One way our nation's most "prestigious" newspapers show they're Democrat Party propaganda sheets is when their fashion critics apply all of their tawdry partisan biases to their evaluations of the clothes of politicians (or their spouses).Robin Givhan of The Washington Post was a transparent Democrat, and so is Vanessa Friedman of The New York Times. A white pantsuit worn by Hillary Clinton, as well as the feminist Democrats at the State of the Union, was very chic. But when Tulsi Gabbard wore one while she criticized Hillary at a Democrat debate in 2019, it suddenly carried "connotations of the fringe" and displayed "somewhat combative righteousness (also cult leaders)."

Usha Vance, like Melania Trump has enough confidence in herself that she does not need validation of her fashion sense or worth from the New York Times or Washington Post. Are these liberal female writers upset because Usha Vance looks good in a clearance maternity dress from Old Navy and is happily married?

During the 2000 Florida presidential election controversy Robin Givhan wrote a Washington Post article containing some nasty remarks about the appearance and wardrobe of Florida's then Republican female secretary of state. When several angry readers demanded that the paper run a photo of the snippy fashion critic it refused to do so. There was a reason for that.

The idea of Joe Biden's administration working closely with gun control groups is about as outrageous as someone eating eggs for breakfast. We all know it happened, at least to some degree, and it's nothing new. Both sides work closely with organizations that align with their administrations' interests. But did the Biden White House go too far with it? That seems to be the big question before a House committee that wants to know just how closely the administration worked with anti-gunners.It's unclear exactly what the ramifications of such interactions might be, though legislation designed to prevent this sort of thing seems the most likely response.

The implication is there might be illegal price collusion.

By reporting the sensational claims of UNICEF, the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano joins in the fearmongering of climate alarmists whose credibility suffers from a lack of scientific facts. Drawing on UNICEF’s The Children’s Climate Risk Report 2026, the paper’s front-page, June 16 story, “Emergenze climatiche: Il cielo sopra i bambini” (Climate Emergencies: The Sky Above the Children), claims that half of the world’s children are “threatened daily” by “extreme climate events.” The article lists the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as a way to mitigate “climate risks.” UNICEF’s report also urges the phasing out of fossil fuels in favor of “renewable” energy. But are children, or is anybody, really endangered by a climate crisis?

He's been doing it for a long time and, as both an academic and a commentator, he is able to bring something to the table that many of us simply can't. Because he's on the right, it's easy to simply assume that he supports gun rights. In this case, you'd be correct, though that's not the given that many assume. Still, like many people, Hanson valued gun rights as more of an abstract for some time before something made it personal.

From the Telegraph: “Air conditioning torn from homes under net zero clampdown.” Homeowners are being forced to tear out air conditioning from their private properties under climate laws, despite rising temperatures. Council planning officers ordered residents to remove air-con units over fears they produce too much carbon dioxide, stating they should only be used as a “last resort”. The net zero clampdown is part of building regulations that state “active cooling” should only ever be allowed when all other means of “passive cooling”, such as opening windows or using fans, have been exhausted. The New York City Rent Guidelines Board approved Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s key campaign promise to “freeze the rent” on Thursday — in a move landlord advocates slammed as “an absolute farce.” The board passed a rent freeze on both one-year and two-year leases for the Big Apple’s roughly 1 million rent-stabilized units in a 7-1 vote. Arpit Gupta, an appointee of Mamdani’s predecessor Eric Adams, was the one no vote. It came hours after the public resignation of one of the RGB’s nine members, Christina Smyth, who accused the panel of ignoring its own data during the lengthy process to decide whether to adjust rents —
