The presidential inauguration, hosted by the city of Cali for the first time in the country’s history, occurred under the watch of a highly reinforced security operation amid a string of terrorist threats and a thwarted attack with explosives this week. Abelardo de la Espriella succeeded former President Gustavo Petro, a former member of the Marxist M19 terrorist group and Colombia’s first and so far only leftist president ever. President de la Espriella, a 48-year-old lawyer nicknamed “The Tiger” and highly supportive of President Donald Trump and the United States, became the next Colombian head of state after defeating far-left Sen.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) ideology has spread through schools, universities, corporations, and government agencies, destroying excellence, integrity, and comity. Now, a new investigation shows that DEI has infected one of the most sensitive and important fields in America: mental healthcare.
Accuracy in Media recently released video footage (video #1; video #2) from the annual conference of the American Psychological Association (APA), the world's largest psychological association. The footage reveals that the nation's most influential psychology organization is prioritizing political activism over patient care.

federal judge on Friday denied the Southern Poverty Law Center's (SPLC) bid to dismiss the Department of Justice's indictment of the organization and further declined to grant discovery into the DOJ's motives.
The DOJ announced charges against the organization, bringing six counts of wire fraud, four counts of making false statements to a bank, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The SPLC had argued that the case was politically motivated, but the judge rejected that argument, saying the SPLC's filings were "heavy on heated rhetoric, better suited for cable news, or a podcast."

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, is the only governor in America currently under investigation for a “pay-to-play” scheme, but that investigation will likely conclude just prior to the November election.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes – a fellow Democrat – is conducting the investigation and recently told reporters that the investigation is “near the end” and results would come prior to the November election, KTAR News reported.
“I feel confident that we’re going to get the information that we need to conclude the investigation,” Mayes told reporters earlier this week.
The investigation involves Hobbs’ connection to an Arizona group home,

Former Bill Clinton pollster, Mark Penn, appeared on FOX News today to talk about the Michigan senate race and what he expects to happen.
Penn suggested that if as little as five percent of Haley Stevens voters cross over and vote for Republican Mike Rogers, which is not only possible, but likely, that Abdul El-Sayed is cooked.
The Gateway Pundit has already shown videos of Michigan voters saying that is just what they are going to do, so this is not a longshot theory from Penn.

The suspect later confessed to federal agents and acknowledged destroying the data by wiping hard drives and deleting Google Cloud copies after realizing investigators were closing in.
Perhaps the most shocking revelation here is what happened next.
Nothing. Nothing happened next.
The FBI presented the full case, including the confession, to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Arizona, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, and two county prosecutors. All of them declined to bring charges.

McKinney City Council voted 7-0 late Tuesday to approve a site plan for a 32,573-square-foot mosque and Islamic center after more than 150 people signed up to speak, U.S. Rep. Keith Self warned against political Islam and police intervened as a woman confronted former Mayor George Fuller.
The vote came around 11:30 p.m. after hours of public comments from supporters and opponents who filled the council chamber, an overflow room and hallways inside City Hall. The packed meeting featured repeated boos, cheers and confrontations as speakers debated religious liberty, Sharia law, traffic and parking.

New York’s teachers’ unions are waging a vicious campaign against a federal program that would make education more affordable for low- and middle-income families.
The reason? They don’t want any competition — even if it comes at zero cost to public schools.
Through newspaper and TV ads and a dedicated website, the unions are spreading misinformation aimed at strong-arming Gov. Kathy Hochul into rejecting a federal tax-credit program she’s promised to join. Shameless online banners and a full-page ad in Hochul’s hometown Buffalo News blare, “Gov. Hochul, don’t opt in to Trump’s voucher scheme.”
Their fearmongering aims to bully Hochul into compliance.

Instead of insisting that Hamas dismantle its terrorist infrastructure without conditions, international mediators now appear to be discussing a plan to pay terrorists to hand over some of their weapons and enroll them in "rehabilitation" programs.
The proposal rests on two assumptions, both of which are dangerously flawed. The first is that Islamist terrorists can be persuaded to abandon jihad (holy war) in exchange for money. The second is that those who surrender weapons will genuinely renounce terrorism.
Haniyeh's response was unequivocal. "Our principle is Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea," he declared, making clear that Hamas preferred its jihad against Israel over airports,

Federal and Pennsylvania prosecutors have charged 19 defendants in connection with a $4 million scheme to defraud Medicare and Medicaid, the latest sign of the taxpayer-funded waste that has long plagued government health programs, Fox News reported.
The defendants named in the case include owners of home health care companies, their employees and Medicaid recipients who allegedly conspired to bill the government for services that were never rendered, according to prosecutors.Investigators say the defendants billed Medicaid for home health services while recipients were behind bars, in the hospital, working other jobs or out of the country entirely. In one instance, prosecutors said,

Francesca Hong, the radical leftist running for governor of Wisconsin, has been in the news for the last two days over negative comments she once made about Thanksgiving being a symbol of colonialism and ‘the original superspreader.’
Well, the polling on that must have come in because now Hong is out there telling people that Thanksgiving is her favorite holiday and she totally means it, everyone.
These people have no shame. They will literally look you in the face and say whatever they think will open the doors of power for them.
They think no one remembers a thing.

Before I get into this, I just want to say that all of this is coming from anonymous sources. Neither the White House nor the CIA has commented on it, and I can't independently confirm it. More often than not, anonymously sourced MSM articles on Venezuela and Cuba tend to be false or only have bits of truth sprinkled in, but I felt this topic was worth a mention as we watch the Donald Trump administration work toward a free Cuba. So, take them with a grain of salt. They may or may not be true, but here's what Politico and the New York Times are reporting this week.
