Trump Should Have Fired McEntarfer Long Ago

The corporate news media greeted the lackluster jobs report that dropped on August 1 with unabated glee, and savored President Trump’s complaints concerning its accuracy. They were less pleased, however, when he fired Commissioner of Labor Statistics Erika McEntarfer. The coverage of her termination was predictable. CNN, for example, went with the following headline: “Trump fires a senior official over jobs numbers.” In reality, McEntarfer’s termination was long overdue. She was a Biden appointee whose tenure at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has been characterized by disarray.

Corrected headline: "Trump fires a senior official over FRAUD in job numbers, under Biden and Trump".

Republicans need to get out front with the stats that almost every jobs number was revised down under Biden with this person in charge. They need to make the case for incompetence and not let the MSM continue to make it look like retribution because the jobs report was low this time.

There has been gross inaccuracy in jobs reporting for a long time. Given the incompetence in government, this is not surprising. The first question should be, can the jobs reporting system be relied upon. Maybe, at its inception, it is like "Global warming" science, inherently flakey and inaccurate. If so, we should stop pretending that the short term numbers generated have any value. Maybe it is not possible to get reliable numbers in a short term review. Maybe the methodology used is bad. The next realization should be, given unreliable methodologies and uncertain accuracy the likelihood of data being fudged by bureaucrats with a political tilt goes up considerably. After all, who would know and how could anyone see a thumb on the scale in the mess that is BLS? We could use a DOGElike effort in BLS to examine their methodologies and we need to be realistic about whether the numbers they crank out are as meaningful as we treat them. They should come with confidence scores based on historical accuracy reviews. If job growth is reported to be lackluster but the report only has 30% confidence of accuracy, should anyone be paying attention or take actions based on it?

Time and again Trump is proven to be correct and accurate, despite the opinions of"experts" and news reporters. If he tells me the BLS numbers are rigged, well then doggone it, there is no reason for me to doubt him.

Under the Biden administration the jobs report always inflated the new jobs statistic. Then a couple of weeks later they would quietly reduce the number.

A CNBC video currently posted on the Citizen Free Press website addresses how the BLS has allowed the underlying reporting on which the jobs data is based to deteriorate. Obviously a new BLS Commissioner was long overdue.

It’s understandable, and rational, that the American people don’t trust the media. Time and time again the media have proven themselves to be untrustworthy. Still, I sometimes find myself wondering how different things might have been, how the press could have saved itself, had reporters just been willing to work with honor and walk down the painful road of introspection when they were wrong. That last phrase, “walk down the painful road of introspection,” is not my own. It belongs to Bob Woodward, the “legendary” Washington Post reporter. Woodward became famous for his coverage of Watergate in the 1970s. A lot of conservatives dislike Woodward, and I understand why.

Booker is usually a decent speaker but in this case he actually did the thing. He started his speech saying there were things he was "tired of" and then offered a list of Trump's wins against progressive law firms and universities and overpaid TV hosts. It was a full meltdown. Anyone old enough to have watched the original Star Wars film on the big screen will clearly remember the scene in which Obi-Wan Kenobi advises Luke Skywalker that the Mos Eisley settlement is “a wretched hive of scum and villainy.” According to a new Wall Street Journal poll, this is very much the way most voters view the Democratic Party. Specifically, the survey found that 63 percent of voters hold an unfavorable view of “the Party of Jefferson and Jackson.” Considering the absurd antics to which voters have been subjected by these people, it’s remarkable that their numbers aren’t worse.

The Obama intelligence community’s claim that Russian President Vladimir Putin authorized dirty tricks to try and help Donald Trump win the 2016 election was based on "one scant, unclear and unverifiable fragment of a sentence from one of the substandard [intelligence] reports," according to a just-declassified report that had been locked away in a CIA vault. Nevertheless, former CIA Director John Brennan ordered agency analysts to use the claim in the Intelligence Community Assessment issued during the Obama administration’s final days – even though the ICA itself noted that how the information on Putin's plans was obtained was “not explicitly clear.”

The largest employer in the United States isn't a Fortune 100 company like Alphabet, Amazon or Apple. It's the federal government − and that's a problem. Thankfully, President Donald Trump continues to slash bureaucratic bloat. On July 11, the administration sent layoff notices to more than 1,300 State Department workers, and three days later, the Supreme Court allowed Trump to move forward with plans to gut the Department of Education. That's bad news for government employees, but great for taxpayers, especially given the Education Department's expense − $268 billion in the last fiscal year − and its lack of effectiveness.

The records are related to ongoing criminal investigations into Brennan and other top intelligence officials for their roles in launching the Russia collusion hoax. The dispute was over the “key judgment” in a January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) that Russia had interfered in the election specifically because Putin and the Russian government “aspired to help President-elect Trump’s election chances.” The senior intelligence officials pointed out the lack of evidence to substantiate

It is no longer debatable that President Trump’s second term is remarkable for its historic and rapid accomplishments. During the first six months of 2025, he has secured the southern border, brought prices down on energy and food, begun deporting violent illegal immigrants, used tariffs to produce the first monthly budget surplus the nation has seen in years, made his 2017 tax cut permanent by signing the “Big Beautiful Bill” into law, ad infinitum. There’s little reason to expect this momentum to slow down in the rest of Trump’s term unless the Democrats win the House of Representatives in 2026.

Like most billionaires, he is accustomed to getting what he wants when and how he wants it. He has no patience with the excruciating political process and the necessary compromises that must be endured to produce a piece of legislation like the bill Trump signed into law on July 4. In this regard he has much in common with the late Ross Perot, whose destructive foray into national politics proved so disastrous for the Republican Party and the nation at large.

You'd think this tactic would be reserved for the most extreme of issues or candidates, but with today's Democratic Party, it's not the final arrow in their quiver, it's often times the first one they reach for in order to convince you to not do something. Remember when Mitt Romney ran for president in 2012? This was a couple years after the passage of the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare.

Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani has a lot of dumb ideas. Of course, these days that’s pretty much assumed when you hear the words “Democratic mayoral nominee.” But — though the competition is stiff — the dumbest of his ideas may be his plan for government-run grocery stores. In fact, it’s so obviously a terrible idea that even Democrats seem to know it. So there must be another agenda, and I think I know what it is. Business owners across New York City and the nation have denounced Mamdani’s plan as a Soviet-style disaster. “You can’t force us to pay taxes and then be our adversary,” said Bronx bodega owner Rafael Garcia.

As expected, Texas Democratic legislators have fled the state to deny a quorum for Gov. Greg Abbott's redistricting push. The members flew to Illinois on Sunday, which qualifies as peak irony given that the blue state is arguably the most gerrymandered in the country. This plan was reportedly hatched with Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL), and the 30 odd Democrats will spend at least a week there. Given what we saw when they did this in 2021, denying a quorum for an election reform vote, there is no doubt a lot of grandstanding, dramatics, and cringe singing on the way.

Recently, a large group of black youths began pummeling white adults in downtown Cincinnati. The original altercation apparently broke out between a black and white male in he-said/he-said fashion. But that dispute soon turned into a virtual free-for-all. Numerous male and female black youths sucker-punched a middle-aged woman. Others continued to kick or body slam the victims. There were many disturbing aspects to the beat-downs. One, the violence broke out along racial and age fault lines. After the initial dispute, groups of black youths swarmed solitary older white bystanders to pound them. Two, the surrounding assembled group of black youths not only failed to intervene to restrain the bullies.

The regulation is expected to take effect August 20, 2025, with final details published in the Federal Register 15 days beforehand, consistent with federal notice rules. The policy promises a full refund, with interest, only if travelers exit the country on time and via designated ports. Otherwise, the bond is forfeited to the Treasury, ostensibly to offset illegal-immigration enforcement costs.
