It will be fought in courts, for certain. I think it should be won in the courts, but with the Obama anti-constitutional judges, hard to be sure.

Birthright citizenship came about by a deliberately faulty, left wing interpretation of the 14th Amendment which is intended (exclusively, IMO) for ex-slaves. If they want to challenge Trump's order they have to go to the court where they will be shown door.

DACA isn't "Codified by Congress" it was a "Deferred enforcement" executive order only to allow a Congressional Immigration reform Bill to be brought up, "Th Dream Act"...but it never passed, even when Dems held the congress,
One fairly simple short term solution is an EO stating that "Full American Citizenship, and it's related Rights do not confer until the age of 21"(or perhaps 18yo)Meaning minors though born in the USA cannot be used to keep the rest of their family here, nor to remain in the country until they file for citizenship at age 18/21.No more Anchor "babies". Also ends the "Pregnancy Tourism" industry where thousands of primarily, south american, central american, South east Asian and LOTS of Chinese fly into the USA as Tourists, just to have their babies here, "earning" the child USA citizenship status. It is a YUUUGE business in California. Entire Hotels constantly full of pregnant chinese women waiting to go into labor.

How about ending government by executive order, ballot initiative, and activist judges, day one. There is a reason our Constitution has served us well for so long; let's not get even more dismissive of it.

#15, there is fantasy and there is reality. Considering that our government of lifelong politicians can't do their sworn duty to create things like a budget, you can forget any reforms from this setup. You are beyond dreaming if you think they will fix something as 'accepted' as born here gets automatic citizenship. ONLY President Trump can force them to publically vote on and act on anything.

About time...and now the next thing must be no "chain" migration ....it's an endless open door for people who don't belong here...it's especially prevalent from the Philippines...were women search out unsuspecting white men to marry and then they open the flood gates for more Philuppines....not vetted and approved by our government....it's a scam and I've personally witnessed it in my family....so don't tell me I don't know....

Fourteenth Amendment: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."
Everyone born in the United States (except maybe a diplomat's child born in their embassy) is an American citizen. Period. Full stop. Birthright citizenship is the law of the land, established by the Constitution. The Fourteenth Amendment is very clear about it, and the Supreme Court has consistently upheld the plain meanings of its words. The only way to change this is by an amendment to the Constitution.
President Trump is getting bad advice on this. He can do NOTHING about birthright citizenship. Nothing. Like it, don't like it, no matter. Your feelings have nothing to do with it. Just live with it. Besides, anchor babies are the least of the problem anyway.
