If you think Gavin Newsom is obnoxious, get a load of his wife. She took her children on a tour of red states so they could witness racism, misogyny and bullying first-hand. Because those things don’t exist in California but are pervasive in Red America: (X) And isn’t that the hideous Jen Psaki, former White House Press Secretary, nodding along? The arrogance of these people is of course appalling, but to me, the stupidity is even worse. By 'rednecks' they mean anyone without a college degree who isn't some woke, flaming liberal. A southern accent also means you are stupid and one of Hillary's deplorables. These leftist elites don't realize that they are the most arrogant, entitled and intolerant group of people on the planet.

It is well known folklore here in UA (Upper Alabama) that when high brass is assigned and transferred to Huntsville, the wives clutch their pearls and faint. It doesn’t take long. When it’s time to retire, they stay.

If Newsom gets the Dem nomination for President Mrs. Newsom’s little snippet will make dandy fodder for his opponents: “the Newsom’s hate you when you live in California and when you flee to red states they see you as zoo animals for their children to stare at and despise.” In any case, it’s good that Gavin’s wife gets out of California if only for a little while. If she pulls her giraffe neck frontward, removing her tiny head out of her rectum, she might notice how things are meant to work in functioning and prosperous states.

CBS News is the Titanic of broadcast news organizations. It's a century old, spans the globe, airs something like a dozen programs, and employs more than 10,000 — the most powerful all cut from the same ideological mold. Steering that hulk away from the iceberg is no easy feat, but it's the assignment given to new editor-in-chief Bari Weiss by parent-company Paramount CEO David Ellison. Weiss has been at the helm for less than a year, so I've been more than willing to cut her plenty of slack as she tries to steer the massive ship more toward the center. Results so far are mixed — and she was never going

That is the title of a City Journal article by Chris Rufo and others. Exposure of industrial-scale fraud in Minnesota has led to heightened awareness of theft of taxpayer funds in other states, with California at the top of the list. The City Journal article is long and detailed; here are just a few highlights: California is a cash machine. The state collects some of the country’s highest income, business, and fuel taxes, and now spends more than $300 billion per year. And yet, everywhere you look, California seems to be falling apart. $300 billion a year is an astonishing amount, but, as the authors write, California’s infrastructure (highways, bridges, etc.)

Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was found dead in her home Wednesday morning, and her husband was taken into custody in a case police say is being investigated as domestic violence. Officers arrived around 10 a.m. for a welfare check at her Broward County residence, and after gaining entrance to her house, they found her body. Authorities then arrested her husband, Stephen Bowen. Police have not released the cause of death or confirmed what charges, if any, have been filed. Police have not said what triggered the welfare check or how long she had been dead before officers arrived. Authorities have also not said whether anyone else

Michael Goodwin, writing at the New York Post, made a claim remarkable for its simple clarity: “The Democratic Party We Once Knew Is Dead.” You and I can readily agree with Goodwin, but the party is certainly not dead and gone. What has it become? Victor Davis Hanson provides the answer: There is no Democratic Party. There’s a Socialist Party. But it’s a very weird Socialist Party. It’s a ... [pyramid] with a lot of very wealthy, globalized elites that run things at the top. Nothing in the middle of the pyramid. And then an expansive big base of poor people, of immigrants. The Democrats, Hanson explains, no longer champion their

Should California codify Islamic religious observances into state-recognized holidays in the United States? As a nation, the essence of who we are as a People is rooted in our Judeo-Christian values and principles, dating back to the Magna Carta. This shared moral vocabulary has shaped Western thinking since America’s founding. Why, then, would any State in the Union formally endorse or incorporate into our educational and other public institutions a religious doctrine with practices antithetical to the belief system? AB 2017, introduced by Progressive Democrats Assemblyman Matt Haney and Senator Aisha Wahab, proposes adding Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast) and Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) to California’s recognized holidays.
Global Warming: It’s Not Unusual 8 replies

Hysteria about global warming stems from the fact that, as best one can estimate, the Earth’s average temperature has increased by around 1.1 degree C over the last century. Global temperatures have fluctuated widely in the past, and it has long been debated whether the current increase is anything unusual. At the Science of Climate Change, computer scientist Les Hatton recounts a relatively simple analysis that he conducted, using the oft-studied Greenland ice cores. From the paper’s abstract: In this paper we first dissect the background behind this number and what it means. Second, we use the Epica-Vostok Ice core dataset, a single proxy dataset for temperature data sampled every century

How many times have you been told that fact-checkers are neutral arbiters of truth, selfless guardians of an informed democracy, heroic watchdogs standing between you and dangerous misinformation? It’s the tallest of tales that we’re just supposed to take for granted. And then they give us every reason not to believe it. PJ Media readers have long known that mainstream fact-checkers are anything but neutral. During COVID, biased fact-checkers were deployed like weapons to silence dissenting voices on vaccines, lockdowns, and lab leak theories. After the 2020 election, conservative outlets — including this one — had to walk on eggshells with every piece we published, constantly watching for anything

American leftists held another “No Kings” rally last weekend. Democrats and their ideological allies gathered in city parks and town squares to tell the rest of us how awful we are. They screamed obscenities and called us “fascists” and “Nazis.” They demanded President Trump’s removal from office. Some even brazenly wished for his death. To non-leftists, these things are cringeworthy spectacles. The participants look loony and behave immaturely. They are not serious people. Their messages make no sense. Two years ago, career criminal Guy Rivera shot and killed NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller on a street in Queens while he was doing the job this city asked him to do. He was 31 years old. A husband. A father. A police officer who understood what the work required of him and accepted it. On that night, he stepped forward into danger with the same sense of purpose and nobility that defined his career. This week, a jury returned its verdict. And that not guilty verdict of murder in the first degree landed like a gut punch to the entire New York City Police Department.

It’s easy enough to dismiss Sen. Bernie Sanders’ endless lament that the rich don’t “pay their fair share of taxes,” but he should still be held to account when he flat-out lies about how much the rich do pay. In an op-ed published by the Guardian, Sanders repeats a number of leftist tropes: income inequality has never been greater, the Trump tax cuts benefited the rich and big corporations, the middle class is getting screwed. Yadda, yadda, yadda. But then he starts making some remarkable claims. He says that Warren Buffett’s tax rate is 0.1%, “while the average
