I received such an outpouring of comments to my recent bad T.V. and cable ads article that I thought I’d give this another shot. Currently, there are so many bad ads I had no problem finding truly dreadful examples. First, let’s check out an ad campaign that worked, American Eagle’s ads featuring Sydney Sweeney, a popular young Hollywood actress. Apparently, she not only has good genes, but good jeans. When those American Eagle Sydney Has Great Jeans ads broke a couple of weeks ago, three things happened. Immediately, the “progressive left” predictably lost their minds, flooding TikTok and YouTube with screaming video fits, calling Sydney a Nazi while claiming

There is no other way to say it: today’s Democrats have a love-affair with criminals, violence, and vulgarity.
Thus, they clearly favor illegal immigrants over citizens, criminals over the law-abiding, and chaos over the Constitution.
The examples are legion, inexhaustible. To wit:

There was a lot of news this week. Texas Democrats, emulating their brethren in Wisconsin and Minnesota, fled to greener pastures in hyper-gerrymandered Illinois. The battle over illegal immigration continued. As of this writing, President Trump and Vladimir Putin are conferring in Alaska.
But the overwhelming favorite of meme-creators was President Trump’s effort to get crime in the District of Columbia under control. That seems like a laudable objective, but every Democrat, without exception as far as I know, has lined up on the side of the criminals. Much of Colombia is in mourning today, with the sad news that a leading conservative presidential candidate, Miguel Uribe Turbay, died of his wounds in a brazen assassination that began on June 7. He was 39 and the father of three young children. I wrote about the initial attack here.

A suspected illegal alien was killed after darting onto a freeway to avoid contact with federal immigration officers conducting an enforcement operation at a Home Depot store in Monrovia on Thursday, according to city officials. The man was struck by a passing motorist and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Monrovia City Manager Dylan Fiek says the man ran from the Home Depot parking lot onto the 210 Freeway and likely was fleeing to avoid detection by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city located 20 miles north of Los Angeles.

A federal judge on Friday shut down the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) investigation into far-left Media Matters.
US District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, a Biden appointee, issued an injunction against the FTC and blocked its investigation into Media Matters.
The judge said the Trump Administration illegally retaliated against Media Matters.
