We’re about two weeks out from what may be the most important election of our lifetime. It always seems to be the most important election of our lifetime, which is a real problem. Frankly, elections shouldn’t be that big a deal. They should be important. They should matter. But they should not be an existential crisis. Look back to 1996 when you had Bill Clinton running for reelection against legit war hero Bob Dole. We had that election, and nothing much changed. But pretty much ever since, it’s been crisis after crisis. It’s always the most important election because the left wants to lead America into a communist nightmare

Thousands of migrants from Haiti and dozens of other countries have arrived in this isolated Indiana city of 18,000 in just a few years.
Furious residents say they no longer feel safe in the once-sleepy downtown, and their kids are being muscled out of the schools by new students who don’t know English and need a lot of help.
They blame Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden.
“Do something. Our community cannot withstand this many people being here,” Candice Espinoza, 32, a local photographer, told The Post when asked what her message would be to the Democratic presidential candidate.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) posted a video to X on Thursday promoting efforts, alongside their friends at FEMA, engaged in disaster cleanup. It is a demonstration of government efficiency at its absolute best.
Or maybe not. They were promptly ratioed into oblivion for the effort.
Worried about hurricane cleanup in Florida after Hurricane Milton? Fear not. These folks are on the case!
"Along with our partners at @FEMA, we will continue with disaster recovery as a result of Hurricane Milton," the video is captioned. "The safety of the American people is our top priority."

For years now there has been a long-promoted talking point in the press that crimes have gone down in this country during the Biden years. This claim has been in defiance of surges of violence in places like New York and D.C., the drugs and affiliated crimes with the mounting homeless problem in Los Angeles and San Francisco, and the ongoing reality of store chains closing locations due to perpetual shoplifting going unaddressed and unabated.
Yet the press has tried to sell us on the concept that things have been calming across the nation

Can Disney and Lucasfilm just let Star Wars die now?
Evidently not, because now we get the latest injection of wokeism into the galaxy far, far away: a transgender clone trooper.
Yes, really.
My friend Ben Bartee briefly covered this yesterday in his "Sodom and Gomorrica" series but did not go into much detail other than demonstrating just how far we have fallen as a culture and arguably as a species. Yes, they really gave him a blue and pink trim to his armor, which, if you are familiar with Star Wars lore, is supposed to indicate which legion he serves in.

Memphis, Tennessee, once known for its blues, soul and rock 'n' roll music, has now turned into a haven for crime and drug abuse.
A study by WalletHub has named the Southern city the most dangerous city to live in America among the 182 cities surveyed.
The United States Department of Justice also declared that this once-flourishing metro has the highest number of homicides - 129 in the first half of 2024.
Apart from this, 167 rapes, 1,028 robberies and 3,763 incidents of aggravated assault were reported in the first half of 2024 in Memphis.
This cultural hotspot also has a crime rate of 98 incidents per 1,000 residents

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was photographed grabbing some takeout at a high-end Sushi restaurant in Washington, D.C. — hours after visiting storm-ravaged North Carolina.
The incident continues a disturbing trend of extremely out-of-touch behavior in the wake of natural disasters Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The storms have resulted in hundreds of lives lost and, in the case of Helene, left countless individuals missing even to this day.
Mayorkas, the first Cabinet secretary to be impeached in 150 years, announced that he had touched down in the Tar Heel State on X, just after 10 AM on Thursday.

How do you do, fellow dudes?
A 90-second video of “typical” men expressing their support for Kamala Harris was widely mocked online Friday — with critics trashing the awkward spot as the “cringiest political ad ever” and an “absurd piece of rubbish.”
The clip features a slew of apparent farmers, car enthusiasts and gym junkies boasting about their masculinity as they repeatedly insist, “I’m a man” and “I’m man enough.”
The script then takes a hard feminist turn as the presumed actors — most of whom were filmed doing outdoor activities or perched on trucks — start rattling off ways they aren’t afraid to support women.

Vice President Kamala Harris can’t even stumble her way through an emergency storm briefing without making it all about her.
Let’s rewind the tape.
As Hurricane Milton approached Florida, President Biden hosted a public briefing with a number of high officials.
Reasonable enough.
Harris — who appeared by Zoom for some reason, a bizarre choice in itself — suddenly seemed to be distracted by something behind the camera, raised her hands to cover her mouth and then barked out, “It’s a live broadcast!”
Plainly, she was hushing off-screen staffers who were trying to feed her lines to make it look like she had something useful to add.

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK) wrote U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Samatha Power Wednesday, accusing the administration of overseeing the “misuse” of over a billion dollars in aid sent to Gaza that was likely seized by Hamas terrorists.
In his letter, he slammed USAID for “inadequate vetting”: [snip] Cotton specifically pointed out that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) often seems to be working hand in hand with the terrorists:

Kamala Harris’s campaign took a hard hit this week during her highly anticipated 60 Minutes interview with CBS’s Bill Whitaker.
What was meant to be a friendly sit-down to showcase her policies turned into an all-out disaster, as Harris was called out for essentially being “handed” the Democrat nomination without ever going through a primary process.
CBS hit her with hard-hitting facts: no votes, no debates, no campaign battle — just an elitist handoff of power.
After a shaky start discussing her foreign policy approach to Middle East tensions, Harris stumbled through an attempted defense of her economic policies, which Whitaker repeatedly challenged.

In a landmark case, the top European Union court has ruled that all member states must recognise gender changes made in other countries within the bloc.
The European Court of Justice (ECJ), which serves as the supreme court of the European Union in matters of EU law, said this week that Romania had violated EU law by refusing to accept as valid a gender transition certificate obtained by Arian Mirzarafie-Ahi in Britain.
The case was spurred after Mirzarafie-Ahi had requested a new birth certificate in Romania, however, the local court demanded that Mirzarafie-Ahi go through a new gender recognition process in Romania rather than accepting the documents from Britain, The Telegraph reports.
