There was a lot of news this week. Texas Democrats, emulating their brethren in Wisconsin and Minnesota, fled to greener pastures in hyper-gerrymandered Illinois. The battle over illegal immigration continued. As of this writing, President Trump and Vladimir Putin are conferring in Alaska. But the overwhelming favorite of meme-creators was President Trump’s effort to get crime in the District of Columbia under control. That seems like a laudable objective, but every Democrat, without exception as far as I know, has lined up on the side of the criminals. The District has sued to stop Trump from saving residents from violence and disorder. And the Deep State,

Don’t be disappointed if you’re anxious to attend the Biden Presidential Library’s opening. It almost certainly will never exist. I received such an outpouring of comments to my recent bad T.V. and cable ads article that I thought I’d give this another shot.
Currently, there are so many bad ads I had no problem finding truly dreadful examples.
First, let’s check out an ad campaign that worked, American Eagle’s ads featuring Sydney Sweeney, a popular young Hollywood actress.

A suspected illegal alien was killed after darting onto a freeway to avoid contact with federal immigration officers conducting an enforcement operation at a Home Depot store in Monrovia on Thursday, according to city officials. The man was struck by a passing motorist and taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Monrovia City Manager Dylan Fiek says the man ran from the Home Depot parking lot onto the 210 Freeway and likely was fleeing to avoid detection by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city located 20 miles north of Los Angeles.

The U.S. Department of State announced Saturday morning that it was stopping a visa program that allowed residents of Gaza to enter the United States for "medical-humanitarian" reasons. This comes after videos of large groups of Gazans—often decked out in "Palestinian" flags and keffiyehs associated with the terror group Hamas—arriving at airports across the nation began popping up on social media in the last few weeks.
According to this State Department tweet, the program is being paused while officials review the "process and procedures" that have allowed a stream of injured children from Gaza, often accompanied by several family members, into the country.

US District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan, a Biden appointee, issued an injunction against the FTC and blocked its investigation into Media Matters.

Three people were killed and eight others wounded when multiple gunman opened fire inside a Brooklyn restaurant around closing time Sunday morning.
Officers responded to calls of a shooting inside Taste of the City Lounge at 903 Franklin Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood just before 3:30 a.m., NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a press briefing.
The fatal victims were identified as three men, who were 27, 35, and an unknown age.
The eight wounded victims were transported to local hospitals. However, their conditions were not disclosed.
