It's been 18 years since the Supreme Court held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms, and in the nearly two decades since the Court has only taken up six cases directly related to those rights. Five years after Heller, SCOTUS struck down Chicago's ban on handguns, and in 2016 the justices issued a per curiam opinion that Massachusetts' justification for banning stun guns did not comport with Heller or McDonald. It took another six years for the Court to conclude that the right to bear arms was violated by New York's "may issue" permitting scheme.

New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill is blaming a software glitch in the state's motor vehicle system for accidentally registering 6,660 noncitizens to vote.
She further acknowledged Tuesday about 400 of those foreigners voted in recent election despite a legal ban on foreigners voting in federal elections.
The admission came less than a week after President Donald Trump gave a primetime address presenting evidence of election vulnerabilities, including hundreds of thousands of noncitizens who made it on voter rolls, spy agency concerns about voting machine security and a Chinese effort to obtain American voter data.

The error, which occurred under Governor Phil Murphy, added about 6,600 individuals to voter rolls even though they had indicated that they were not citizens.
