The special session is trying to push through a new congressional map that Democrats think is unfair because it gives the GOP five new seats. These new districts are majority Hispanic, another sign of how Democrats have bottomed out with voters.
Healey is threatening to redraw her state’s congressional maps, following Texas’ overhaul, but it’s a funny statement because her state has no Republican district.

This time, he’s going after the rigged system that counts illegal aliens in the U.S. Census, skewing congressional representation and rewarding sanctuary states with more power. On Thursday, Trump announced he’s directing the Department of Commerce to conduct a new, corrected census — one that actually counts American citizens and excludes those here illegally.
“I have instructed our Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS based on modern day facts and figures and, importantly, using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024,” Trump announced in a post on Truth Social.

This not only probably violates federal law, but it also puts ICE agents in danger at a time when violent activists are likely to impede or even assault them. The man who once led the now-discredited “Russiagate” investigation may no longer be mentally competent to testify, according to new reports.
Paul Sperry of RealClearInvestigations reported Tuesday that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has lived in a memory-care facility “for the past few years.”
Sperry wrote on X, “NEW: House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed Robert Mueller to appear for a Sept. 2 deposition to provide details from an FBI investigation of Jeffrey Epstein from decades ago — even though sources tell me Mueller has been living in a memory-care facility for the past few years.”
Ghislaine Maxwell reportedly said nothing during interviews last month with the Justice Department that would be harmful to President Donald Trump.
Maxwell was sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in federal prison for conspiring with the late Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse minors. She has appealed her conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court.
ABC News reported that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche questioned her for nine hours over a two-day period last month regarding Trump and other Epstein associates.

An Australian state has asked citizens to surrender machetes at disposal bins ahead of a statewide ban on the weapons aimed at combating knife crime.
Australia’s state of Victoria on Thursday announced that more than 40 machete disposal bins will be available at police stations across the state to allow citizens to safely get rid of the weapons without a penalty before the Sept. 1 ban begins.
"Owning, carrying, using, buying, or selling a machete without a valid exemption or approval will be a criminal offense," the Victorian government said in a statement.
