New Disney CEO Folds to Ron DeSantis Like

Big changes are coming to Disney, and though I would have never suspected it given past history, it looks like Bob Iger is looking to turn away from overt political activism. Iger returned to the role of CEO in the last few weeks, having started Disney’s woke revolution many years ago. Yet, the company’s disastrous battle with Florida’s Ron DeSantis has him ready to change course. According to Iger, he regrets the clash with the rock-star Republican governor and will look to move Disney toward a more neutral position in the culture wars. Better late than never, I suppose, and to be sure, there’s still a bit

Disney is hemorrhaging money!!!! They are a bunch of groomer perverts with the greatest access to children in the history of pervert grooming, and they are scared to death that they are losing that access to our kids and grandkids!!! And because of that combination, they are desperate. All the lie-beral pervert groomers don't want to give up that access to kids, but if they go belly-up, they will lose it anyway. So they will say all the right things about now, but seeing is believing. I don't trust them as far as I can throw them, and really hope they fail and disappear from the face of the earth!!!!!

I take a more business oriented view of this. Disney was dying under wokie leadership. The BoD said enough is enough and brought back previous guy to change course. Returning guy immediately starts company on new path away from wokie garbage. Wasn't that exactly what we wanted? Wouldn't it be nice he flushes these freaks out and sets an example for other companies to do the same?

People forget that Iger goaded Chapek into the fight with Florida. Iger is one of the biggest "woke" ducks in the puddle. If he's backtracking now, it is only because of the blowback Disney has gotten. Two of their recent movies (incidently with prominent gay characters) have been deemed flops, and the theme parks, while still profitable are seeing declines in their profit margins. https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/31/media/bob-iger-dont-say-gay/index.html

It doesn’t mean a thing if he still has Kathleen Kennedy there in charge of Lucasfilm. She has been the one who has single-handedly destroyed all the franchises that Disney has gobbled up since Eiger took control. This is just political posturing to save face and cannot be taken seriously unless he gets completely gets rid of Kathleen Kennedy. FIRE HER AND BANISH HER. Down with Darthleen!!!

When trust is lost, it is almost impossible to get it back. Disney has lost all of the trust that it once enjoyed when it was a family oriented wholesome company. Except for the woke themselves, who is ever going to trust Disney again? And if Iger does as he is promising and gets rid of the homosexual/trannie agenda, even the wokesters won’t trust the company. Looks like a self inflicted fatal wound to me. Good riddance.

Disney wants to keep its status in Florida of their own independent country. They are probably afraid that Florida is now going to send the inspectors for all kind of code violations. That for starters. Then it is the question of money. A family of 4 cannot afford to go to the parks anymore. They are too expensive. You are better of going to Sea World or Universal right there in Orlando, or better Dollywood in Pidgeon Forge, TN. Cheaper and family oriented.

Ya' really gotta' love the Never-Trumpers on this board who love nothing better than jam knives in his back and twist them as they pass by. Yes, DeSantis has done VERY well. Gosh, so did Trump, wouldn't you say? Who says DeSantis is going to run in '24? The real problem is that some really believe that by jettisoning Trump into the caldera of the media volcano it will appease the god of ridicule that will then give conservatives a rest from attack. This is an utterly foolish notion. Like him or dislike him, Trump was getting the job done. Therefore, the forces of globalism on both left and right went into attack mode and unleashed a wave of suppression, slander, and censorship in a government-private partnership (gee, where have we heard that before?) unprecedented in our republic. Therefore, Never-Trump RINO's (who are more in league with radical leftists, especially in having a globalist worldview) appear and try to "reason" with those of us who are working to maintain sovereignty and make us, once again, "the city on the hill." Not the one that Ronald Reagan's speechmakers essentially stole without attribution but the one from John Winthrop, quoting Matthew 5:14. Thanks, but no thanks. May you continue to expose your agenda for further enlightenment.

Midterm election turnout among black voters appears to be 25 percent lower than white turnout, marking the lowest share of the black electorate since 2006, a New York Times analysis revealed Wednesday. The low turnout of black voters is a strong indicator Democrats could be losing a key portion of their intersection coalition long heralded by members of the left, such as election denier House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who has claimed the strategy a “gorgeous mosaic” and “not a cult.” Conclusive numbers have not yet been completely compiled from all 50 states, but an early snapshot of voter data suggests black voter turnout was well below the national average
