Secret Service Nearly Renewed Clearance
for Disgraced Director Who Failed to Protect Trump

The Secret Service, which once had a reputation for steadfast apolitical professionalism, found itself on the cusp of making an utterly mystifying decision before a Republican senator intervened with some pointed questions. Incredibly, officials were about to rubber-stamp the renewal of former Director Kimberly Cheatle’s top-level security clearance: the very same Cheatle whose disastrous leadership enabled the security meltdown that nearly claimed Donald Trump’s life in Butler, Pa. It’s only when RealClearPolitics pressed for comment on Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) opposition that the agency recoiled and changed course.

When I left my job which required a highest level clearance, after 35+ years of holding that clearance, my clearance was canceled the next day. Should be exactly the same for all these damned DC folks. Leave the job, lose the clearance...NOW.

I have heard that Dr. Jill had more Secret Service with her on her shopping trip that weekend than was assigned to cover Trump at a huge rally in Pennsylvania. Of course, it was some sloppy work from those SS people that nearly resulted in the death of Trump. If investigations prove all that to be true, Cheatle isn't the only one who should be out of a job. She certainly shouldn't still have security clearance. It was almost as if they knew there would be an assassination attempt and hoped that it would happen.

Why do Former Secret Service Directors need Security Clearance anyway?? When most of us leave our former Jobs, we don't get to keep anything! That's because there is NO NEED for us to do so. I think Former SS don't need Clearance! They are now just Plain Americans like the Rest of Us!

“It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt." — John Philpot Curran I don’t know if John Philpot Curran is an ancestor of Secret Service Director Sean Curran, but I hope the director follows through with his perspective. All this shows is that the Secret Service is still an insular little club of people -- an under-the-radiar "Uniparty" if you like -- who are willing to scratch each others' backs even when some of them have perpetrated nearly fatal negligence in their employment to serve partisan political interests. If my memory is correct, the director of the service reports to the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Time to clean house, Secretary Noem!

Yet the mainstream media is once again gaslighting us at the highest levels, while whistling past the graveyard. Why? Because this is their scandal. They were in on it from the first day, as the PR wing of the Democrat Party and various communist traitors hellbent on the intentional destruction of America. Former president Barack Obama exudes an air of superiority and self-assurance that inspires those to whom he’s speaking to believe everything he says is true. He has spent twenty years leveraging his soaring rhetoric to deceive the easily duped. That’s why it’s no surprise that we are now learning that the former president has tried to harm political opponents by saying one thing publicly and doing the exact opposite in private. Since 2004, America has received warnings from Barack Obama about threats he believes Americans should watch out for, including issues related to democracy, the rise of authoritarianism, free speech, misinformation, election denial, and hyperpartisanship.

There is a lot of talk about whether former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper are protected by a statute of limitations in their roles in fabricating the Russia hoax. But, as current CIA director John Ratcliffe pointed out, “The statute of limitations doesn’t start to run until the last act in the furtherance of that conspiracy,” and the two Russia hoaxers just restarted the clock on July 30, when they decided to pen an op-ed in The New York Times filled with even more lies in an apparent cover-up.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R‑SD) has unveiled a procedural scheme to block President Donald Trump from making any critical appointments during the August recess, effectively aiding the Democrats’ obstructionist agenda. Under the U.S. Constitution, the president can make “recess appointments,” temporary appointments to federal positions, if the Senate is in recess and not conducting business. These appointments don’t require immediate Senate confirmation and can last until the end of the next session of Congress.

DNI chief Tulsi Gabbard’s public pronouncements regarding RussiaGate have drawn much attention, some plaudits, and lots of conspiracy theorizing. Regardless of theories, the biggest hurdle will be to build a legal case around the information now available. The fact that it looks bad doesn’t mean it’s actionable. At best, Brennan, Clapper, and Comey might be tagged for lying to Congress. However… There is another way. And this one begins with the other “Page” in the horror/comedy book that is the 2016 elections.

Shock turns into outrage. Europeans feel they’ve been duped by Donald Trump. But the trade deal merely lays bare the EU’s accelerating loss of power. Anyone familiar with German politics has long known that Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, is no political heavyweight. Her record as Germany’s family and defense minister speaks for itself. She lacks the intellectual and strategic abilities to navigate or reform complex systems. Yes, she was outplayed by Trump during the trade negotiations -- as expected. But this misses the point. What Europeans are loudly lamenting is not just a bad deal, but the expression of their own geopolitical weakness.

While most of the country has erupted in outrage after an angry mob savagely assaulted two white people in downtown Cincinnati over the weekend, one prominent local politician has the exact opposite reaction to the story. As The Gateway Pundit reported, a group of black individuals smacked around a bald white guy at the intersection of West Fourth Street and Elm Street in downtown Cincy and beat him so bad that he could not get up. Then, a white woman got slugged by one of the cowards. Her head slammed down onto the concrete, and she lost consciousness. Blood was seen coming out of her mouth.

As expected, Texas Democratic legislators have fled the state to deny a quorum for Gov. Greg Abbott's redistricting push. The members flew to Illinois on Sunday, which qualifies as peak irony given that the blue state is arguably the most gerrymandered in the country. This plan was reportedly hatched with Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL), and the 30 odd Democrats will spend at least a week there. Given what we saw when they did this in 2021, denying a quorum for an election reform vote, there is no doubt a lot of grandstanding, dramatics, and cringe singing on the way.

Recently, a large group of black youths began pummeling white adults in downtown Cincinnati. The original altercation apparently broke out between a black and white male in he-said/he-said fashion. But that dispute soon turned into a virtual free-for-all. Numerous male and female black youths sucker-punched a middle-aged woman. Others continued to kick or body slam the victims. There were many disturbing aspects to the beat-downs. One, the violence broke out along racial and age fault lines. After the initial dispute, groups of black youths swarmed solitary older white bystanders to pound them. Two, the surrounding assembled group of black youths not only failed to intervene to restrain the bullies.

The move was reportedly made without the input of the Israeli military’s chief of staff Eyal Zamir — with Netanyahu instructing him to fall in line or resign, according to the internal memo sent out.
