My colleague David Zimmer dug into the data to assess the success of President Trump’s immigration policies. He found them to be very successful, indeed: There has been a concerted effort by “open immigration” advocates, “anti-Trumpers,” and a supportive legacy media, to portray the immigration enforcement efforts of the Trump administration in the poorest light possible. We have followed the sad descent of Tucker Carlson into madness. Here, he accuses President Trump and the entire Republican Party (except for Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie, now gone from the party) of treason. He wants them subjected to Nuremberg-style show trials. Why? It has something to do with Israel.
As best I can reconstruct it, some tinfoil hat types are saying that the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2027 provides for a merger of U.S. and Israeli intelligence. That seems to be what Carlson is talking about, as he refers to “merge them formally.” Here it is:

It’s a rule in Big Tech: Whenever companies reach a large enough size, they stop innovating. For whatever reason, their creative juices runneth dry.
They simply… stop.
Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft — it happened to all of them. Little by little, America’s most innovative companies lost their ability to innovate.
And today, they only grow by acquiring outside startups.
Google leveraged its search engine revenue to acquire Android, YouTube, Fitbit, Wiz, and DeepMind. Facebook bought Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. Apple owes its renaissance to acquiring NeXT, and later bought Siri, Beats, and Shazam. Microsoft acquired everything from Forethought (precursor to PowerPoint), Hotmail, LinkedIn, Skype, GitHub, Visio, Minecraft, Activision Blizzard, and a whole lot more.
On Tuesday night, the House passed a stopgap measure that calls for the funding of the federal government until December 4th. That's after the midterm elections, which means Republicans could avert a pre-election government shutdown, assuming the measure passes the Senate.
But that is not a done deal, of course, considering Democrats would love nothing better than to instigate another shutdown to try and pin on President Trump and congressional Republicans ahead of November:

When college kids showed more class than the WNBA I came across a very inspirational story yesterday. It was interesting because it provided a stark contrast to another story that’s been unfolding over the last few weeks. And the words “stark contrast” don’t adequately describe it.

SevenCatholic churches in northwest Minnesota will stop holding Sunday Mass.
The diocese has been seeing declining attendance at the services, as well as a shortage of priests. Last fall, Bishop Andrew Cozzens began meeting with parishes to come up with a long-term plan for the diocese.

This will bring the total number of parishes down from 65 to 58. Cozzens said that half of the diocese's 32 priests will be eligible to retire over the next decade.
