The Insanity of 'Zero Covid'

Original Article

Many have wondered about the utter insanity of China's "zero covid" policy and why its being maintained after a couple of years experience in which it fails repeatedly, and the virus keeps popping up. "Zero covid" was always medically and physically bankrupt. Even masks are bankrupt as we knew all the way back to 1981 with Neil Orr's seminal study on the matter in operating rooms where everyone was a trained professional. That's the best possible test environment with no confounders, since everyone is trained and all the things in the room are sterilized (snip) : The operating rooms where masks were not in use had decreased infection rates

Covid did originated in a wet market, the shot is a vaccine, masks work, lockdowns are useful, follow the science (the science is what we say it is), close schools, be afraid, be very afraid. s/o Throw the Twitter red phone connection to the Biden WH into the mix and I begin to wonder about our government. Once again, so tired of stupid. Control, money. It's not that hard.

Since the virus is airborne the only thing they haven't tried is eye goggles. Face shields don't do anything except make you look like a moron. I was in a Home Depot once and there was a woman riding an electric shopping cart with rubber gloves, two face masks, and a face shield and freaking out if someone would get anywhere closer than 6 feet away from her. I mean she was a real psyco-karen for sure.

The comment about reversing flow in a filter are spot on. And amazingly obvious, yet never before have I heard even one source mention this. So....let's suppose your wonderful filter mask DID stop and trap some tiny particles on the surface which contained a virus as you inhaled. Then as you EXHALED, those same tiny particles would be launched out into the air to spread the virus. So, even if YOU were not sick and didn't get sick, your MASK could be spreading the virus if it picked up some virus infected particles from the air. AND large amounts of air bypasses all masks, inflow and outflow. Beyond stupid. I have always avoided masks, frequently just ignoring "requirements" in most places. Only in one particular doctor's office was I repeatedly hasseled by the senior nurse about not wearing a mask, and essentially forced to wear one. But I ignored the 'requirement' the next time I visited that office, too. I can be just as hard headed as they are.

In order to present an accurate record of events, it is important to remain focused on specifics. During the period from May, 2017, through April of 2019, Main Justice in Washington DC was split into two divisions. In one division there was the Special Counsel Robert Mueller team in control of everything related to DOJ and FBI activity around the 2016 election, with emphasis on the Trump-Russia headlines. This division handled 100% of everything that was sucking up the oxygen in Washington DC. The acquisition by investment managers BlackRock and Vanguard of ever-increasing shares in America’s public utility companies is setting off alarm bells from conservatives and progressives alike. In April, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved a request from BlackRock to increase its ownership up to 20 percent of a public utility’s voting shares without being deemed an “affiliate” and incurring the regulatory scrutiny and disclosures that come with that. To gain FERC approval, BlackRock and Vanguard promised they would be “passive” investors and not use their share ownership to influence management.

Most Americans know something has gone terribly wrong—and very abruptly—with the United States. They are certain that our wounds are almost all self-inflicted. One thing I dislike immensely about republican punditry, specifically as it relates to internal dynamics, is their tribal narrative engineering. The example from Breitbart about President Trump’s discussion of the next speaker of the House is a case study. Take out Matthey Boyle’s woven narrative; and remind yourself that Boyle is writing from a position of DeSantis advocacy; read just the direct quotes from President Trump about the risk of House Speaker if the party doesn’t align to support Kevin McCarthy, and the position is pragmatic. Essentially, if not Kevin McCarthy, and the House vote is dependent on Democrat support, the result will likely be worse.

If you are a conservative voter in America today at some point you have to realize you have no representation in the US Senate. The question in the title needs, I believe, critical examination. Why DOES the Left hate Trump so much? The answer, as usual, can largely be found by analyzing history. But first. Do they hate him because the average price of a gallon of gas in his administration was far lower than under Biden? Is it because inflation was low (around 2%) and trending downward? Is it that the USA was energy independent and didn’t need to beg our enemies for oil, deplete our strategic oil reserve or sell it to China? Is it because black and Hispanic unemployment was lower than at any time in history?

Add yet another government overreach to the “Things You Didn’t Think Could Happen in America” file: Democrats on the lame-duck House and Ways and Means Committee voted Tuesday to release six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. Why? Because they um, uh—because they want to? But wait, you say to yourself, that’s not possible; your tax returns are private by federal law, and therefore protected from release. The Dems of course found a sleazy way around that. The tax code allows the committee to look at people’s tax returns to provide “oversight” of the Internal Revenue Service, and by writing an official report on their findings,
