The Trump Corporation and the Trump Payroll Corp., two corporate entities under the Trump Organization umbrella, were found guilty on all 17 charges in a tax evasion trial in New York. The company faces a $1.6 million fine.(Snip)The prosecution relied on Allen Weisselberg, the organization’s former CFO. He “pleaded guilty to charges that he manipulated the company’s books and his own compensation package to illegally reduce his taxes.” Weisselberg never once implicated former President Donald Trump or the Trump family: “It was my own personal greed that led to this.”

Nazis can convict anyone for anything. Nice of them not to investigate Dims for playing nice.

Democrats set the precedence. Now start auditing every knit-picking politician, both Democrats, and Republicans! Go all out in cleaning the house and expose all of them!

Looks like there no “there” there and this is but another headline grabber to dirty up our President. My loathing of the media knows no bounds. Every day, they outdo themselves from the day prior.

This is disappointing. If a person is going to have the slogan "Make America Great Again," he should know what is going on in his own business. I may get blasted for making this statement but as a taxpayer, I am fed up with what is going on in government.
We don't even know if the elections are honest because nobody wants to do anything about it. The integrity of the people running the White House and the country is up in the air and all we can do is watch. I am sick of it all. America is a wonderful and beautiful country but it is being corrupted. We used to have a work ethic where you worked hard but now "doing as little as possible" seems to be the latest thing. We have people looking at truth and honesty as if they are bad words. Democrats or Republicans.
I am sick of it ALL including finding out about Donald Trump's organization. . .

More exact headline should be Al Weisselberg used fraud scheme to avoid income taxes due from Trump organization. Thos was about taxes fraudulently not paid on perks and benefits by an executive. The same perks and benefits that politicians give themselves all the time because they're "special". Business executives are not. Especially one's from the Trump organization.

It is pretty clear that the Biden's use of Sub-S corporations to report income from their activities is a tax dodge to avoid paying Social Security and Medicare taxes. They could be prosecuted under the tax law for fraud. Then there is Hunter. And James Biden.

Believe it if you want; I don't.
The government has been so corrupted by the Dems that they can jail you for 2 years without a trial, claiming that, though unarmed and over 60 years in age and in fragile health. you were trying to topple the government on Jan 6.
So, when is the trial of Hunter and Sniffer Biden for treason and corruption? Actually, where are the charges? What federal investigations?
THIS COUNTRY HAS DEVOLVED INTO S FARCE.

Looks like some are giving themselves permission to dis President Trump for tax evasion when, in fact, companies and other organizations do this kind of thing regularly. Go after any big corporation and you will find anomalies like this. Can you imagine wading through Clinton’s or Biden’s tax returns? Two wrongs don’t make a right, I know that, but I question anything this DOJ finds because of their corruption and the obsession to find anything they can to damage President Trump. They wanted a talking point and finally got it. See how this works? They can forever preface any mention of his name with guilty of tax evasion. Furthermore, they will completely ignore Biden’s egregious pay for play that netted him millions if not billions while he was serving the in the United States Senate and as VP no less.
I will not swallow a camel and choke on a gnat to absolve the corrupt and lawless democrats. Who ever holds them accountable for anything? If you had the entire government picking through your tax returns (which they have already done through audits) with a fine tooth comb, how would you fare? More importantly, democrats skate. We all know it. They have been gunning for Trump since 2015. Point me in the direction of any successful businessman who could have stood up to that insane scrutiny.
Until Biden, Clinton, Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, et. al., are treated in the same manner, I am not interested. None of them could stand up under the pressure that President Trump has endured. It is a disgrace what they have done to this man. To even think about turning my back on him is unacceptable. After 2020, he could have walked away and spent his time enjoying the life he built for himself. Instead, he decided to stay in the fight for this country and for that reason, as long as he is willing to stand for us and this country, I am supporting him. He is the most honest politician I have ever known and he has the right motivation for choosing to run.
Take this guilty verdict and shove it up the backside of anyone of the corrupt party leaders of either party. I don’t give a flying fig. I am fuming over the cowards who cut and run over this. Grow up and hang your sanctimonious robes in the closet.

My bet is that this company did exactly what their highly experienced tax attorneys told them was legal, and what was done by dozens and dozens of other companies.
And yet, ONLY Trump gets singled out for abuse by an insane political hater in a persecutor's office.

The most damaging testimony was when the crook CFO refered to Donald Trump as The Big Guy and gave him 10%.

TRUMP GUILTY!
That's all the politicians and media need in the public mind...and now comes the drumbeat a little louder. You know Trump is behind this...we have his tax papers...and the game is off and running. I fully expect New York state to indict him (maybe it already has) for criminal tax fraud by failing to account for something. It's how they got Capone. Then comes another circus as FPDT either turns himself in, or evades arrest. It keeps the Biden Administration clean. The 12 compromise NYC idiots on the jury, if it comes to trial, won't have a clue...but he must have done something. It's coming.

This action appears to have been brought, not by the federal DOJ, but by the Manhattan District Attorney's office, at the behest of the office of the New York State Attorney General, Letitia James. She's just trying to make a name for herself, so she can run for Governor. Like Washington D.C., New York City can produce a far-left, Republican-hating jury in a heartbeat.

I'm sure the government will come up with many more charges to convict President Trump with,...they are desperate to stop his candidacy for president...anyway they can cheat to achieve that goal...so big deal...they have been hunting for 7 years to accuse President Trump something....whether it's Russia...russia...russia or Ukraine...ukraine...ukraine...or taxes...or nuclear papers at Mar-A-Largo...it's always the same...it's the "Get Trump Party"...they are so desperate....

You can almost visualize them salivating because they put Trump's name in the headline. $1.6 million is a cup of birdseed to The Donald. Try harder Letitia.

Consider this a blast, #7. Trump's enterprise is no mom and pop store and nobody in a corporation knows what every accountant is doing. A CFO is legally responsible for every penny under his control.

In response to #22, I get that - I have a background in accounting. If you think I am some kind of "shadow" Biden supporter, I am not. So a person is going to relinquish everything over without checking in at some point in time? Sign on the dotted line no matter what? Risky - no wonder why we are having the problems we are. . .
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has become all about serving themselves. So given the response from #22, people really don't know what a leader is. . .

They're NOT going to do that #3 and you KNOW it. Take bets on it.
President Trump will now FOREVER be labeled / announced as
'CONVICTED TAX EVADER Donald Trump'. I despise what our so called
free press ( the 'media' ) and the people in it, has become.
Agree 100% #13. Wish I'd have said it first.
And for those here who indirectly and laughingly say 'he should have KNOWN' I say 'bull !
No SINGLE PERSON could possibly know AND REMEMBER EVERY transaction taken by
EVERY employee EVERY WHERE AND EVERY DAY in an organization the size of Trumps !

#7 Get a grip! It's New York! And the epicenter of Trump hatred! If you're going to get your panties in a wad over this, wait until we get closer to the 2024 election! It's going to be a bumpy ride and we're going to need strong, courageous, and righteous Americans to withstand the political storm!

Sorry Lucianne for my repeated responses. #25, I do have a grip. It comes from an accounting background and is called checks and balances. That applies to everything. Guess what? From the article it says: "The company faces a $1.6 million fine." I am sad for the Trump family business but maybe they can absorb it. Some companies/corporations can't and they fold. Employees are let go etc., etc.
Yes, I wish others would be scrutinized like Donald Trump is but they aren't and I guess we have to live with it? I hope all of the people who are blasting me know that I will vote for Donald Trump if he is our nominee but so many things can happen in these next couple of years that I will have to wait until that time. I get that he is a fighter, warrior or whatever. My only comment is that he will have to scrutinize everything he does because if he doesn't, they will.

For the record, former Trump Organization CFO, Allen Weisselberg, testified in this tax fraud trial against the Trump family business when “asked if (President) Trump or anyone else in the company gave him permission to ‘commit tax fraud’ he testified that “he did not conspire with anyone in the Trump family, and was taking off-the-books perks for himself” according to a report by NBC’s Tom Winter (November 17, 2022).
