They got the band back together—to the extent the original members ever broke up in the first place. Recent disclosures by independent journalist Matt Taibbi confirmed what other reporters have been covering for the better part of two years: According to files obtained by Elon Musk, the new owner and CEO of Twitter, the social media platform protected Joe Biden and his family from a major and potentially election-altering scandal as millions of Americans were voting early for president in October 2020. Years of denials and dismissals related to Hunter Biden’s lucrative shakedown of hostile nations, including Russia and China, were set to explode just a few weeks before Election Day.

Trump is right again we need a do-over. But that cannot happen, we have to work with what we have and what we have is a corrupt individual sitting in the White House giving Obama his third term. Never in the history of this country have we faced an opposition that voted for a demented old man and in Pa. voted for a man who suffered a stroke and will never recover any better than he has now. Arizona that cheated for Biden and cheated again in their Governor's race. All because of hatred for Donald Trump who has a big loud mouth, but loves America and delivers the goods. The question now is can we survive the invasion at the border, the fuel shortage, the inflation, the foreign war, the reckless spending, the divisiveness, the crime, that the democrats voted for.

FTA: Baker’s fingerprints are etched indelibly on any number of Russiagate-associated scams, from seeking the first illicit FISA warrant on the Trump campaign to promoting the falsehood of suspicious links between Trump and a Russian bank. (Jonathan Turley calls Baker the “Kevin Bacon of the Russian collusion scandals.”) And this is where Taibbi’s tweetstorm took an odd and easily disproved turn. Taibbi says he saw “no evidence of any government involvement in the laptop story.” Now, giving Taibbi the benefit of the doubt—perhaps former Twitter executives wisely purged records between the company and government officials before being escorted out of headquarters—maybe he didn’t see any specific correspondence confirming the participation of federal agencies in the scandal. But the evidence is in full view and has been since the summer of 2020. Taibbi may not be fearless. There may be limits to where he’ll go. His take on Baker is naive or disingenuous.

Government at all levels and all branches - even the judiciary - is depressingly corrupt and inept. One can only conclude the lust for power and money is now so pervasive in politics that we are doomed to this type of government for as long as the United States is able to survive as a nation (which appears to be on a downward slope).

Thom Tillis Is Why That Red Wave Didn’t Materialize 1 reply

Yes, the headline isn’t really fair to Thom Tillis, the North Carolina Republican senator who wasn’t on the ballot in last month’s midterms. You’ll forgive the unfairness, perhaps. But life isn’t fair. And honestly, Tillis’ lame-duck-session amnesty gambit is deserving of much worse than the headline above. Here’s Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media: One of the more frustrating aspects of being a conservative Republican is the constant need to look over one’s shoulder for stealth attacks by moderate squish members of the GOP on important issues like health care, gun control, and amnesty for illegal immigrants. Such ideological shivs in the back always arrive under the execrable guise of bipartisanship.

Back in 2010, RNC Chair Michael Steele was heavily criticized and eventually lost his position because donors were angry about what they believed was luxurious spending on private jets, floral arrangements, chauffeur services, and member meetings in expensive tropical locales. Donors were used to frugality from the RNC under the George W. Bush administration, when “Karl Rove would b***h if there were flowers on the tables” and staff holiday parties were catered by Chick-fil-A. Despite Joe Biden’s economy and three straight cycles of election losses, the RNC’s big-spending days are back with a vengeance.
