Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and gave a chilling warning to its allies in the West in an early Thursday morning address in Moscow.Explosions were heard in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, as Putin announced that Russia was launching a military attack on Ukraine.'To anyone who would consider interfering from the outside - if you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history,’ he said on a television broadcast around 6am Moscow time. The United Nations Security Council had just convened an emergency meeting Wednesday night. Earlier Wednesday, European and U.S. officials rushed to place more economic sanctions on Russia

Nobody is going to stop Russia, and Ukraine should have made peace. They were on their own.
And somebody should have stuffed a sock in Biden's mouth. Know why Putin never invaded while Trump was president? Because Trump watched what he said. Biden, on the other hand, was a fool running his mouth.

All of this could have been avoided. Pushing NATO on Ukraine without any thought of the consequences is ludicrous. We have our Monroe doctrine, remember the Cuban Missile Crisis where JFK almost pushed us into nuclear war to get Russian missiles removed? Are we not to believe that Russia has its own redline, it’s own “Monroe”doctrine? Does anyone actually believe that any NATO member would put its troops in harms way for Ukraine, a state that did not even exist until the old Soviet Union disintegrated? NATO and this administration are cheerleading Ukraine to an unnecessary war while risking nothing. This is not a Kosovo or Syria where outside powers can dictate events. Madness. Madness.

I wonder if Putin has considered the idea that Ukraine might not have given up ALL of its nuclear weapons.
Putin has justified NATO to all the rest of us. Putin is using his personal paranoia as an excuse to invade and independent country. I wonder if he has stopped to think that the EU, particularly the former Warsaw Pact nations, are limbering up their guns to fight back. Here is hoping cruise middles are targeting his supply lines all the way back to the Kremlin.
There is no room for this kind of war of aggression in the modern world. There is no room for nuclear extortion in this world.
Putin is putting his own population under the threat of nuclear annihilation, or at least counter invasion. His army and air force are limited to Russian 2nd class equipment, and Russian training, with Russian morale. Block the Dardanelles to the Russian Navy.
Send teams to take out all opposing field level officers. Set up a worldwide embargo of Russia and enforce ut with the US Navy and Air Force.
If you try to humor madmen, you end up paying a far greater price in money and lives to end the crisis.

Lots of things can be done - - immediately - - to swing the ituation into our favor - - - -
• Tell Despicable Joe that the invasion is being led by Corn Pop
• Unleash Tough Tony Blinken
• Unleash Snake Sullivan
• Ramp up the production of maternity flight suits
• Release Lloyd Austin's white supremacy report
• Build more and more and more windmills
• Let Susan Rice create another file memo
• Put Pencil Neck Schiff in charge of another Trump investigation
• Pull down every statue honoring a white male
• And finally - - give Dr. Jill full authority to re-decorate all of our military bases
I have a lot more ideas - - but let's get these done first.

History has a thing about repeating its self. This is like the Sudetenland in the 1930s and probably not the last invasion. The thing about invading a country, many in the country will never give up and now have a single minded goal to kill Russians any way they can. I suggest they go straight at the heart and visit Moscow, lots of Russians there.

On Ukraine, Tulsi Gabbard has made more sense than FPDT regarding how this should have been avoided. She hasn't praised Putin's military "genius" but rather laid out the rationale regarding the U. S. and NATO flirting with Ukraine as provoking a Russian response to prevent it. For most of my life, Ukraine was within the Soviet sphere, and since the collapse of the USSR, there has been no compelling reason to bring them into NATO. Unlike the demise of our domestic Oil & gas industry since January 2021, the poor state of our military goes back to the Obama administration and it was not materially improved under the Trump administration. Tweaking Putin over Ukraine and NATO on Russia's doorstep was foolhardy when backed by degraded military, especially in the absence of a significant and rapid military re-capitalization, as occurred under the Regan administration. Reagan's efforts to materially improve our military capabilities, in both transport and war fighting, was on display during the Gulf War. Since, then it has been a downhill slide for our military. Under Trump, morale improved and the degradation slowed but our military capabilities were not materially improved. Vis-a-vis Russia and China hostilities, our military is in worse shape than it was towards the end of the Vietnam War. Having Biden as Commander-in-Chief at this point in time is worse than being led by a five year old Cretin.

Through this whole situation, the scariest element is not Putin but old China Joe. Putin is a great poker player and knows how to read his opponent, when to bluff & when to call, but China Joe and the running dogs in his regime are so incompetent that they could escalate this is just a few days.
Like the little kid being bullied on the playground wants to show he's tough and so he brings daddy's gun to school and starts shooting, China Joe is quite capable of bombing Putin's troops. That will not go well and will end terribly.
Once again ... this is NOT our problem ... it is EUROPE'S problem. Ever since Yeltsin, Ukraine has been corrupt. So just let the cartels fight over who controls the territory that brings in money from drugs/corruption, etc. ... not our issue.
All of Ukraine is not worth one drop of blood from America's golden youth.

If the stupid b****ards on Capitol Hill had properly investigated Hunter and his family, this war would not have happened. Yes, this is true. This situation has evolved thru huge personal corruption in DC, and not just the Bidens, over Ukraine. Only Trump stood up. And they got rid of him. Putin has Joe Biden by the b****. Putin has had no need for PC/ROE to impede his military and history shows that they know the difference between winning and losing. Sanctions Schmanctions say the Russians and make adjustments to fit them. With Donald Trump, the US and Russian Chess Match had to wait another day until of course the Election Steal and Coup d etat upon the former great US of A! Economic shock waves are YET to hit the US and Biden is oblivious to its consequences!

What is more nauseating than Putin's 10 cent phony, lying explanation of why he's invading another former Soviet satellite is the Left's contention (and they're sticking with it) that this is all Trump's fault.
Hell, why not blame Eisenhower and Coolidge and every other former Republican president while you're talking gibberish.
Putin didn't dare attack Ukraine while Trump was president because scary Orange Man might have nuked Russia (or so Putin thought. And Iran. And North Korea. And China).
Now it's open season for hungry totalitarian dictators. There's a bumbling, dazed old nursing home candidate wandering around the White House being directed, manipulated and fed talking points by Barack Obama who once infamously wondered aloud why America should be any higher in the international food chain than any other country and shared the thought that America wasn't really very special.
We're living in Obama's second term and probably won't survive it as a unified nation so THANKS to all the voters who pulled the lever for 4 more years of Obama's hatred of America because Trump's tweets weren't always "nice."
Biden (at Obama's direction) pulled the plug on American energy independence and green-lighted Russian energy dominance of Europe immediately on taking office. Remember the stack of shameful EOs the old tool gleefully signed that first day in office? That idiotic display of disrespect for what Trump had achieved in just one term (choreographed, no doubt, by Obama's people) is why we're looking down the barrel of WW III right now.
Barack Obama, Joe Biden and their democrat lemming minions are the ONLY one's responsible for our very scary world right now. And don't let the pathetic media tell you anything different.
