Republican lawmakers said Friday news that the U.S. military shot down a flying object over Alaska is further evidence President Biden waited too long to order the downing of a Chinese spy balloon that flew across the U.S. mainland last week. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby announced Friday the Department of Defense shot down a "high altitude object" flying in territorial waters over Alaska.
"I can confirm that the Department of Defense was tracking a high altitude object over Alaska airspace in the last 24 hours out," Kirby said.

Or, as Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez tried to rebrand it: “Hunter Biden’s half-fake laptop.” It’s a sign of desperation that more than two years after The Post published the first bombshell story from the laptop, Dems can’t get their stories straight on what the laptop really is.

While many in conservative media raised concerns about Fetterman’s health and whether he was truly fit to serve in the U.S. Senate, the aide’s admission directly contradicts the note written by Fetterman’s doctor, a Democrat donor, who insisted that Fetterman was fit to serve.

A "high-altitude object" has been shot down over Alaska in the past hour, the White House has said.
Spokesman John Kirby said the object was "the size of a small car" and was over a sparsely populated area at the time.

Sen. John Fetterman was hospitalized Wednesday night after feeling lightheaded at the end of a Senate Democratic retreat, his office said.

The Biden administration has determined that the suspected Chinese surveillance balloon that traversed the United States last week was operating with electronic surveillance technology capable of monitoring US communications, according to a senior State Department official.
The balloon "was capable of conducting signals intelligence collection operations" and was part of a fleet that had flown over "more than 40 countries across five continents."
"We know the PRC used these balloons for surveillance," the official said. "High resolution imagery from U-2 flybys revealed that the high-altitude balloon was capable of conducting signals intelligence collection operations."
