President Biden all but declared himself as the greatest president in America’s history on Wednesday. "I tell you what," the president said. "No one’s ever done as much as president as this administration’s doing. Period." Biden spoke during the White House Tribal Nations Summit, which was to feature new announcements and efforts to put new policies in place that support Tribal communities. The summit, which takes place at the Department of the Interior, gives tribal leaders the opportunity to engage with top U.S. officials on ways to strengthen nation-to-nation relationships and ensure indigenous communities endure for years to come. A compromise defense policy bill released Tuesday night would end the Pentagon’s policy requiring troops to receive the Covid vaccine — and kicking out those troops who refuse it — delivering a win to Republicans who railed against the policy. A final version of the National Defense Authorization Act included the measure after conservatives threatened to hold up the bill to curtail the vaccine mandate. The policy became a point of contention in talks in recent days between Democratic and Republican leaders over the bill. The measure defies the wishes of both the Pentagon and the White House,

Or at least he’s back to provide a supplement to round one while round two is still being worked on. Elon Musk was not notified of Baker playing middle-man. As RedState reported, Baker was fired on Tuesday, and with Taibbi’s latest thread, we now know why. If McCarthy was handed the keys to the Magic Kingdom in the next 23 months, the exec would occupy a historic position as the first female CEO in Disney’s soon to be more than 100 year existence.

Chief Twit Elon Musk has fired Twitter's general counsel James A. Baker, citing his alleged involvement in the company's suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. 'In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today,' Musk wrote in a tweet on Tuesday. Musk added that Baker's explanation of the events surrounding the laptop saga were 'unconvincing.' Also on Tuesday, Rep. A strong majority of Americans continue to support sending arms and economic aid to Ukraine, according to a poll released Monday. But as the conflict drags into winter, Americans are divided over whether Washington should push Ukraine to reach a negotiated peace as soon as possible. More than two-thirds of respondents back supplying Ukraine with weapons and economic assistance, and about three-quarters support accepting Ukrainian refugees and sanctioning Russia, according to the survey conducted by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs last month. While support among the American public for assistance to Ukraine remains robust, Republican backing for aid to Ukraine has slipped since the spring

A previously proposed New York measure called for creating a commission to study the impact of slavery and providing reparations but failed to pass the legislature. It’s a tricky business to glean predictive data from early voting in any election. This is particularly true of the Georgia Senate runoff between incumbent Democrat Raphael Warnock and Republican challenger Herschel Walker. Nonetheless, the 1.8 million ballots that were cast through last Friday, when early voting ended, provide some useful information. One datum in particular should encourage the Walker campaign — the number of older voters who cast early ballots swamped their younger counterparts.

It is one sign among many that DeSantis, or those close to him, are thinking about taking on Donald Trump in the primary. A word of warning and wisdom to DeSantis: Don’t do it. DeSantis is a promising politician with a real future on the national scene. He should want to be president. But not yet. DeSantis needs to understand his true self-interest. Hawaii's Mauna Loa volcano is likely going to reach a major highway in the state unimpeded, as it moves within 2.5 miles of traffic on Sunday.  Many people on the Big Island in Hawaii are bracing for major upheaval if lava from Mauna Loa slides across a key road and blocks the quickest route connecting two sides of the island. The molten rock could make the road impassable and force drivers to find alternate coastal routes in the north and south. That could add hours to commute times, doctor's visits, and lorry deliveries.
