In the latest episode of "China is not a close friend of the United States," on Sunday, we learned that a Chinese state-sponsored cyberattack may have affected many, perhaps most Americans, from President Trump right down to regular folks across the fruited plain. This was audacious; it was carefully planned and executed, and it may still be ongoing. A former FBI official claims that it's likely every American has been impacted by a Chinese-state-sponsored cyberattack. Not a surprise to anyone except the prior administration. Phones, security cameras, Alexa-type devices, voice operated remotes.....What now?

Sounds like the NSA. I think Snowden may have mentioned this before he had to run for his life.

I remember an incident that occurred probably 20 years ago. The internet slowed to a crawl for about 30 minutes. It was determined someone had 'accidentally' routed all internet traffic through China. Don't know if the story was true.

This is bad enough as things stand, but imagine how much worse it would be if we had given Huawei unfettered access to the U.S. market as a supplier of cell phone network infrastructure equipment...

An Afghan national was arrested this week after he claimed he was building a bomb and intended to target a building in Fort Worth, Texas, authorities said. Mohammad Dawood Alokozay was apprehended Tuesday by the Department of Homeland Security after posting a video to his TikTok profile with the alleged threat. He is being charged at the state level. We're still waiting to see what fruit recent discussions regarding a Russia-Ukraine peace deal might yield, but early on Friday came news of an additional wrinkle: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's top aide, Andriy Yermak, has resigned in the wake of an anti-corruption probe. [snip] Yermak, head of the President's Office, submitted his resignation following searches by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) at his premises earlier on Nov. 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced. Yermak has played a key role in the peace negotiations, so his abrupt departure raises obvious questions as to how negotiations may be impacted.

On Thanksgiving, on Thursday, we gave thanks for everything that brings purpose and meaning to our lives. That’s a valuable day of reflection, a day that should matter to every American. But this Friday, commonly known as “Black Friday” for its sometimes wild opening of the Christmas shopping season, is also a day when we have to think about the upcoming cost of keeping all those things we’re thankful for, like our country. If you’re reading my work here, you may know that I’m not overly optimistic about the immediate future. My readings of history and my sense of the mood of Americans tell me something is coming, some seminal event

Our educational institutions have one purpose: To produce young adults with marketable skills. Even the elementary school systems should be focused on this goal. They equip young children with the basics: Reading, writing, and elementary math. President Donald Trump is vowing to "permanently pause" immigration from "Third World Countries" and is calling for a program of "reverse migration" in the U.S., following the shooting Wednesday of two National Guard members by an alleged Afghan national. He announced his intentions in a long X post: "A very Happy Thanksgiving salutation to all of our Great American Citizens and Patriots who have been so nice in allowing our Country to be divided, disrupted, carved up, murdered, beaten, mugged, and laughed at, along with certain other foolish countries throughout the World, for being “Politically Correct,” and just plain STUPID, when it comes to Immigration," the post begins.

Forget the Hollywood sign — the newest landmark in Tinseltown is a $10 billion pile of dirt that’s about to become one of the most exclusive addresses on the planet. The massive One Beverly Hills project has officially gotten off the ground, promising to turn a 17.5-acre slice of prime real estate into an “urban resort” so opulent that it’ll make Rodeo Drive look cheap. Over the weekend, 3,800 cubic yards of concrete were continuously poured, marking the foundation for the tallest towers in Beverly Hills. With a jaw-dropping $10 billion valuation, this isn’t just another condo complex; it’s a fortress of solitude for the super-rich.

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani doubled down Sunday on his claim that President Trump is a “fascist” and “despot” — but says he can still work with him. “That’s something that I’ve said in the past. I say it today,” Mamdani told NBC’s “Meet the Press” when asked whether he still views Trump as a fascist. The socialist pol said he’s eager to work with Trump because they agreed that the Big Apple needs to be more affordable at their surprisingly chummy meeting Friday. “What I appreciated about the conversation that I had with the president was that we were not shy about the places of disagreement,” he said. “

Jasmine Crockett is on quite a streak of shamelessness. One might say, a generational one. In that dubious category, the Dem rep from Texas reigns supreme in Washington DC, even in a week when President Trump told a reporter: “quiet piggy.“ It’s something to behold. She’s so consistently and ridiculously on the wrong side of objective truth, even CNN hosts are regularly swatting her down. On Wednesday, she attempted to pull a gotcha on Republicans accusing them of having a very cozy transactional relationship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019. On the House floor Crockett declared, “We’re gonna expose it all!” Narrator: “She only exposed her backside — and her incompetence.”

The left has gone way off the rails with their anti-ICE actions. Even after attacks on ICE facilities that have left people dead, you still have radical anti-ICE crews wreaking havoc in places like New York City, trying to stop ICE from carrying out its mission. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has made it clear: the radicals aren't going to stop them. Apparently, the radicals heard that the federal agents might be conducting another operation on Canal Street, an area ICE has hit in the past. So about 150 people tried to block agents from getting out of a garage of a federal building,

As we reported, a judge tossed the case against former FBI Director James Comey for technical reasons, ruling the appointment of the interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, who had filed the matter, was invalid. So it wasn't a ruling on the merits of the case, and it was dismissed without prejudice, so it could potentially be filed again, although there's a potential question about the statute of limitations. The Justice Department (DOJ) has already indicated that it would appeal that decision. So I don't think Comey should be taking that victory lap just yet, because it surely sounds like more is coming.
