Since President Trump nominated Pete Hegseth as the next U.S. Defense Secretary, the knives have been out for him. First, they belittled him by claiming he was merely co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend." Even now, in their myriad hit pieces, Hegseth is referred to as the former Fox News host, the implication being that he is a lightweight. After graduating from Princeton University in 2003, Hegseth was commissioned as an infantry officer in the Army National Guard. He volunteered to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star. Yet he’s never referred to as a military veteran. Let's look at the allegations so far.

Establishment Republican strategist Karl Rove attacked highly popular Vice President-elect JD Vance this week for his successful Senate bid in 2022, claiming he was a poor candidate. Rove’s odd and unprompted insult came in a comment to the New York Times in an article published Thursday about Steven Law stepping down as head of the Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)-aligned Senate Leadership Fund super PAC: “There was a candidate running in Ohio who was a terrible fund-raiser and was not a particularly effective candidate and the rest of the Republican ticket is winning by — from 18 to 24 points,” Mr. Rove said. “

And now, a bombshell report out of Politico alleges that Biden's senior aides are contemplating issuing preemptive pardons to a slew of officials they think might be in the line of fire during President-elect Donald Trump's next term.

While in Paris, he will hold meetings with both Trump and America's first lady Jill Biden, Kensington Palace said. Trump and dozens of heads of state and government accepted invitations from French President Emmanuel Macron to attend the ceremony. The iconic cathedral is formally reopening its doors today following an ambitious five-year project to restore a monument

Typically this type of high-profile violent crime sets platforms including TikTok and X alight with buzz, with amateur internet sleuths hunting to root out the perpetrator.

No one seems sure who first said it, maybe Joseph Goebbels, but in any case, it’s a tried-and-tested Alinskyite tactic: accuse your enemy of what you’re doing. Barack Obama is a practiced expert at this, and he gave a master class in it on Thursday at his Obama Foundation’s Orwellian-named Democracy Forum. With some notable and revealing difficulty in getting the words out, Obama accused the Republicans of doing everything that the Democrats have been doing for the past few years: rigging elections, weaponizing the justice system, and trying to ensure that they would remain in power on an indefinite basis. Whatever can be said of Barack Obama, the man

President-elect Donald Trump’s team is reportedly floating the idea of shaking up the White House press briefing room. As expected, members of the press are already whining about it.Team Trump is looking at replacing legacy media outlets in the briefing room’s front rows to make room for independent news organizations, at least some of which might be friendlier to the incoming administration, according to The Hill. People close to Trump have said in recent days he should dramatically change who gets access to the president, suggesting podcasters, internet personalities and media deemed more friendly to him could replace outlets like the major television networks,

There are a few calendar dates that are burned into the American psyche. Some endure for good and happy reasons. Everybody knows why we celebrate July 4 and December 25. Both are part of our national identity as a free nation, the freest on Earth, founded in the Judeo-Christian tradition. Others endure for tragic reasons. November 22 saw the assassination of a president and, days later, his alleged killer, much of it brought directly into our living rooms as the first (and only) such event during the television age. September 11 was a horrifying example of murder brought about by men who hated America simply for being America.

Republican Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) is raising concerns that certain establishment GOP lawmakers may quietly undermine President-elect Donald Trump’s agenda despite publicly claiming to support it. As Trump gears up for another four years in the White House, Roy fears some of his colleagues, particularly those with strong ties to the D.C. establishment, will work behind the scenes to thwart his policies or derail his efforts. The Texas representative’s warnings reflect a broader anxiety within the GOP about the deepening divide between the incoming Trump Administration and those deep inside the swamp. In addition to Roy, others also fear these Republicans may prioritize their political futures.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz lamented losing the 2024 race for the first time in a series of local media interviews this week, with the Democrat admitting he was a “little surprised” that he and Vice President Kamala Harris were defeated. “It felt like at the rallies, at the things I was going to, the shops I was going in, that the momentum was going our way, and it obviously wasn’t at the end,” Walz told KSTP. “So yeah, I was a little surprised. I thought we had a positive message, and I thought the country was ready for that.” (Photo) The Minnesotan’s assessment cuts against that of several Harris campaign aides,

It’s hard to imagine any administration feeling enthusiastic about handing over power to a new president, especially after a hard-fought and often bitter campaign. However, for a regime that has relentlessly sought not only to defeat but to destroy its opponent, a smooth transition becomes almost impossible. Despite the irony that President Joe Biden may have actually cast a vote for President-elect Donald Trump, it’s evident that he and his team are actively creating obstacles to hinder their successors. In ways large and small, from domestic policy to foreign affairs, the most un-American and power hungry administration in modern memory appears determined to obstruct Trump’s agenda. More than 1,000,000 fewer native-born Americans are employed than last year, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The number of foreign-born workers employed increased by roughly 400,000 year-over-year in November, while 1,094,000 fewer native workers were employed, BLS data shows. The large disparity is partly driven by a decrease in the number of native-born Americans employed of 215,000 from October to November.

What has been going on in the Daniel Penny case, from the second NYPD detectives brought the young man in for questioning, has been the grossest and most disgusting miscarriage of justice imaginable. And after living through the past five years of Soros prosecutors, I can imagine some pretty horrible stuff. John had the breaking news earlier about the deadlocked jury... When jury deliberations began in the Daniel Penny case on Tuesday, I really expected we'd have a verdict in a matter of hours or certainly by Wednesday morning. Today, on the jury's 4th day of deliberations they have told the judge they are deadlocked on the manslaughter charge.
