San Francisco Supervisors Vote to Allow
Police to Deploy Killer Robots

Original Article

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved a policy on Tuesday officially allowing police to arm human-controlled robots with explosives to kill or incapacitate people in extreme circumstances. The two-hour policy debate was heated among the left-wing board members, according to news reports. Supporters argued that police can be trusted to use the robots, which could help stop a mass casualty event. Opponents said approving the use of killer robots was like something out of a science fiction movie, and a threat to the poor and to people of color.

Wait until some cop accidently hits the wrong button. Remember the policewoman who mistook her gun for her taser and killed someone? Or the cop who shot a woman in her PJs? People who have to make split-second decisions sometimes make the wrong ones. You know it is just a matter of time.

According to Communications Daily, Stacey Abrams is lobbying to be the next nominee to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Gigi Sohn, the current nominee, has little to no chance of being confirmed in the Senate. Abrams is waiting in the wings for her shot as a D.C. power player. The two time loser in her attempts to become the next governor of Georgia is looking at a seat on the FCC for a job. Can she convince the powers that be that she is the right person?

A federal appeals court on Thursday overturned a judge's decision to appoint a special watchdog to review documents seized by the FBI from the Florida residence of former President Donald Trump in August as part of a criminal investigation. The Department of Justice had objected to the appointment of that watchdog, known as a special master, by a federal judge in Florida who was nominated to the bench by Trump. The DOJ said the special master appointment delayed DOJ from using the seized documents as part of that probe until they were cleared.

Washington - The Supreme Court on Thursday delayed a decision on whether to grant President Joe Biden's bid to implement his student loan forgiveness plan, announcing instead that it will hear full oral arguments on an expedited basis. In a brief order, the court said it would hear arguments in February with a decision soon to follow. In the meantime, the plan remains blocked. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar filed an emergency application Nov. 18 on behalf of the Biden administration asking the justices to lift an injunction imposed by the St. Louis-based 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. In a separate case, a federal judge in Texas has also blocked

Biden spoke during the White House Tribal Nations Summit, which was to feature new announcements and efforts to put new policies in place that support Tribal communities. The summit, which takes place at the Department of the Interior, gives tribal leaders the opportunity to engage with top U.S. officials on ways to strengthen nation-to-nation relationships and ensure indigenous communities endure for years to come. Midterm election turnout among black voters appears to be 25 percent lower than white turnout, marking the lowest share of the black electorate since 2006, a New York Times analysis revealed Wednesday. The low turnout of black voters is a strong indicator Democrats could be losing a key portion of their intersection coalition long heralded by members of the left, such as election denier House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who has claimed the strategy a “gorgeous mosaic” and “not a cult.” Conclusive numbers have not yet been completely compiled from all 50 states, but an early snapshot of voter data suggests black voter turnout was well below the national average

Ever since the 2020 presidential election, we’ve been told that election deniers are threats to democracy. The only cure for that is to not vote for an election denier to ever hold elected office, they said. Yet, on Wednesday House Democrats voted for the next House Minority Leader and they did just that – they elected an election denier, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries. Hmm. You don’t think there is a double standard, do you? Perish the thought. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is retiring (good riddance) and the House is under new majority control in January. Democrats will be the minority party and Jeffries is their leader.

Don’t be fooled. In the promotional interviews for her new book, The Light We Carry, Michelle Obama insists that the book is simply her personal “toolkit” about how she deals with the challenges of “uncertain times.” No, The Light We Carry is not a self-help book. It is Michelle’s crafty attempt to position herself to be the Democrat nominee for president in 2024. In fact, it is Michelle’s second autobiography, a follow up to her wildly successful 2018 memoir, Becoming. As it would have been awkward for Michelle to write a second self-promotional autobiography entitled “Becoming Part II,” the new book is released under the ruse of a self-help guide.

Too many people feel left out of Christmas celebrations due to their own faith – or lack of it – so the traditional Christian season should be downplayed, a UK-based diversity lobby group said. The call comes after statistics showed less than half of the population of England and Wales described themselves as Christian in the 2021 census, meaning Christianity is now a minority religion, as Breitbart News reported. Both atheism and Islam are making major gains as more people reportedly feel left out as a “heavy emphasis on celebrating the birth of Jesus,” can exclude others, according to Watch This Sp_ce, a self-described diversity and inclusion consultancy.

Jeffries, a 52-year-old New Yorker, will be the first African American to serve as House Democratic leader. "Leadership is incredibly important," said Jeffries.
