Israel’s military headquarters may have been struck after Iran’s Islamic Republic unleashed a barrage of missiles on central Tel Aviv late Friday night. Alarming footage shared on social media — and verified by The New York Times — showed a strike slamming into an area that houses several military sites, including the Israel Defense Forces’ main command center. Forty-year-old Ramesh Viswashkumar, a British national who had been in India visiting family, said he survived by jumping out of the exit-row door. In wartime it’s particularly difficult to ascertain what’s happening. Governments have a natural and healthy instinct to hide from public eyes what is going on, even those fully democratic ones which in peace have some constraints on official censorship. Nevertheless, the fact that so many people around the world have video-capable mobile phones and access to the internet makes it harder to hide what is happening. All week long I’ve been looking at these videos, reading official IDF reports and statements by leaders of involved countries and they show that Stacey McCain and Lee Smith, whose takes I link to below, are in full
The manhunt for Vance Boelter, 57, the suspect in the Minnesota shootings that left two lawmakers shot and two others dead, took a new turn Saturday as law enforcement detained several of his relatives—including his wife Jennifer—during a traffic stop in Mille Lacs County.
Tom Hauser of ABC 5 Eyewitness News reported that the stop occurred between 10 and 11 a.m. Saturday near a convenience store outside Onamia, roughly 90 minutes north of the Twin Cities. “Law enforcement made a traffic stop involving a vehicle carrying several relatives of Vance Boelter, including his wife,” Hauser said.

One of the many strange angles of the Vance Boelter story is his wife, Jenny. It was known that Boelter is, or has been married, but his wife was curiously absent from early news coverage of Boelter’s murders. Now we know why:
