TIME magazine has been honoring individuals and ideas that have changed the world for nearly a century and this week, the publication released its shortlist of candidates for the 2022 ‘Person of the Year” with none other than disgraced soon to be former Congresswoman Liz Cheney among the finalists.
Cheney joins world leaders Xi Jinping of China and Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy as well as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, billionaire Twitter owner Elon Musk, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Jeff Bezos ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, gun control activists, Iranian protesters and the U.S. Supreme Court as potential winners of the prestigious recognition.

I remember back in the day I'd get Newsweek and Time each week. This was in the '70's. Eventually I understood their slant to the news and canceled my subscription and never looked at them again. Don't care who they put on the cover for person of the year.

Person of the year was never intended to be selected from only squeaky clean heroes. but a major newsmaker(s_, for better or worse…

What an honor!
It's like being the tallest building in Topeka, Kansas. (Which is the state capital building, btw.)

It's been a silly leftist rag for a loooong time. Their person of the year jumped the shark forever ago. Sorry but this isn't news or interesting.

Apparently Time Magazine's circulation is 3.2M. I don't believe it for a moment. 10% of the U.S. population? Dream on.

I am pulling for Liz Cheney such that Time Magazine can further be seen as an irrelevant laughingstock.

Person(s) of the Year should be the illegals that have flooded the country. The effect they’ll have on our country will be felt for decades.

TIME, that so-last-century yellow rag has one of those OFF/ON switches on their life support machine. Once a year, they drag a five-dollar bill through a trailer park to see if anyone takes the bait. Not takers? Hit the OFF button. Someone is heard to breathe? Hit the ON button. Unless they go the way of Balenciaga's kiddie porn, TIME will sleep the other eleven months after their POTY article flashes in the pan. Zzzzz.

I vote for Liz Cheney, and would gladly buy a copy of this irrelevant rag just so I could line my parrot cage with her fugly face.
Bombs away!

A circulation of 3.2m would be 1% of the population, not 10%. I doubt they have even 1%.
But moving on: I would nominate Putin as POTY. The award is supposed to note influence for good or bad. And Putin's unnecessary invasion of Ukraine has certainly had a massive effect. It greatly weakened Russia's standing in the world, faked Europe into a idiotic energy shortage, cut grain supplies, created a new refugee problem, and inflated costs nearly everywhere.

"prestigious". What a crock. Remember when they put foil on the cover (mirror) and we were all declared Person of the Year? All the previously prestigious awards are nothing but a joke anymore thanks to the left.

How long does Liz Cheney get to play committee member? She did not even win her primary. Daddy Dick Cheney should have used her for target practice when he had the chance.

If I subscribed to Time, which I don't, but if I did, I would cancel the subscription just because of Liz Cheney alone.

Virtually ALL of these "prestigious awards" have now been exposed as essentially "attaboy leftist" awards. Nobel, Pulitzer, Time POTY, etc. Complete, total frauds. Mind control by phony award.

If it wasn't for trips to the doctor, dentist and mechanic I wouldn't even know Time ragazine still existed. Their person of the years means about as much to me as fellow ragazine People's sexist man alive.
