After firing most of Twitter’s employees, Elon Musk has turned his frustrations onto one of the company’s key advertisers. Frustrated over lost ad revenues, as well as potential access to customers, Elon Musk has taken on Apple and its CEO, Tim Cook. Bloomberg reports that the billionaire founder of Tesla “attacked the iPhone maker with a flurry of tweets Monday”, as a result of a deep reduction in Twitter advertising, for the maker of the ubiquitous iPhone. Used by 1.2 billion people worldwide, according to Statista, the iPhone remains iconic in its influence, with over 50% market share in the US. Also iconic: the way that Tim Cook has responded

Apple has always been a self-righteous, condescending, holier than thou and arrogant company.

I'm not on Twitter and don't plan to join, but if Elon builds a good phone, Apple can kiss my rear "Goodbye!"

Consider the less complicated scenario: Elon Musk wants to facilitate the free exchange of ideas over the internet. Elon Musk is not beholden to any politicians, foreign or domestic. Elon Musk is a man driven by big ideas, not money. Elon Musk makes products in dozens of countries; USA, China, Germany, The Netherlands and Canada, but mostly here in the USA. Tim Cook makes his Apple products largely in China or China-adjacent countries. Tim Cook is completely dependent on the good graces of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). Tim Cook is nothing more than a money man; it was his predecessor, the late Steve Jobs who was the idea man. Tim Cook has been aiding and abetting the Chinese government in repressing its citizens. Now ask yourself, why would Elon NOT go after Cook/Apple under these circumstances? Apply Occam's Razor and you'll see the answer and it is NOT what this doltish Forbes apparatchik alleges.

I am with #2. I am also going to dump my Apple stock. I sold all my Blackrock stock because they became ultra woke. It’s been very good for me but I really don’t want to be involved with them anymore. I sense a Tesla phone in my future also.

Android is a far better phone than I-phone (from a very happy user of 20-plus years). Furthermore, Westfall probably didn't attribute all that battle talk to his own headline. That's why God made editors who could read but not write! I joined Twitter years ago on a dare from the Doctor of Democracy who wanted to demonstrate that no one person could ''wreck the internet.'' Rush was right.

Apple has not given us any new products since Jobs passed away. Tim Cook is not a visionary

Well, good to know there are 1.2 billion people with more money than they know what to do with.

I was going to weigh in here but #4 superbly highlighted the differences between these two CEOs.
Elon created his businesses from the ground up while Tim Cook slipped into the driver's seat of a hugely successful business. The only time Tim Cook truly distinguished himself was when he resisted the FBI pressure to create a version of the iOS with a backdoor so the feds could read any iPhone user's private data.

Who says he's frustrated? Challenged, perhaps, but frustrated? Not quite.

Apple phones are mediocre, I would gladly throw out my iPhone for a phone made by Elon Musk.

I used to subscribe to Forbes back when they were a legitimate financial magazine. Never again. Now woke and pushing the left’s narrative. Dump them.

it is only Apple users who are impacted. Android users can download apps from lots of other sources besides Google Play. the closed platform that is apple is why I have never and never will be an apple user(and why the company I worked IT for decided long ago to not use apple products, instead going WinTel so we would not be held hostage to one supplier
