A New Plank For The Trump Platform

Most Americans don’t have warm feelings for the federal government’s tax collection agency. A Pew Research Center poll found that more than half of the country has an unfavorable opinion of the Internal Revenue Service. Only 42% have a favorable opinion. Donald Trump needs to capitalize on this discontent, and at the same time seize the momentum that Javier Milei created when he shut down Argentina’s tax bureau. According to the Pew Research Center, the IRS “was among the least popular” of the 16 federal agencies and departments it asked Americans about in a 2023 survey. While more Democrats held a favorable opinion of the IRS (53%) than unfavorable (40%),

3 things: 1. Fire unnecessary job holders. 2. Zero baseline budgeting. 3. Convert every gvt pension to a 401k. You will see 401ks and the economy they are based on go thru the roof. Bc at long last the gvt will have a stake in the economy not just the stock market which they rig.

I'd settle for a 10% across the board contraction of the federal government, to be repeated every few years. Let the agencies decide what to cut. They know where the waste is. Some agencies should just disappear.

The 53% of Dems who approve of the IRS are the ones who don't pay taxes. Of course they approve of confiscating tax money to support themselves!

Move to a flat tax or a national sales tax. We could eliminate most of the IRS and recoup all the tax revenue lost due to fraud or loopholes.

Trump’s Media Haters Still Don’t Get It 4 replies

This is an actual headline that appeared in a “journalism” newsletter 13 days before the election: “How much coverage of Donald Trump is too much?” The column is from Tom Jones, senior media writer at the Poynter Institute and, you’ll not be surprised to learn, a man consumed by Trump Derangement Syndrome. I’ve said in the past that Jones’ daily “Poynter Report” column would be more accurately titled, “Why I Hate Donald Trump and Fox News.” (For what it’s worth, Jones would dispute this. In 2020, I sent him an email pointing out glaring biases evident in his commentary. He

Democrats have denied that their serial attempts to imprison former President Donald Trump and a long list of his former aides, political allies and supporters amount to an illegal campaign of political lawfare. But how else do you describe President Joe Biden’s shocking demand this week that “we gotta lock him (Donald Trump) up”? Of course, immediately after saying it, Biden even in his attenuated mental state realized he had said something horribly wrong. So he backtracked, auto-erased his initial comment and said, “politically lock him up.” Which of course is a non-sequitur. Lock him up for what? Does it really matter?

A little more than a year ago, a New York Times headline proclaimed what so many have said is absolutely, undeniably so: “The Clean Energy Future Is Arriving Faster Than You Think.” Despite the story’s examples that were supposed to buttress the claims, reality tells a different story. A recent analysis by Bloomberg found that “the fast money on Wall Street has taken a close look at key sectors in the green economy and decided to bet against them.” “Despite vast green stimulus packages in the U.S., Europe, and China, more hedge funds are on average net short batteries, solar, electric vehicles, and hydrogen than are long those sectors;

Two impeachments, 88 felony counts (with guilty verdicts on 34 of them), a massive fine, two assassination attempts, unrelentingly hostile media coverage, a last-minute candidate switcheroo, and Donald Trump is still showing signs that he will win the election in two weeks. So, what do Democrats still have up their sleeve to stop Trump? They must have something. Back in May, we asked what the Democrats’ Plan B was if their lawfare campaign against Trump failed, and offered five options – four of which have come to pass. Here is what we said then.

As Election Day looms and polls tighten up, a solid majority of Americans remain unhappy with the Democratic Party’s machinations to remove President Joe Biden as its candidate and replace him with Vice President Kamala Harris. And it’s not strictly partisan. Many Democrats are also upset at how the party switched candidates, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. As Harris continues to struggle, the national online I&I/TIPP Poll of 1,240 registered voters indicates lingering widespread disappointment with the Democratic Party’s maneuvers to get rid of the age-impaired Biden last July. The poll asked voters whether they agreed or disagreed

Go to Kamala Harris’ campaign website and among the very short list of alleged achievements is this: “She cast the deciding vote to lower drug prices and cap insulin prices for our seniors.” The only problem is that drug costs for seniors have skyrocketed since Harris signed that bill. Harris is pointing to the criminally misnamed “Inflation Reduction Act,” which got zero Republican votes, and which was supposed to lower the cost of prescription drugs by giving, as Harris puts it, “Medicare the power to negotiate lower drug prices with Big Pharma.”

Eight years ago, the mainstream media told us in no uncertain terms that noncitizens don’t vote in American elections. “There is no evidence,” they said. The likely number “is zero.” They were provably wrong then – there’d been multiple accounts of noncitizens who’d registered and voted in elections. In the years since, the evidence of this problem has piled up higher. But the media are still at it. It’s “extremely rare,” they say. It never “affects the outcome of a race.” Republicans are looking to “blame illegals” if Donald Trump loses, etc. Here’s one example of the disconnect. An audit of Texas

Those who have suffered through Obamacare, with its soaring premiums, longer waits for care and millions still left without insurance, should beware. Because Vice President Kamala Harris, if elected, has something equally bad in store for you. Originally, Harris’ put forward a grab bag of “fixes” for Obamacare, which has now been in force for 14 years. Among her recent ideas, according to CNN, include “making permanent the enhanced Obamacare premium subsidies; broadening the $35 monthly cap on insulin and $2,000 annual limit on out-of-pocket costs to all Americans, not just Medicare enrollees; speeding up Medicare drug price negotiations;

Of all the results from the latest I&I/TIPP poll, the most unsettling has to be that voters think Kamala Harris is at least as much of a fiscal and economic conservative as Donald Trump. Our latest poll, taken of 997 likely voters, finds that more voters say they trust Harris (who’s already announced $4 trillion in tax hikes) than Trump to cut taxes by a 48%-45% margin. Among the crucial independent voters, the margin is even greater – 49% to 36%. That’s not all. More trust Harris to bring about energy independence, 48%-47%. Downtown areas of Burlington and Brattleboro, among other cities, were too dangerous to walk at night, following reports of passers-by being attacked by thugs, locals told DailyMail.com. Some blame the crises on costly social programs in a Democrat-leaning state that has Bernie Sanders as a senator and gave President Joe Biden a 36-point landslide win in 2020.

A “frustrated” Michelle Obama attacked Donald Trump during her first campaign trail appearance for Kamala Harris, worrying that the US “will blow this opportunity to finally turn the page on the ugliness” by re-electing the former president. The former first lady did not shy away from slamming the 45th president and his supporters alike during an impassioned speech at Harris’ rally in Kalamazoo, Mich. — her first time stumping for the vice president since the Democratic National Convention in August. Trump supporters and undecided voters hold Harris to a high and unfair double standard while letting the ex-commander in chief coast with little criticism, Obama claimed.
