U.S. Chief Justice John Roberts said on Tuesday that hostility directed in personal terms at judges is "dangerous and it's got to stop," commenting just days after President Donald Trump's latest social media broadside against judges who have ruled against him and his administration. Roberts did not mention the Republican president by name in his remarks at an event at Rice University in Houston. But Roberts, who has led the U.S. Supreme Court for more than two decades, said that while criticism of judicial decisions is welcome and often healthy, attacks of a personal nature against judges cross a line.

Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday that she was asked to leave a restaurant in Little Rock last week because her presence made employees and customers feel "threatened."
Sanders previously served as White House press secretary during President Donald Trump's first term and has since been a supporter of the president's immigration policies.
The governor said she was dining with two other moms at the restaurant, which has been identified as The Croissanterie, when the owner allegedly told members of her security detail that Sanders must leave because her "presence made their employees feel threatened."
"Arkansans are known for their warm hospitality, and while that restaurant didn’t meet

It wasn’t long ago that millions and millions of American kids heard their parents’ best advice: “The only way to get ahead is with a college education.” And millions took their advice. Today’s parents and the kids themselves are skeptical college is worth the cost, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
The national online poll, taken Feb. 24 to Feb. 27, asked 1,456 adults: “Do you believe a four-year college degree is worth the cost for most Americans today, or not?”
The answer indicates serious erosion in how Americans view the value of higher education. Overall, of those responding, 59% selected “Not worth the cost,” while just

Later this month, protesters will gather across the U.S. for the third “No Kings” rally since President Donald Trump returned to office, and the Minnesota Capitol is set to host the largest rally. The national flagship rally at the Capitol in St. Paul is among more than 3,000 events planned on Saturday, March 28 as part of the national “No Kings” movement protesting Trump and his administration. Celebrity activists including Jane Fonda, Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers are slated to join Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, Attorney General Keith Ellison and other Minnesota officials for the big event. A group of Florida county sheriffs on a state advisory council are calling on President Trump to ease up on his immigration policy and to create a “path to citizenship” for illegal migrants who are holding down jobs and who are not otherwise engaging in criminal activity.
Despite that the sheriffs have been elected by Republicans and appointed to the State Immigration Enforcement Council by Republican Gov. Ron De Santis and Republicans, the council members are collaborating on a letter to President Trump calling for a more liberal focus on immigration policy.
The call to leniency has already spurred one state official to speak out against the council.

Celebrations for what would have been civil rights activist Cesar Chavez's 99th birthday are being canceled ahead of what's being described as "deeply troubling allegations" against the historic figure.
Across the country, several local organizations began canceling their upcoming celebrations in anticipation of an upcoming story that is expected to share concerning reports about the former labor union advocate.
As cancellations grew, the United Farm Workers (UFW), an organization co-founded by Chavez, released a statement on Tuesday confirming allegations were being made, including ones involving abuse of young women or minors. In response, the UFW announced it would no longer take part in any Cesar Chavez Day activities.

The Senate on Tuesday afternoon voted to kick off what could be a dayslong debate over the SAVE America Act, the controversial voter-ID bill backed by President Donald Trump.
“We’re not going to let it pass. We’re going to fight it tooth and nail,” Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., said on Tuesday morning ahead of the vote. “We’re prepared to stay here all day and all night, or multiple days and multiple nights and even multiple weeks , if necessary, to make sure the SAVE Act suffers the death that it deserves.”
The legislation, which advanced out of the House in February, would require proof of citizenship to register and photo ID

Given Iran’s half century of cruel barbarism in the Middle East, it’s hard to understand why the Democrats seem to be rooting for them in the current war. I have two theories.
One is the obvious one. The Dems are not so much rooting for Iran, as rooting against Iran’s enemy. Bad as Iran is, its enemy is even worse in the eyes of the Dems.
Iran’s enemy, you see – or at least the Dems see – has a history of its own cruel barbarism going back to at least 1619. Iran’s enemy has engaged in genocide against native people. Iran’s enemy has wrongly oppressed workers of the world

Diversity is our strength.’ One hears this, or myriad variants of the same idea, unrelentingly. Certainly I work in an Australian university where the extent of higher-ups pushing this notion does indeed qualify as unrelenting, even matching totalitarian state levels of propaganda. But even outside the hallowed halls of impartial, politically balanced academia (did I write that with a straight face?) the mantra or cliché that diversity somehow delivers a stronger balance sheet or a more cohesive society or just better outcomes is pervasive in today’s democracies that have committed themselves to multiculturalism and to the various neo-Marxist versions of feminism. ALBANY — Gov. Kathy Hochul is begging wealthy New Yorkers who fled the city to come back and continue padding the Empire State’s lavish public handouts. Hochul made the case against caving to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s demands that she hike income taxes — by saying she not only wants fat cats to stay in the city, but also clawing at those who have moved to states with better business climates like Florida. “Maybe the first step should be go down to Palm Beach and see who we can bring back home because our tax base has been eroded,” the Democratic governor said at a forum hosted by Politico last week.

President Donald Trump is not happy with NATO allies over the issue of the Iran war and their refusal to escort oil out of the gulf region. President Trump criticized the EU member nations for refusing to support U.S. military efforts in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump is then asked questions about if he would reconsider the U.S. relationship with NATO, warning it’s “not good for a partnership,” and signaling possible reconsideration of U.S. ties with NATO. WATCH:(video) The folks at the Lyndon LaRouche PAC are getting a ton of content to use in their anti-imperialism analysis as this conflict between President Trump, the U.K, the E.U and

California lawmakers said Thursday they planned to change the name of “César Chavez Day” to “Farmworkers Day” after sexual abuse allegations against the late civil rights leader arose earlier this week.
The New York Times reported Wednesday that Chavez had groomed and sexually abused young girls within the labor rights movement while he served as leader of the United Farm Workers Union. One of those women was Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the union with Chavez in 1962.
Huerta came forward this week with allegations that she was victimized by Chavez in her 30s.
