“Destiny guides our fortunes more favorably than we could have expected. Look there, Sancho Panza, my friend, and see those thirty or so wild giants, with whom I intend to do battle and kill each and all of them…. This is noble, righteous warfare, for it is wonderfully useful to God to have such an evil race wiped from the face of the earth.”
“What giants?” Asked Sancho Panza.
“The ones you can see over there,” answered his master, “with the huge arms, some of which are very nearly two leagues long.” “Now look, your grace,” said Sancho, “what you see over there aren’t giants, but windmills, and what seems

An Australian state has asked citizens to surrender machetes at disposal bins ahead of a statewide ban on the weapons aimed at combating knife crime.
Australia’s state of Victoria on Thursday announced that more than 40 machete disposal bins will be available at police stations across the state to allow citizens to safely get rid of the weapons without a penalty before the Sept. 1 ban begins.
"Owning, carrying, using, buying, or selling a machete without a valid exemption or approval will be a criminal offense," the Victorian government said in a statement.
The government is running a "Machete Amnesty" period from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30 to support the safe disposal

It is commonly believed that the Russia collusion hoax was the worst scandal in American history, and certainly it has a strong claim. But if smearing Donald Trump with Hillary-concocted lies was a major scandal, how about trying to put him in prison? Alex Marlow, editor in chief of Breitbart News, has written a book titled Breaking the Law: Exposing the Weaponization of America’s Legal System Against Donald Trump. It hits bookstores tomorrow. Marlow’s theme is that the multiple criminal and civil cases that were brought against Trump before the 2024 election were coordinated from the Joe Biden White House. The whole thing was a Democratic Party put-up job.

Benjamin Franklin once wrote, "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." We can add another certainty to that list: silly performative acts from leftwing lunatics.
Two recent examples of leftists making fools of themselves will make you laugh at the same time that you’re shaking your head at the inanity of it all. Let’s start by visiting a Trader Joe’s location in Oakland, Calif.
A group of totally serious and credible people held a funeral for the packages of chicken in the frozen section. The ceremony included a nutter in a black robe ringing a bell, chanting, and beating a drum. These activists, who

With efforts underway by Administrator Lee Zeldin to reform the EPA’s reputation for junk science, it is worthwhile to look back at how science became politicized within that agency. The story begins over a half century ago during the counterculture revolution of the late ‘60s when environmentalism became popular. Paul Ehrlich, who is often credited with being the founding guru of the environmental movement, became an overnight celebrity with his 1968 best-seller, The Population Bomb. In it, he warned about the consequences of population growth and predicted imminent famine and resource depletion for the world. Not since Thomas Malthus

A lot happened this week. There were new revelations in the Russia collusion hoax that may bring criminal prosecutions nearer. President Trump concluded an epic trade deal with the European Union. Trump gave Russia a deadline to end the Ukraine war.
But on the internet, these stories paled in comparison with American Eagle’s ad campaign promoting the company’s jeans. American Eagle had the temerity to launch a campaign that features the actress Sydney Sweeney, a buxom blonde who seems suspiciously un-woke. No one complained when Beyonce was featured in a jeans ad campaign, but a white girl? Nazi propaganda! One of the stupidest faux controversies on record spawned a record number

Reams have been written about the latest revelations in the Russian collusion hoax that so hamstrung President Trump’s first term. I will summarize below the most important revelations. It’s clear the Administration is taking its time to reveal the investigation’s conclusions for maximum impact -- an impact that I, like Scott Adams, believe will result in arrests of a number of people who pulled off this fraud. But first I want to discuss something which has not received the kind of attention it deserves -- the death of the legal consequences for disparate outcomes and credentialism.

It’s over, man. Over. The Russian collusion hoax has been so thoroughly exposed, so stripped down to the bare bones, that it’s now just as pathetic as it is disconcerting. The largest intelligence operation in American history was used against us—and for what? To cover Hillary Clinton’s botched use of an unsecured server while she served as Barack Obama’s top diplomat. Since the server was unsecured, it was likely hacked, and files were retrieved. Democrats needed to take action to launch countermeasures. (X) There was no file on Donald Trump from the Russians, but they did have one on Ms. Clinton. Former Rolling Stone contributing editor

Two recent mass casualty attacks have brought to mind Democrat Rham Emmanuel’s admonition to never let a serious crisis go to waste. His fellow Dems do whatever is necessary for political advantage. Dancing on the graves of victims, misrepresenting facts and egregious lying are common.
(Snip) At 5 PM a 42-year-old man in a WalMart attacked random shoppers with a folding knife. He stabbed 11, critically wounding four. A former Marine WalMart employee attacked him with a shopping cart. The attacker fled to the parking lot where he was surrounded by 5-6 people. One, another former Marine, was armed and disarmed the attacker and held him for police.

Absent sound money, a modern economy would revert to primitive barter where a cow might cost three goats. The introduction of money, at least in principle, solved relying on barter, but this also brought counterfeiting. Now, a dishonest person might debase a coin’s true value by filing off their edges or minting fake coins that replaced silver with lead. The rise of paper money similarly invited deceit -- inflation -- when cash-strapped governments just printed yet more paper currency until only the paper had value, so this “money” became wallpaper, even toilet paper.
Governments thus have strict laws regarding debasing currency. When Issac Newton was appointed Warden of the Royal Mint

Democrats are still scratching their heads over why young men keep slipping through their fingers. After years of trading in empty promises and socialist fantasies, the Left was stunned in 2024 when young men broke ranks and cast their votes for Donald Trump. Satellites could probably pick up the wailing from Washington.
Who could possibly be surprised that young men are turning away from a party that openly sneers at masculinity, constantly lectures about so-called “male privilege,” and blames every societal issue on “the patriarchy”?

Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) This is a bit of an extension of what we led off with yesterday, when we were talking about Rep. Jasmine Crockett. Today, we're looking at Sen. Cory "Hey, a Camera!" Booker — aka New Jersey's lousiest performance artist. Not one to let assigned gender roles slow him down, Booker is determined to crack the Prosecco Ceiling and become one of the Democratic Party's mean girls.
Once more, with feeling: the Democrats are completely out of ideas that they can offer the American people in an attempt to win back voters that they lost last year. They are also incapable of self-examination,
