jail time. No, he’s not focusing like a laser beam on Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg. He’s insinuating Ron DeSantis is gay. [Tweet] Those are just two of the posts Trump put on on Desantis on Monday. A totally misleading headline. Trump’s point was that the left would come after DeSantis just like they came after him, with fake reports of various scandals..

The headline must be an attempt at sarcasm because the article suggests President Trump is NOT keeping his eye on the ball and seems to assume he can't do more than one thing at a time. And I don't see that the quoted tweet is insinuating anything about DeSantis except that as he becomes better known he can expect "FALSE ACCUSATIONS AND FAKE STORIES " of the lowest possible kind just like Trump has been subjected to, and that the Democrats will stop at nothing.

Riddle me this. Is Trump more concerned with being indicted or with Ron DeSantis running for president? He's become McCain/Romney, both of whom spent more time attacking fellow Republicans than they spent attacking the true enemy. If Trump wasn't running for president, they would have him on TV every day, because the media loves nothing more that republican on republican cat fights. I have a suggestion for you Mr President. You need to EXPAND your base to win in 2024 general election, not shrink it. You need all of the allies that you can get. So please, for the sake of the Republic, shut up. Save your fire for the enemy, not your allies.

People sure do spend a lot of time noticing, questioning, second-guessing and attacking President Trump. They write times and times about him, as if they were privy to his inner circle. It’s pathological. Why so much ink? If he’s such poison, he’ll self-destruct. Perhaps, it’s because they see themselves in him?

Trump crowds cheer when he bashes Rinos, but he makes no efforts to court their voters. He's content now to run against Republicans and gives no reason to expand his base. DeSantis, unannounced, focuses on Biden, takes on the press, and it's well positioned for when he enters the race.

That headline is a bald faced lie & is very revealing of those who shamefully twist the meaning of Trump’s very clear & understandable comment. If anyone understands being attacked with FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES, it is DJT. He is giving good advice. He has suffered them from both blatant & secretive enemies & from fair-weather friends. “Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he's unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are "underage" (or possibly a man!). I'm sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!” - PDT This registered Independent, Christian white woman is made a stronger Trump supporter with every false attack against him. Sadly, I have lost respect for DeSantis & have lost respect for some of his apparent supporters, because of their lowering themselves to this kind of behavior. “It isn’t a good look” as some DeSantis supporters are wont to say. I had really thought much better of them. The claim that Trump’s comments about DeSantis are immature & unprovoked, while DeSantis is of much better character and above such behavior, is proving to be false as well. Trump apparently knew what was going on behind the public image that has lately shown more clearly what many had already suspected for a while. The difference is that Trump is more honest with his criticisms. He comes right out and says what he thinks. He doesn’t try to present himself as anything other than himself. His openness is also revealed in the fact that years of unprecedented & relentless investigations only bolster his image. His enemies have had to resort to lies and deceptions in order to smear him & to present themselves as superior to him. It is disappointing and disheartening to see that type of underhanded deceit in DeSantis & his supporters. Just because Democrats appear to win with lies doesn’t mean that truth isn’t best in the long run. I had thought 2028 would be a good year for DeSantis. But it appears that he has decided to align himself with the get rid of Trump crowd. I genuinely hate to see that.

If this were true, one would think Trump would be easy to beat in the primaries. Just put up an honest competent Republican against him. Oh, never mind, who are we kidding? This is the Republican party we are talking about. All they do is wait for the mythical backlash to sweep them all into power. None of them do what is actually necessary to win. And that is why the Democrats are in charge.

FTA: "...if Trump is going to instead abuse that goodwill to try to nuke other Republicans, that tells me he’s not actually worried about an indictment. And if he’s not worried, you should start asking why he’s not worried and whether you should continue to rend your garments over something he himself refuses to take seriously." Has he been charged with anything yet, let alone arrested? I missed it if he has been. Master Ceebrity PR Geniushas done it again. All he had to do was announce a leaker's word made him "expect" to be arrested today. And the whole world of media and politics goes nuts, while MAGA Nation looks for conspiracies and RINOS to attack. A famous showman is quoted as telling a writer who warned that her book would contain some disagreeable contents, “Say anything you like about me, but spell my name right — P. T. B-a-r-n-u-m, P. T. Barnum — and I’ll be pleased anyway.” In this matter, it's Donald John Trump, and he should be thrilled with the response his apparent gag has wrought. He couldn't buy such publicity regardless of price. Who's the loser in this several-days-long saga? List them all, and one name will be conspicuous by its absence, the guy "expecting" to be arrested today. What? He was merely passing along what he was told, right?

Trump lost the suburban women vote. Harping on the disgraceful injustice of Bragg’s attempt to bring him down resurrects the charge that Trump cheated on Melania. Did he? I don’t know and don’t really care but I am not a woman, suburban or otherwise. Better to let it play out, since Bragg will probably fail. Going after DeSantis at this time is self-destructive insanity. It causes me to wonder whether he is fit to be president. The No One But Trump crowd is a tiny fraction of the electorate. Trump will not ever win if he refuses to expand his base. He has the No One But Trump voters and they are not enough.

Roughly two years ago, President Biden issued an executive order that went relatively unnoticed and has been mostly forgotten by now, but which endangers the integrity of our elections. Executive Order 14019 instructs federal agencies, some of which are unrelated to election administration, to collaborate with external private groups to “promote voter registration and voter participation.” As innocuous as this sounds on its face, the White House is emulating billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s efforts to influence the 2020 election and turning it into a publicly-funded operation. That’s right: who needs Zuckerbucks when taxpayers like you can fund Democrat voter outreach? And before you say that’s unconstitutional, since when has that mattered
