The United States was built on a distrust of concentrated power. It is this fundamental distrust of big government that shaped federalism, defined the separation of powers, and limited each branch to a distinct role. During periods of rapid social change, however, governmental restraint weakens. Reform movements—whether in civil rights, economic regulation, or cultural policy—have not only produced legislation but also expanded judicial authority.j Social progressivism brings courts to no longer just interpret the law but also reshape it. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 addressed a clear injustice. It prohibited discrimination in employment and public accommodations based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

This nation is a representative constitutional republic. It is not a democracy, The survival of this nation is very much threatened by the hard socialist movement of the Democrat party.

An O'Keefe Media undercover investigation has unmasked a chief of chemical nuclear surety for the U.S. government spilling sensitive information and military tactics to a complete stranger. The undercover reporter the chief was speaking with filmed the entire exchange. The 14-minute video is embedded below. O'Keefe summarized the exchange in an X post. He wrote: Hugg also revealed that the airstrikes conducted under Operation Epic Fury had killed children in Iran. Apparently, it’s everyone else’s fault that no one quite knew what to make of Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy’s characteristically attention-grabbing remark on Tuesday morning: https://x.com/ChrisMurphyCT/status/2046345472915206646?s=20 There is some ambiguity in Murphy’s remark. Was the senator cheering on the ships that supposedly evaded the American blockade? Was he going for sarcasm, mourning the U.S. Navy’s inefficacy with a melancholy hint of self-satisfaction over having his skepticism of this war confirmed by events? As political observers wrestled over these competing interpretations of Murphy’s remark, we at least learned that the senator was dead wrong about the facts:

have no idea what’s going on with the Maryland General Assembly. But when your own law enforcement disagrees with you on a major Senate Bill, it’s a problem. In case you missed the news, the assembly earlier this week passed Senate Bill 791. Also known as the Community Trust Act, it essentially prohibits local correctional facilities from taking actions related to immigration enforcement. But what’s worse is that it actually holds back local law enforcement from communicating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and stops any kind of notifications and transfers to ICE without an order or judicial warrant.

New York City continues its tragic decline under the failed stewardship of buffoonish Mayor Zohran Mamdani, as spotlighted by a disturbing video showing three out-of-shape NYPD officers failing to restrain a subway thug. The incident, which occurred on a subway platform in the Bronx, underscores how Mamdani‘s embrace of anti-meritocratic DEI hiring practices has eroded public safety and emboldened criminals. The video, which was originally posted on Instagram, was reposted on X on Monday. “Three NYPD officers are unable to take down one thug at the Tremont Avenue subway stop in NYC,” an X user observed.

While Americans are told to think of Iran as a distant threat, the arrest of Iranian national Shamim Mafi at Los Angeles International Airport shattered that fiction on April 18. According to First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, Mafi, a lawful permanent resident living in Woodland Hills, allegedly brokered more than $70.6 million in Iranian-made drones, bombs, bomb fuses, assault weapons, and millions of rounds of ammunition for Sudan. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in federal prison. This is not just a sanctions case. It is a homeland security warning Americans cannot afford to ignore.

Pope Leo XIV on Friday urged young Africans against migrating to the West. Speaking to students and faculty at the Catholic University of Central Africa in Yaounde, Cameroon, the pontiff urged younger generations to stay and build their own countries rather than seeking opportunities elsewhere. “In the face of the understandable tendency to migrate, which may lead one to believe that elsewhere a better future may be more easily found, I invite you to respond with an ardent desire to serve your country and to apply the knowledge you are acquiring here to the benefit of your fellow citizens,” he said.

Virginia voters on Tuesday approved a redistricting referendum that will allow the state legislature to redraw its congressional maps outside the normal cycle in a manner expected to favor Democrats. The Associated Press called the contest in favor of the yes campaign just before 9:00 p.m., with 84% of precincts reporting. As of press time, "yes" stood at just over 50% of the vote. The state currently has six Democratic members of Congress and five Republicans. The planned Democratic map is expected to produce 10 Democratic-leaning seats and one Republican-leaning seat. Alan Dershowitz ... Republican? Yes. Not independent. Not disaffected. The famed appellate attorney and Harvard con-law professor has not just renounced his lifelong political affiliation, but Dersh has signed up for the other team. What happened? It starts with Democrats' sharp turn toward anti-Semitism with Israel as its political golem, but as Dershowitz argues, that serves more as a harbinger for a broader radicalization within the party. The catalyst came last week when most of the Senate Democrat caucus voted to withhold funds for Israel's defensive systems, where the scales fell from his eyes on the power of anti-Semites within the Democrat Party:
