Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. The Sine Qua Non Sequitur is addressing some post-Coachella legal concerns and will hopefully return tomorrow. A common refrain among conservatives in recent years is that we can't hate the media enough. Back in the summer of 2024, I wrote about my disdain for the "h" word — I try to never use it when speaking or writing — and the fact that the Democrats' flying monkeys in the mainstream media might get me to reintroduce it to my vocabulary. I don't want to let them to get to me, but they're certainly trying.

However, his tone changed when he delivered a stern homily on March 29, Palm Sunday. United States authorities continue to identify Iranian regime assets in the United States as that regime refuses to make any peace deal with the “great Satan” America. The latest arrest is an Iranian who obtained lawful residency here, even though it turns out she was trafficking arms for the murderous mullahs back home. There was some controversy this week about President Donald Trump being critical of Pope Leo for being weak on crime and his remarks about the U.S. military action in Iran. The pope had made prior comments about immigration and the military action against Iran that were critical of the Trump administration's actions before Trump's remarks. But then the media seemed to be trying to interpret a variety of remarks he made after Trump's criticism as an effort to attack Trump and promote controversy.

This week seems to be rife with journalistic malpractice from outlets either running with leaked and unsubstantiated material that tries and fails to put Trump administration officials in a bad light or works to erode and undermine our nation's institutional bodies of governance. The latest installment from The New York Times involves leaked memos from the United States Supreme Court, verified by more anonymous sources. Amazing how one can fail so spectacularly on this basic tenet of integrity. God help us.Nor should they.

President Trump announced on Sunday that the U.S. has taken custody of an Iranian ship.

The gunman accused of shooting eight young children dead in Shreveport, Louisiana on Sunday morning has been identified as Shamar Elkins.
Elkins, 31, opened fire at a home in Shreveport during a domestic disturbance, former Caddo Parish Constable Patrick Young told the Daily Mail.
The suspect, who was fatally shot by police during a vehicle chase, is accused of killing eight children, with the youngest being just 18 months old, the Shreveport Police Department said.
He was believed to be the father of some of the victims, police told KSLA.
A total of 10 people were shot, with two women surviving the deadly rampage.
At least eight children — ranging in age from one to 14-years-old — were killed early Sunday in what police describe as a sprawling domestic‑violence shooting that stretched across four separate crime scenes in Shreveport.
Shreveport Police Corporal Chris Bordelon told reporters officers were first dispatched just after 6 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 300 block of West 79th Street, where they located the initial scene.
