From the article: "In a video that sparked global outrage and went viral on social media, the Texas man, 36, was filmed interacting with a young boy on a balcony in Bogota. The woman recording the scene on her cellphone began yelling, believing she was watching the boy being sexually abused. Others soon joined in, cursing the man and demanding he stop." Sounds like the woman recording the scene jumped to a conclusion and then decided to broadcast. . .

When Donald Trump walked back into the Oval Office on January 20, 2025, he didn’t waste a single day. Within hours he had signed more than 200 executive actions and rolled back nearly 80 of the previous administration’s failed policies. While his critics were still writing op-eds about what he might do, the President was already doing it. By the spring of 2026 he had signed more than 250 executive orders — the record of a man who came to work, not to give speeches.

Six months after President Donald Trump warned states not to regulate artificial intelligence, they are increasingly doing just that. Congress has stalled on producing federal regulation of artificial intelligence as states forge ahead and scrutinize how chatbots interact with children, how AI systems are used by employers and what developers must do to try to prevent an AI-caused catastrophe.

Iranian military leaders celebrated the news on Monday that the country had agreed to the terms of a memorandum of understanding with the United States to end the current conflict, suggesting that the agreement represented “defeat and surrender” for America. The message from the Iranian armed forces command center, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, was markedly more belligerent and undiplomatic than the confirmation statements from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and other leaders in the civilian wing

Fox Corp. has agreed to buy the streaming pioneer Roku in a cash-and-stock deal valued at approximately $22 billion, including debt. Roku will continue to be run as an open, partner-friendly platform, the companies said Monday, and there appears to be no immediate changes that customers will see. Fox and Roku said that the combined company will become the third-largest player in U.S. television by share of viewing. Media reports had surfaced on Friday that Roku was looking at its strategic options, including a possible sale. Speculation was rampant as to which companies might be interested in an acquisition.

Former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland last week won New Mexico’s gubernatorial primary, with a 2-to-1 lead over her opponent. She’ll be up against Republican nominee Gregg Hull in November’s general election. A lot could happen between now and then. But considering the state's political history, there's a good chance Haaland could get elected governor. On the American energy scene, New Mexico is the second-largest producer behind Texas, pumping out 2 million barrels of oil per day. Two counties in south-east New Mexico account for 78% of all onshore federal oil production, according to the American Petroleum Institute. The Land of Enchantment is a key player in the American energy landscape.

Brown Convention Center, comes alongside long-standing Texas GOP platform goals of ending the state’s open primary system. Abbott’s endorsement comes as the party seeks greater control over its nominating process following the March 3, 2026, primaries and recent runoffs.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08) does not do a great media job speaking for the Democrats, and he proved that again on Monday during an appearance on Good Day New York.Jeffries tried to buffalo the anchors and the audience by criticizing President Donald Trump over "skyrocketing gas prices."This claim from Jeffries has two problems. First, oil prices have already been coming down because of the peace negotiations with Iran. Second, now that a deal is being signed, the prices are likely to drop even more, as shipping returns to normal.
