POTTERVILLE, Mich. — Former President Donald Trump said in an interview with NBC News on Thursday that if he is elected, his administration would not only protect access to in-vitro fertilization but would also have either the government or insurance companies cover the cost of the expensive service for American women who need it. "We are going to be, under the Trump administration, we are going to be paying for that treatment," Trump said before adding, "We're going to be mandating that the insurance company pay." Asked to clarify whether the government would pay for IVF services or whether insurance companies would do so, Trump reiterated that one option

No! What happens to all the fertilized embryos that are not chosen to be implanted? They are "stored". Until and if the "parents" "choose" to "use" them. What happens if they are not chosen? They continue to be stored. Until when? That question has not been answered, yet more and more of these precious almost-lives are created every day and put on ice. For how long? For how many? Is this part of God's Plan? Lives begun outside of the womb, never implanted and never born? I don't think so. This is Dr. Mengele territory, nor matter how you dress it up with compassion for women who cannot conceive: In The End, This Is Evil.

Yes, I understand wanting smaller government. Yet, on one side, abortions and vasectomies are being handed out free. The other side is asking for IVF. Death versus life. Sorry, I know what I would choose.

Why? There will be four babies aborted for every one that receives reproductive help. That's kind of counter productive for everybody, especially the taxpayers who will foot the bill.

I have observed several of these IVF and fertility drug situations. My conclusion is that when God says no, it should be no. I have seen babies born needing multiple heart surgeries, babies born missing a thumb, children that were bipolar and became addicts, cancer genes passed down.... We are dealing with broken down genetics that are getting more torn up with each generation. Nature knows when two genes are not a good match up. That being said, Trump may be trying to right his wrong with those rushed "vaccines".

This is a state issue not a federal government issue. Stop punching holes in the Constitution. This is far from any enumerated power. I'm not sure it is a state issue. It may be one of those powers retained by the WTP. There cannot be a limited government and one that gets to decided what is and isn't one of its powers. The Constitution can only be changed by the amendment process. It felt good to see our rights validated and the federal government stopped by the Constitution from deciding whether we have the right to own automatic weapons. That is what freedom feels like. We have no protection outside of the Constitution. We can see what happens: a bloated government ruining our lives; spending that has bankrupting us; wars created by the executive branch, invasions of our borders, harboring our enemies, and as an example of overreaching the EPA claiming puddles are navigable waters. America fought a revolution against empire building by government and our way of life only exists if the federal government is held at bay. We may not be able to turn by the hand of time but we can start chipping away at the rot. This is not a federal government issue.

I went through IVF four times in the 80’s when it was about $5,000 a pop and we paid for it ourselves because insurance wouldn’t cover it. Can I get reimbursed for that now? Not really - I don’t want our tax dollars paying for abortions and I don’t want it for IVF either. For #8…We had all of our fertilized eggs implanted but we signed a form which would put any that weren’t used available for adoption. There are woman who are born without any eggs at all. Ultimately I got pregnant with twins on the last attempt but miscarried both of them and we were blessed to adopt a newborn the following year.

TAMPA, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump has shown his support for Amendment 3, Florida’s recreational marijuana amendment in a post shared on Saturday morning. In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump said that despite people’s stance on the amendment, it will “happen through the approval of Voters, so it should be done correctly.” The former President went on to say that State Legislature must “responsibly create laws” that will keep marijuana out of public places due to the smell before referring to “many of the Democrat-run Cities.” In the post, he argued that a Floridian caught with marijuana shouldn’t be criminalized when it is legal

Is Kamala Harris having second thoughts about picking Tim Walz as her running mate? If she isn't, she probably should be. A new poll out of Pennsylvania is shedding some light on just how much of an own-goal that was. Before getting there, though, the topline is really good news for Donald Trump, showing him tied in the head-to-head and leading in the five-way matchup (which is more relevant). It appears Harris' momentum has been completely halted, with no perceivable bounce from the DNC. Bob Casey, the Democrat senator up for re-election in Pennsylvania, only being up two points is also a huge result for Republicans.

A federal appeals court rejected an appeal by pro-transgender advocates, allowing Alabama to keep protecting children and youths from transgender advocates. The good news was matched by other events in Texas, Virginia, and Missouri where judges and university officials rejected demands from transgender advocates seeking to minimize the public’s recognition of the two male and female sexes. The United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals released a divided 173-page decision in which ten out of 11 judges took part, according to the Alabama Reflector.

This looks slightly more serious as an instance of political dishonesty than the Case of the Missing Big Mac, but maybe not by much. Apparently, a story told by Tim Walz about the George Bush campaign provoking him into a career in electoral politics has some serious holes in it. But is it far enough off from the truth to matter these days? If a Democrat's origin story falls in the forest, will the media report it even if people are around to hear it? Earlier this afternoon, investigative reporter Gabe Kaminsky dug into a tale told by Walz that claimed he had only chosen a career in politics

Donald Trump says he will vote “no” on Florida’s abortion-rights referendum, after angering pro-lifers by suggesting that he would support the bill earlier this week. Florida Amendment 4 would enshrine a constitutional right to abortion in the state. When asked on Thursday if he would vote for the ballot measure, Trump said that “I think the six-week [abortion ban] is too short. There has to be more time, and I’ve told them that I want more weeks,” leaving pro-life Republicans to assume that the president would vote for the referendum. Trump’s campaign later defensively said that he “has not yet said how he will vote on the ballot initiative”
