Well, it’s another glorious day, or something. President Donald Trump’s threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran have apparently worked, a “ceasefire” has been concluded, and as he did when he forced Israel to stop fighting Hamas when it had a chance to destroy the jihad terror group once and for all, Trump is once again hailing the dawn of peace in the Middle East: (Snip)
The Islamic Republic of Iran was likewise in a celebratory mood, and in its joyful exuberance, fired off a round or two of celebratory missiles and drones into Israel and the Sunni states that it has targeted since the beginning of this conflict.

Cue Einstein's definition of stupidity! FTA: "during the two-week negotiations, the US will firmly demand removal of Iran’s nuclear material, no nuclear enrichment, elimination of the ballistic missile threat, and more, Israel’s N12 reported on Tuesday.”
Removal!? Who would monitor that? The mulletheads will NEVER allow that. They lie, it's what they do; it's who they are.
They only respect overwhelming force. And they love death. I say give them plenty of it.

Trump must stop with the ultimatums and threats unless he follows through and enforces them.

Just a quick note...President Trump has neutered the Iranian military. There is now 11 days left of the halt in the destruction of the Iranian economic infrastructure. This is fine with me. It shows the US is humane and reasonable. The US military has already shown it is fierce and effective. In the following days the US will be observing, reloading, and recalibrating if there is need of another Phase of war. Sometimes patience is a virtue.

Critics, back off and wait, unless you are RINOs, which I suspect.

Both sides will declare victory and go home. There is increasingly lesser room for the Trump Administration to resume hostilities if negotiations fil. The Iranians know it. That is why they came to the table. PDT might get 'peace in our time' till Election Day but IMO it will not make any difference. The question is - how will Bibi take it? Very concerned this morning!

We'll find out soon enough whether Trump is a 3D chess player (as his supporters claim) or TACO Trump (as his detractors claim).

Well, it could be that there are limits as to what is possible. I would hope that the patient (Iran) will only begin to see how damaged it is as they have time to observe their situation during the ceasefire. And then there is the Iranian public who could de-throne them. And yes, the political reality in the US of an absolutely corrupt dimokkkrap party is a big limitation. Which I suppose is to say the American Trans-public who freak out when the news tells them to.
The goal was always to degrade them militarily, and then encourage the Iranian public to eliminate the scourge. Perhaps during the cease fire the rats will start fighting amongst themselves.
These kind of generational operations are not for people who have a compulsive need to grouse, and who cannot accept facts.

The former Commanding Officer (Kirk Lippold) of the USS Cole when it was attacked by a suicide bomber back in 2000 was interviewed on the Larry O'Connor show this morning (see www.wmal.com) to hear this interview once posted later today. He gave a great outline of all the murder, maiming and mayhem that the Iranian Mad Mullah regime has caused this world, especially Americans and Israelis. And how time after time, the US did nothing. So maybe Trump's style is a bit off-putting but he is the first President seriously trying to deal with Iran and also deal with a very biased US news media and crazy commie Dem Party. But I agree that he should have let Israel finish off Hamas in Gaza.
A commenter on the Maria Bartiromo show this morning (didn't catch his name) pointed out that Pakistan is a proxy of China and that is why Pakistan got itself involved (China made it) being the negotiator between the US and Iran and that China wants the Strait of Hormuz open because it's mostly their oil that they need that passes through it. And he pointed out that if the US concedes to Iran's demands on "managing" the Strait then that will tell China that they can then manage/takeover and control the South China Sea.

Let’s see what happens in the end! As it is clear that the Mad Mullahs of Iran are religiously grounded ideologists who you have to figure will not give up their ideological thinking until they are dead.

TDS article along with the person who posted it claims of "no plan." Trump the other day said they have a plan, but they aren't going to publicly state it in response to the all the arm chair critics.

Trump doesn't abide by the same rules as Hussein - i.e. tell the enemy and the world your battle plans. The media does not seem to grasp this.

think the military has done as much as it can to remove Iran’s military capabilities. They will not surrender, and the next step, as he threatened, is to start attacking civilian infrastructure, which he doesn’t want to have to do. So he’s giving the remains of the regime an opportunity to avoid this. However, in my humble opinion, the regime has no intention of sticking to the ceasefire, as we can see, already claiming that Israel broke it by attacking Hezbollah in Lebanon. It was made clear to Iran before they agreed to the ceasefire that it would not include Israel’s actions against Hezbollah. We are trying to preserve the Iranian people so that they can overthrow and replace the Islamic regime, but, unfortunately, when governments go rogue, the civilian population ends up being decimated. Consider WWII Germany & Japan. Sad, but in the end, I suspect that’s what should happen, or else we just wasted billions of dollars and our reputation.

His critics can't buy a skyscraper, let alone build one. Of course, he knows what he is dealing with. He dealt with NYC unions and their criminal associates. He knows the thugs from the Republican Guard aren't going to negotiate. He is looking to see where the power is, while reloading and planning our next military attack.
Spending this much political capital and knowing the stakes for the world and his legacy, means he won't walk away from this without being in control of the area under his terms.

I give Trump an A for effort, but whatever he accomplishes (very little other than buying some time) will be undone by the next Democrat Administration and the evil that is Islam. It's going to take Armageddon to bring about Mideast peace, and that's a long way off. Before that, forget it.

I refuse to believe that President Trump is as nieve as these "negotiations" would indicate. Jihadis dont negotiate, they rope-a-dope. They say whatever you want and do whatever They want.
They provoke you and hold a baby in front of their face to take the punch. Then they take a selfie with the battered baby and call CNN.
Does he expect the powerless citizenry to rise up militarily against ruthless jihadis? Google the Bay of Pigs.
I trust him but have no idea what he really expects to happen.

I wish this were some kind of genius ploy that Trump has come up with, but it looks more like he doesn't understand the radical Islam that doesn't care about the death of its own people and can't be bought. It is never going to stop killing its enemies unless it is completely crushed. Israel understands this because it needs to for its survival, and the Arab countries do too. I hope I'm wrong and we're going to finish the job, but it doesn't look like it.
