Donald J. Trump is back in the news regarding intelligence. The former president who’s again the GOP’s nominee for the office announced that he won’t be receiving classified intelligence briefings as our Nov. 5 election approaches. Although major party nominees for the White House have received such briefings from the Intelligence Community in recent decades, to prepare them for the national security demands of the Oval Office if elected, Trump is refusing such briefings on the grounds that he doesn’t want to be accused of leaking any classified information

Marcee Gray, the mother of 14-year-old Colt Gray, the Georgia school shooter, has a lengthy rap sheet that includes charges of domestic violence, drug use, and fraud, which led to her being sentenced to prison last December. Colt Gray was arrested on Wednesday at Apalachee High School in Winder, after he opened fire at students and teachers, killing four.
Colt admitted to the shooting, saying "I did it", when told of his Miranda rights. His father, Colin Gray, 54, is accused of purchasing the AR-15-style rifle used by his son. He was arrested on Thursday and was slapped with multiple charges, including second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and cruelty to children.

Schools are closed for the rest of the week in Barrow County, Georgia as the community deals with a major tragedy. Four people including two students, and two teachers are dead; nine others are injured after 14-year-old gunman Colt Gray opened fire at Apalachee High School in northern Georgia.
More than a year ago, tips about online posts threatening a school shooting led Georgia police to interview a 13-year-old boy, but investigators didn’t have enough evidence for an arrest. Colt Gray has been charged as an adult in the deaths of Apalachee High School students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and instructors ,

Fulton County, Georgia, is allegedly not maintaining its voter rolls, according to a recently filed in federal court.
The suit, brought by Fulton County residents Jason Frazier and Earl Ferguson against Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger and members of the Fulton County Department of Registrations and Elections (FCDRE), alleges that “Fulton County does not maintain, nor does it even attempt to maintain, accurate voter rolls.”
The suit cites, in part, testimony from Atlanta city attorney Patrise Perkins-Hooker who said last November that “Fulton County never does an independent search for anybody; dead people, felons, people who live out of state.”

Former President Donald Trump suggested on the evening of Aug. 25 that he may skip a Sept. 10 ABC News debate with Vice President Kamala Harris amid dueling statements issued by both campaigns about whether the microphone should be muted.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that he did not like how the network’s Jonathan Karl handled an interview with Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) on Aug. 25, questioning ABC’s capacity to be impartial.
Trump then wrote, “Why would I do the debate against Kamala Harris on that network?”

The Supreme Court on Aug. 28 turned down President Joe Biden’s request to reinstate a $475 billion student loan relief plan weeks after an appeals court blocked the program.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh referred the application to the full court which denied it. No dissents were recorded.
The Supreme Court said it “expects that the Court of Appeals will render its decision with appropriate dispatch.” The case remains pending in the lower courts.

High LDL (otherwise known as ‘bad’) cholesterol is considered a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke, which together claim over 850,000 lives each year in the United States.
Hence, great efforts are expended in identifying high LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol in patients, and in lowering their levels.
But is cholesterol—and LDL cholesterol in particular—really the arch enemy of health that we’ve been led to believe?
“A person that has good, healthy levels of cholesterol means that their biochemical system is working in this particular spot—in terms of cholesterol regulation and (cholesterol) transport,” says biochemical researcher, Dr. Dayan Goodenowe.

Gov. Katie Hobbs’, D-Ariz., unilateral designation of state agencies as voter registration and ballot drop-off locations is unconstitutional, a lawsuit filed Thursday alleges.
Brought by Arizona GOP Chair Gina Swoboda and two state voters, the suit challenges the legality of two executive orders issued by Hobbs in November 2023 that authorized “certain new state agencies [to serve] as locations where a person can register to vote and drop off completed ballots.” Among the agencies directed to “make voter registration forms” and other election-related information available are the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry and Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections.

CTH has expressed our concerns previously. I always hope to be wrong about intelligence community connected politicians. That said, I shall be a good team player and hope/pray to be wrong about RFK JR.
Robert F Kennedy Jr is introduced by President Trump at a MAGA rally in Arizona. According to RFK Jr earlier in the day, President Trump promised a position in the Trump administration. From the remarks tonight, I suspect that position offered is FDA Commissioner.
