Former President Barack Obama implied Tuesday that President Donald Trump was to blame for Charlie Kirk’s assassination, because of “extreme” personnel and policies that aroused violent opposition.
Obama was interviewed onstage by Steve Scully at the Jefferson Educational Society in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He mourned Kirk’s death, saying it was “horrific,” but made sure to recite an (inaccurate) laundry list of Kirk’s more controversial statements, including a false claim that Kirk claimed black women were stupid.
Obama then said that Trump wanted to use Kirk’s assassination as “a rationale

Liberal Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Tuesday warned that the poor quality of civics education means Americans may not know the difference between a president and a king. Sotomayor bemoaned the lack of education about such issues as the rule of law, saying not enough people have a basic understanding of the power of the president and the limits imposed upon that authority by the Constitution. "Do we understand what the difference is between a king and a president?" she said at a civics conference held at New York Law School in Manhattan. "And I think if people understood

Disney’s ABC said it would take Jimmy Kimmel‘s popular late-night show off its schedule “indefinitely” after one of the biggest owners of TV stations in the U.S., Nexstar Media, said it would pre-empt airings of the program following remarks the host made about the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Nexstar said Wednesday that its “owned and partner television stations affiliated with the ABC Television Network will preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for the foreseeable future, beginning with tonight’s show.” The company said it “strongly objects to recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets.”

Former President Barack Obama addressed the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk on Tuesday, calling the killing a “tragedy” that poses a “threat to all of us” before scolding President Trump for contributing to a dangerous political climate.
Speaking with journalist Steve Scully at the Jefferson Educational Society in Pennsylvania, Obama cast Kirk’s assassination as part of an escalating trend of political violence.
“Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, what happened to Charlie Kirk was horrific and a tragedy,”

An immigration judge in Louisiana has ordered pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil, a legal permanent resident of the U.S., deported to Syria or Algeria for failing to disclose certain information on his green card application, according to documents filed in federal court Wednesday by his lawyers.
Khalil’s lawyers suggested in a filing that they intend to appeal the deportation order, but expressed concern that the appeal process will likely be swift and unfavorable. The order from the immigration judge, Jamee Comans, came despite a separate order in Khalil’s federal case in New Jersey blocking his deportation while that court considers Khalil’s legal argument

President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced he will designate antifa, a left-wing activist group, as a "major terrorist organization."
Trump described the group as "A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER," in a Truth Social announcement.
The president added he will be "strongly recommending" that those funding antifa be thoroughly investigated in accordance with the highest legal standards and practices.
The announcement comes just days after Trump said he would "100%" consider the designation.

While he was vice president, Joe Biden stepped onto taxpayer-funded Air Force 2, traveled to Ukraine, and conducted personal business with Ukraine’s then-President Petro Poroshenko. He was there “to protect the interests of Hunter Biden,” according to documents released Tuesday by Sen. Chuck Grassley, (snip)
The new documents strengthen the information in previously released records. Last Congress, Grassley released FBI 1023 records — statements from confidential sources — alleging that when Biden was vice president, executives for Ukrainian gas company Burisma put his son Hunter Biden on the company’s board of directors to “protect us through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” according to that “confidential human source.”

Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.
Kirk had remarked on X in 2017, “Jimmy Kimmel isn’t funny.” His observation gained attention again on social media as users reacted to the network’s decision to remove Kimmel following backlash over his on-air comments about Kirk’s assassination.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) have come out against a Republican stopgap spending bill as Congress edges towards a shutdown.
House Republican leaders on Tuesday released the text for a stopgap funding bill that would set aside tens of millions of dollars for security assistance for lawmakers and federal officials amid heightened concerns about political violence after the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
The stopgap funding bill, otherwise known as a continuing resolution (CR), would seek to avert a government shutdown on October 1 and keep the government open through November 21.

There's bias in the media, and then there's next-level, full-throated love of the most extreme parts of the leftist movement, as exhibited by ABC News reporter Matt Gutman.
Gutman, as many are aware, went on an unhinged romanticization of text messages revealed by Charlie Kirk's assassin to his love interest, where he seemingly admitted to and attempted to justify his actions.
The reporter thoroughly embarrassed himself with the gushing sentiments. He felt the need to highlight the "duality" of a deranged killer and how he spoke "so lovingly" to his partner.
"It was very touching in a way that I think many of us didn’t expect," Gutman said.

As President Donald Trump tries to force Lisa Cook out of her job at the Federal Reserve, her lawyers have pointed to a similar event in history — one where the president lost at the Supreme Court. On October 7, 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt fired William E. Humphrey from his post at the Federal Trade Commission. The reason was purely political: The president wanted someone who could advance his priorities.. "I do not feel that your mind and my mind go along together," Roosevelt told Humphrey in a letter. His term at the FTC was supposed to last until 1938. When Humphrey refused to resign, Roosevelt fired him.
