Jurisdictional Science And The Collapse

Recently, significant policy changes have begun moving the country back toward informed consent and individualized medical care. For the first time in decades, federal health agencies are retreating from long-entrenched models of coercion and centralized control, openly acknowledging the limits of what they know. The renewed emphasis on transparency, shared clinical decision-making, and rejection of one-size-fits-all medicine should feel like a long overdue correction. (snip) Just as the federal system begins to correct course, California and other coastal blue states are doubling down on the very coercive model that failed so catastrophically during Covid -- while insisting, with growing urgency, that they alone are "protecting science."

Excellent review of the facts. A niece, years ago when I gently mentioned that perhaps getting her boys, then about 7 and 10 the mRNA shots might not be a good idea, responded wonderfully "they'll get those damned shots over my dead body!" Smart young woman! Her husband, a military officer was forced to take the shots, but seems to have had no ill effects. The is and was zero benefit to the young for these shots, even if there had been zero risk, they were unneeded. And we now know that there is NOT zero risk, and any benefit remains unproven and elusive, at best.

Even after a lawyer representing Becca Good confirmed the pair were not married, news outlets and social media influencers refuse to correct the inaccurate portrayal of a "bereaved widow." (snip) Sticking with the lie that Renee and Becca were married is a critical part of the overall false narrative of their actions that day(snip)[:] A happy lesbian married couple had just dropped their young son off at school when they just happened upon an ICE operation in their community so they exercised their First Amendment rights at that moment to express their displeasure with illegal immigrant removals. But every aspect of that sympathy-promoting hagiography is untrue.

Obamacare abused by brokers to sign up millions for healthcare without their consent or knowledge. As a result, insurance companies reaped windfall profits, at the expense of taxpayers. In exchange for gift cards, millions of Americans were unwittingly signed up for Obamacare by brokers who scalped their information and enrolled them in [zero premium] plans where premiums were paid by the American people, a research group says. (snip) [A]t least 6.4 million more people were enrolled in these zero-premium plans than were actually eligible. (snip) Many of the enrollees never realized they had coverage because the government paid the full premium directly to insurers (snip.)

Why did public perception form in minutes and calcify into certainty, impervious to new information.

He was fired for asking too many questions after four HMOs were making an extraordinary amount of money from the state Medicaid program. Pennsylvania saw a meteoric rise in the number of adolescents receiving puberty blockers through an insurance billing code currently being investigated under the Trump administration on fraud suspicions. More than 220 claims for puberty blocking drugs were reimbursed for minors aged 10-13 (snip) for precocious puberty between Jan. 1, 2013 and Dec. 31, 2024, costing taxpayers more than $1.8 million dollars (snip.) A simple, but deeply unfair and manipulative narrative (snip) congealed as soon as Trump took office: ICE enforcement amounts to egregious military raids (snip) and as such, ICE is responsible for any unfortunate violence (snip.) Obviously that narrative has gone into overdrive since the unfortunate killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis (snip) Notably we're not seeing many ugly situations like what happened in Minneapolis in red states because the police and authorities there have been directed to cooperate. So Democrats have a simple choice before them: They can choose to (snip) cooperate with ICE, or they can choose to make their communities more dangerous.

He hates being told no, but in this case, I think Republicans need to be firm.” Bacon announced his retirement from Congress last July, and he’s eying impeachment as his final act. Virginia Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger reversed a high-profile immigration enforcement policy established by outgoing Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Spanberger, sworn in earlier in the day as Virginia’s 75th governor and the first woman to hold the office, signed an executive action rescinding Executive Order 47—a directive issued last year that had authorized Virginia State Police and Department of Corrections personnel to assist federal immigration authorities under a 287(g) agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The repeal ends formal cooperation between state law enforcement and federal immigration enforcement efforts.

Thirty-five percent believe the shooting was justified, while 12% have no opinion. But the poll results vary widely when the respondents’ political affiliations are examined. Seventy-seven percent of Republicans believe the shooting was justified, while 28% of independents and only four percent of Democrats hold the same opinion. These poll results are unsurprising. Congress created Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to briefly assist those in need. Shakespeare warned, “Ingratitude is monstrous; and for the multitude to be ingrateful, were to make a monster of the multitude.” In the case of TPS, “multitude” is correct. As of January 2025, approximately 1.4 million foreign nationals in the United States were shielded from removal under the program. The Trump administration decided to terminate TPS for several countries, with Somalia as the most recent. That choice is the right step in a long-overdue course correction for an immigration program that previous administrations exploited far past its statutory purpose. Somalia was first designated for TPS in 1991
