President Trump announced Wednesday evening that he plans to nominate Todd Blanche, his onetime personal lawyer, to serve as attorney general.
Blanche has been the acting head of the Justice Department since April 2, when Trump elevated him from his deputy attorney general post after firing Pam Bondi.
White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino shared a video on X of Trump making the announcement during a private dinner in the Rose Garden. “Tomorrow I’m instructing Dan and everybody else that’s involved in that very complicated process, which is gonna go I think very quickly, that we are going to make [Blanche] permanent attorney general,” Trump said.

The House approved a war powers resolution Wednesday that would halt the US military action against Iran, defying President Donald Trump as a handful of Republicans joined with Democrats to end the three-month-long war that has reordered politics at home and abroad.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) had tried to prevent an outcome that would show the mounting opposition to the war, abruptly shutting down floor action two weeks ago when the war powers resolution was on the verge of approval. But displeasure has only grown as the conflict drags on and as Trump struggles to negotiate a quick resolution.

“Mother” would be replaced with “gestating parent” while “father” becomes “non-gestating parent” and “paternity” proceedings would become “parentage” proceedings under the woke bill that was rammed through both houses of the state legislature this week. A “putative father” in paternity proceedings would now be defined as “an alleged parent” under the bill, which was sponsored by liberals Sen. Luis Sepulveda (D-Bronx) and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Westchester) and goes to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s desk for approval.

CBS News fired Scott Pelley on Tuesday, and his reaction only confirmed what we already knew — Pelley was a high paid propagandist masquerading as a journalist.
NBC News reported that Pelley’s firing came after he accused Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss of “murdering” 60 Minutes during a “heated” meeting with a new 60 Minutes producer.
“She does not love this place,” Pelley reportedly told the producer. “She was brought in to kill it, and she’s been doing exactly that.”
