MONROE, Mich. — In a packed union hall outside Detroit, a worker shifts the conversation from policy to the personal, quizzing Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on his knowledge of Michigan, the state he only recently started calling home. “Mayor Pete — Secretary Pete, I apologize,” one auto worker yelled from the crowd. “Now that you’re a Michigander, who do the Lions play Sunday?” (Snip) Though Buttigieg has publicly and privately stated that he won’t make any decisions about his future until after the Biden administration ends on Jan. 20, he has already fielded calls from Michigan Democrats urging him to

Comments:

He's being touted as a successor to Gov. Gretchwitch, whose term ends in 2026.

When inflation took off like a rocket to the moon Mayor Petie was asked what he would say to Americans who were struggling to pay for the high price of gasoline. His honor said he didn't have any problems at all because he drove an Electric Vehicle. So the main difference between Petie and Marie Antoinette is Marie looked better in a dress. Aloof and condescending is no way to go through life. Who he sleeps with is his business. But please go back into the closet and stay there. There are things I just don't want to know about.

Even given a map and a compass I doubt Petey could deftly find his way out of a paper bag open at both ends. The guy is a complete twerp, has solved NOTHING, accomplished NOTHING ( that I am aware of ) and seems to be about as literally 'lost' a anyone could be !! A mouthpiece and nothing more.

Apparently, the Buttster does not dare return to South Bend, which he left in a mess, pothholes inclded, as mayor. So now he moves to Michigan in his ambition to make a bigger mess in a bigger jurisdiction. Every single one of Trump's cabine nominees is more accomplished and qualified than the Buttster was for Transportation..... of course it was all about where he parked his parts, and nothing else, so that's the lowest the bar can be set.

Climate scientists recently discovered that they’ve been underestimating the impact of a particular organic compound in the atmosphere, and the oversight’s significance is so profound that it’s left existing climate models completely obsolete. As Jo Nova writes, “This is so big, it may change the sacred ‘climate sensitivity’ of the whole Earth”. Isoprene is what’s known as a volatile organic compound, or a VOC, and “has a recognized role in protecting plants against many abiotic stresses” like “heat stress…drought…[and] oxidative stress” with trees being the greatest emitters. (When the chemical isoprene interacts with other compounds in the atmosphere, the products are a number of secondary organic aerosols.)

Interestingly, the particular musical she’s chosen, “& Juliet,” is a tawdry pro-transgender show.
